Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy Dalkeith: A Review of Services and Accessibility

Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy, located in Dalkeith, has established itself as a local pharmacy offering a variety of services. While many customers appreciate the friendly staff and overall accessibility, others have noted significant issues with service speed and organization.

Payment Options for Customers

At Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy, customers can choose from various payment options, including credit cards and debit cards. The pharmacy also supports NFC mobile payments, ensuring a seamless checkout process for modern consumers. However, it’s important to note that long queues can hinder a swift payment experience.

Service Options Available

The pharmacy prides itself on providing necessary medications and healthcare products. Despite its wide range of offerings, many customers report having to wait excessively to pick up prescriptions. Some individuals have experienced waits of over an hour, with requests for essential items often going unresolved. Although the pharmacy has been recognized for its helpful staff, the repeated issues with service indicate a need for improved organization and management.

Accessibility Features

Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy aims to cater to all customers by providing a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park. This commitment to accessibility is crucial for those with mobility challenges, allowing them to visit the pharmacy without undue stress.

Delivery Services

Currently, there is mention of delivery services, yet the effectiveness of these services has come into question. Many customers express frustration with delayed prescriptions, leading to concerns about accessibility when urgent medications are required. Having clear communication and reliable delivery options would enhance the overall customer experience.

Customer Feedback: Mixed Reviews

Despite the pharmacy’s positive attributes, the feedback from customers has been mixed. With several reviews pointing out the staff's efforts to assist, many customers highlight ongoing challenges: - Long wait times often associated with a short-staffing issue. - Instances of lost prescriptions leading to further delays. - Poor communication regarding medication availability. On the other hand, some patrons appreciate the attentive service from staff when addressing issues or clarifications. It’s clear that while there has been progress, there remains room for improvement.

Conclusion

Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy in Dalkeith offers essential services and convenience but grapples with operational challenges that detract from the overall customer experience. By addressing staffing issues and enhancing organizational practices, this pharmacy could significantly improve its service quality and customer satisfaction ratings.

Absolutely dreadful customer service. I've been waiting for two weeks since my doctor sent in the prescription. I've been attempting to pick it up for the past 5 days, only to be met with an incredibly long and slow-moving queue. Today, I waited a whopping 45 minutes and there were still 6 people ahead of me. I left once again without my medication. Quite frustrating, to say the least.
Beverly Brown (12/07/2025, 16:03):
What a complete disaster of a pharmacy...was given a prescription and had to endure a 4-day wait, only to find out upon collection that the medication hadn't even been prepared yet!
Charles Martin (11/07/2025, 16:06):
Top-notch service from the doctors, although they initially overlooked an important item. After informing the lovely ladies at Lindsay, they promptly contacted the surgery and had the item ready the next day. The text service notifying me of its readiness for pickup was very convenient. The staff is truly helpful and I'm grateful for their assistance.
Ann Alexander (10/07/2025, 12:07):
This apothecary used to be jolly dreadful, I must say. However, in the last half-year they have made a remarkable improvement. Full marks!
Teresa Clark (09/07/2025, 23:01):
What a shambles in there, it is.
Andrea Murphy (08/07/2025, 20:35):
The queues have disappeared, it's so much better now!
Zoey Flores (04/07/2025, 01:18):
The staff be very courteous and accommodating, mate.
Stephanie Campbell (02/07/2025, 19:06):
The blower is always engrossed, or they just never seem to pick up when it starts chiming. It's quite daft, innit? It takes more than 10 days for them to sort out your meds, and even then, they usually miss a few. I rely on a fair few medications for me health, and I can't be running out due to their bumbling ways. Best steer clear of this chemist, if you ask me!
Kathleen Parker (02/07/2025, 08:01):
I found this blog to be quite helpful in providing insights on Pharmacy-related topics. The information is clearly presented and easy to understand, making it a valuable resource for anyone looking to learn more about this subject. I appreciate the effort put into creating such informative content.
Alan Carter (28/06/2025, 10:03):
I've been trying to reach the pharmacy a good 48 times today, only to have it ring endlessly. What's the point of having a phone number if nobody bothers to pick up? Absolutely appalling customer service.
Patricia Scott (24/06/2025, 04:42):
They never pick up the blower. You give it a whirl, and all you get is the ring-a-ding-ding. Two ticks later, you have a crack, and it's already taken! After that, you have another go, and it just rings and rings. Rubbish customer service, if you ask me.
Zoey Simmons (21/06/2025, 09:35):
The staff at this pharmacy is always pleasant and my prescriptions are ready on time.
William Thomas (18/06/2025, 18:42):
Hey there! I was just wondering if you ever pick up your phone?
Amelia Cruz (18/06/2025, 13:55):
Rarely do they pick up the phone. I was assured that my heart medication would be delivered but it never showed up. This pharmacy used to be top-notch in the neighborhood, but not anymore.
Terry Ramos (17/06/2025, 11:23):
Absolutely dreadful pharmacy experience! Every time I pop in to pick up my little one's formula, it's never prepared and waiting for me. Despite giving them a generous week to 10 days heads-up. I even attempted reordering additional milk right after collecting the prescription, and still, it's never there on schedule. The frantic dash to alternate pharmacies to secure more to feed a famished baby is incredibly anxiety-inducing. Certainly won't be returning!
Daisy Baker (16/06/2025, 16:48):
The new employees at the pharmacy keep bungling my prescriptions or misplacing them. This chemist is a complete disaster! I'm starting to believe they're pilfering pills for themselves, which would explain why they can never locate anyone's prescriptions. The impoliteness from the staff is unbelievable. Bring back the previous team; we never encountered these issues before.
Jack Edwards (15/06/2025, 05:12):
This article has been really helpful in giving me some great insights into Pharmacy. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
Jose Taylor (15/06/2025, 00:30):
I have always had a soft spot for this charming little pharmacy. It may be small, but it packs a punch with its wide range of products, with a focus on all things pharmaceutical.
Jordan Hamilton (14/06/2025, 10:30):
The staff bein' friendly is always a plus, but the constant blunders with prescriptions can really grind yer gears. I was in dire need o' me medication and had t' wait a good 20 minutes just to get the correct one, which was downright shocking, I tell ya.
Layla Perry (13/06/2025, 00:30):
I must say, I am utterly flabbergasted! I have been without my medication for a fortnight now, and I shall be reaching out to the authorities about this egregious oversight. This establishment has never failed me before, and I am quite perturbed by this lapse.
