Welcome to Rowlands Pharmacy, Crown Street, Glasgow

Rowlands Pharmacy located at Crown Street in Glasgow is a key player in providing essential pharmaceutical services to the local community. Unfortunately, customer feedback has revealed some challenges that need addressing.

Payment Options and Accessibility

At Rowlands Pharmacy, credit cards are accepted, making it convenient for customers to make payments without hassle. The pharmacy also boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance, ensuring that everyone can access their services. However, many reviews indicate that while the facilities are accommodating, the level of service could be improved to match the accessibility features provided.

Service Options and Experience

While some customers have expressed satisfaction with the helpfulness of staff, others have reported issues with prescription availability. Many have experienced delays, claiming that they often have to wait longer than expected for their medications. One user mentioned, “Bring a book or something to pass the time because they take forever to serve you!” This sentiment echoes the experiences of several other patrons who have found themselves waiting for what seems like an eternity.

On the positive side, there are frequent mentions of friendly staff who strive to assist customers even during busy periods. Some reviewers highlighted how staff helped sort out prescriptions with doctors when issues arose, showcasing their dedication despite feeling overwhelmed.

In-Store Pick-Up Challenges

Despite the advantage of in-store pick-up, the reliability of this service has come into question. Some patients reported receiving text messages indicating that their prescriptions were ready for collection, only to find that the items were out of stock. This inconsistency has led to frustration among customers, with one stating, "I’ll be changing to another chemist who will do their job." Such experiences suggest a need for better communication and inventory management within the pharmacy.

Conclusion

While Rowlands Pharmacy on Crown Street offers essential services and has a commitment to customer care, it must focus on improving wait times, prescription accuracy, and overall service efficiency. Addressing these concerns could enhance both customer satisfaction and operational success.

A top-notch service, highly recommended!

The staff at this pharmacy is simply top-notch – efficient, friendly, and professional. Clearly, they must have an exceptional manager leading the team.
David Bennett (15/07/2025, 08:07):
This pharmacy in Glasgow must be the slowest I've ever encountered. I've been there twice now and both times they told me the wait would be 20 minutes, but it ended up being 40 minutes. The staff just seem to be floating about with no sense of urgency.
Lauren Foster (11/07/2025, 12:19):
Regrettably, I've had a rather disappointing experience with this pharmacy. It feels like everything is always on backorder and I find myself waiting for the essentials, even when they should be readily available. Moreover, the medication I require is frequently out of stock, leaving me no choice but to seek it elsewhere. I do hope that their medication service improves to cater to basic needs more effectively.
Ashley Rodriguez (06/07/2025, 03:33):
Inefficient staff and company. Received a text message notifying me that my prescription was in stock, but after being disappointed multiple times, I now make it a point to call and verify. After waiting three days since the text, I was informed that my prescription was ready for collection, only to be told later that it was actually out of stock. The staff claimed that the prescriptions were prepared, yet accidentally revealed that they had just placed an order for my missing medications. It's evident that they were being dishonest, as the items should have been ordered well in advance if they were truly made up beforehand. The staff's incompetence is disheartening, especially considering this chemist used to provide good service. I will be switching to another chemist that can fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

Top-notch service, splendid customer support as well.
Diana Barnes (30/06/2025, 07:14):
Honestly, the reviews on this platform are just absurd. This pharmacy in the Gorbals is the largest around and is experiencing a surge in patient numbers due to new homes popping up all over the place. Some folks seem to think they can waltz in and walk out with instant prescriptions, but the front desk team can only provide what the pharmacist has authorized, causing delays that are not their fault. It's clear they could use more hands on deck both at the front and in the back of the house. The workload has increased but the staffing levels haven't quite kept up. The ladies at the front desk really keep things running smoothly, to be honest. Those griping should remember that they are receiving their medications for free! It's truly cringe-worthy to see grown adults yelling at the staff because they had to wait or because their doctors messed up their scripts. It's embarrassing, and they need to stop with the drama. Not everyone is supporting your complaints; some are chuckling at your childish behavior. Everyone should try to show a little more patience towards all the hardworking staff. Is it flawless? No. Is it better than the Boots pharmacy down the street? Absolutely. Could management bring in more help? That should be at the top of the priority list! So, folks, let's put an end to the complaining!

Absolutely top-notch service. A solid 10 out of 10 in my books. Highly recommend!
Brian Myers (22/06/2025, 17:42):
Make sure to grab a book or something to keep you entertained because the service here is incredibly slow! And don't count on them ever being on time. Despite my doctor telling me to expect my prescription in 2 working days, I've found myself waiting much longer. In my 3 years living in Glasgow, I have never experienced such delays at other pharmacies I've visited.
Andrew Kim (21/06/2025, 03:07):
I always seem to have trouble getting my prescriptions on time from this pharmacy. It feels like I'm always waiting around, and even when they finally have it ready, it's at the last minute. It can be quite frustrating.
Virginia Long (20/06/2025, 04:48):
Service was an absolute shambles, mate! Even when you're the only one waiting for your prescription, it takes over half an hour.
Allison Williams (15/06/2025, 18:44):
I thought things would improve when Rowland took charge, but they've only gotten worse. Trying to get a repeat prescription feels like an impossible mission.
Sophia Bennett (02/06/2025, 11:10):
The staff at this pharmacy have always gone above and beyond to assist me, even during peak hours. They have efficiently managed my prescriptions with the physicians when any issues arose and offered valuable advice when sought.
