Boots Pharmacy in Glasgow: A Comprehensive Review

Located in the heart of Glasgow, Boots Pharmacy offers a variety of services to meet the needs of its customers. However, recent feedback reveals a mix of experiences regarding their service options, accessibility, and overall customer satisfaction.

Accessibility Features

The Boots Pharmacy on Crown Street ensures a wheelchair-accessible entrance, making it easy for everyone to access the store. Despite these efforts, some customers have raised concerns about accessibility in terms of staff responsiveness and willingness to assist those who may need extra support.

Service Options and Customer Experience

When it comes to in-store shopping and other service options like in-store pick-up and delivery, experiences vary. Many customers report long wait times, even during off-peak hours. One individual noted that despite having an email confirmation to collect a parcel, the staff struggled to locate the item, leading to frustration and delays.

Furthermore, issues with repeat prescriptions have also been highlighted. Some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the planning of prescription readiness, claiming a lack of communication from the staff. This has resulted in unnecessary stress for those relying on timely medication pickups.

Payments and Transaction Options

Boots Pharmacy caters to modern payment preferences by accepting credit cards and NFC mobile payments. While this is appreciated by many customers, difficulties in updating opening hours and insufficient staffing during busy times can lead to frustrating experiences at the checkout.

Staff Training and Customer Service

Customer service appears to be a significant area for improvement. Many reviews point out that while some staff members are helpful and polite, others exhibit a lack of empathy, particularly in stressful situations related to health. As one reviewer described, a panic attack escalated due to the unhelpful attitude of a sales advisor. Therefore, investing in customer service training could greatly enhance the patient experience.

Conclusion

In summary, Boots Pharmacy in Glasgow offers essential services and accessibility features, but it faces challenges concerning customer service and effective communication. Improvements in staff training and operational management could significantly boost customer satisfaction and make a quick visit more enjoyable for everyone.

The time it takes to fill prescriptions at this pharmacy is really, really slow, no matter what time you go.
Justin Clark (17/05/2025, 23:40):
The staff at this pharmacy is quite accommodating and efficient.
Donna Phillips (12/05/2025, 18:28):
The staff at this pharmacy were incredibly accommodating, and the pharmacist was absolutely delightful and very understanding with me.
Allison Jordan (06/05/2025, 07:00):
Firstly, I would kindly request that BOOTS updates its opening hours to reflect the midday closure. Additionally, it seems that attempts to contact them via phone have been fruitless throughout the day. Sadly, there appears to have been an error with my prescription, rendering my upcoming appointment with the nurse irrelevant as I lack the necessary items due to this oversight. Overall, the service provided has been quite disappointing.
