It's totally free, loads of camper vans parked up overnight, not sure about the boat launching process or costs for the slipway, or how to get in touch with the harbor authorities.

We absolutely adored the Dunes Café! It was a delightful experience with ample parking and convenient public restroom facilities. The stroll across the Ladies bridge onto the pristine sandy beach was simply charming. Additionally, there was a lush grassy area with inviting benches to relax on. A truly picturesque setting!

A quaint little harbor town with only three hotels. A lovely spot that's just a short stroll away from the impressive new Slains Castle 🏰 definitely worth a visit.

What a lovely day it was, I must say! The tranquil atmosphere of the Marina was simply delightful - a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I couldn't help but notice a few "van life" enthusiasts who had discovered this gem of a spot. It's no wonder they chose to park up here.

While some were busy fishing, I found myself thinking that with a cozy chair and a good book, I could have easily whiled away the hours just listening to the gentle sound of the sea against the harbor. A truly peaceful retreat, indeed.
Nancy Sullivan (10/07/2025, 12:52):

Helen Long (04/07/2025, 14:39):
It would be lovely to have a bit of a sea view while shopping, but perhaps I'm just focusing on the positive side given the lack of tourism in that area.
Kevin Butler (30/06/2025, 04:01):
I really enjoyed my time there! The harbor was bustling with people, and the beach was also quite lively.
