Some customers have expressed concerns about the waiting times for prescriptions, reporting waits of up to 40 minutes. Additionally, there has been feedback regarding the pharmacy's policy of allowing only two customers at a time, which sometimes creates confusion, especially with the separate queue for those needing medications for addiction. Conclusion

Overall, Lloyds Pharmacy in Kilwinning proves to be an essential part of the community. With a focus on customer service, a variety of payment options, and efficient handling of prescriptions, it remains a top choice for residents. While improvements could be made in staffing and queue management, the dedication of the team ensures that every customer feels valued and supported.

Lovely gals at this establishment! There we were, waiting in line at the entrance due to covid protocols, when some numpty decided to cut the line. The lady at the counter promptly left her there and came to assist me at the door. Now that's what I call top-notch service!

I've been trying to reach Loyds Pharmacy in Kilwinning all morning, but no one seems to be answering the phone. It's quite frustrating as I urgently need to speak to someone from the pharmacy.
Patricia Edwards (14/07/2025, 07:55):
This pharmacy is absolutely brilliant, the staff are so friendly and always ready to help with any questions you have.

I do have a couple of critiques though. They still have the rule of only allowing two customers at a time, which I understand is necessary, but they combine the queue for the pharmacy with the queue for individuals struggling with addiction. This has led to some tense situations as the individuals struggling with addiction feel like they are being overlooked. It would be great if they could implement a more organized queuing system to address this issue.

Overall, despite these small drawbacks, this pharmacy is the top choice in Ayrshire.

It's absolutely ridiculous, mate! Me prescriptions are never ready after 3 days. It's like pulling teeth trying to get me medication on time. Absolutely bonkers, I tell ya!
Margaret Kim (06/07/2025, 03:52):
A pharmacy that ain't open on a Saturday? That just don't make no sense to me! How are we supposed to get our meds when we need 'em most? It's a real inconvenience for folks like me who work during the week and rely on weekends to take care of our health. I reckon they oughta reconsider their hours to better serve the community.
Margaret Hughes (04/07/2025, 06:10):
The service can be a bit sluggish at times, unlike Boots, which is notoriously slow. And don't even get me started on Townhead – they only handed out 2 strips of tramadol instead of the 3 prescribed! They refused to take any responsibility or admit there may have been an error on their part. When I addressed the issue with them, I wasn't looking to get the missing strip back; all I wanted was for them to acknowledge their mistake. Incorrect amounts or a lack of medication could potentially be life-threatening, so it's crucial for pharmacies to be vigilant in their duties.
Jesse Stewart (01/07/2025, 15:56):
Thanks to the pharmacist who stopped to chat with me and offer assistance.
Dorothy Reed (30/06/2025, 10:28):
We were a little slow, but the staff were quite helpful.
Betty Patterson (30/06/2025, 07:43):
Top-notch chemist in Ayrshire! The staff is friendly and super helpful, especially when you're unable to reach a doctor.
Carl Robinson (22/06/2025, 08:15):
I absolutely adore this pharmacy! It's always so clean and well-organized, and don't even get me started on the amazing make-up section they have. It's right in the heart of town, making it super convenient as well. Love it!
Rachel Bennett (14/06/2025, 04:31):
The staff are really friendly and always happy to assist you with anything you need. They make sure to separate the queue for addicts from other customers, with a side window for addicts to use, so that everyone can still be served efficiently. However, some people might find it a bit confusing at first. Overall, the wait time for prescriptions is short, much quicker than other pharmacies like Boots nearby.
Kenneth Allen (10/06/2025, 17:40):
The staff at this pharmacy is always helpful and understanding, but they can be a tad slow when it comes to waiting for medications.
Cheryl Ortiz (04/06/2025, 07:06):
The staff at this pharmacy are absolutely lovely and helpful, no doubt about it. However, it's quite unfortunate that the owners seem to struggle in hiring enough employees. This has resulted in the existing staff being overworked and stressed out. It's not uncommon to wait for up to 40 minutes to get a prescription filled, and there's no guarantee you'll even receive it on the same day. The place is clearly understaffed and disorganized. Despite all this, the current employees who do show up to work are still kind and eager to assist. It's a shame they have to bear the brunt of the workload. The owners at Lloyds really need to step up and address these issues. My sympathies go out to the hardworking staff members.
