Discovering Sainsbury's Supermarket in Aberdeen

Sainsbury's, one of the largest supermarket chains in the UK, offers an extensive array of offerings for shoppers in Aberdeen. Located conveniently with ample parking, including a wheelchair-accessible car park, it caters to both quick visits and larger shopping trips.

A Broad Range of Amenities

This supermarket is well-organized and clean, providing excellent service options such as no-contact delivery and in-store pick-up. For those keen on sustainability, Sainsbury's also features a solid recycling area where you can return items like glass bottles and receive 5p for each returned item.

Shopping Experience

While Sainsbury's is recognized for its great produce, including a good selection of organic products, some shoppers have pointed out that prices can be higher than competitors like Asda. However, many believe that the quality justifies the cost. The store boasts multiple checkout points, ensuring that crowds are managed effectively, especially during busy hours.

For a seamless shopping experience, Sainsbury’s supports various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. Customers also appreciate the convenience of having an ATM on-site for any cash needs. The supermarket prioritizes accessibility for all, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance to accommodate diverse shopper needs.

The Community Focus

Sainsbury's is not just a retail store but also an LGBTQ+ friendly shopping destination that embraces diversity. This community-oriented approach resonates well with many customers who value inclusivity in their shopping environment.

Highlights and Customer Feedback

Customer reviews highlight both positive experiences and areas for improvement. Many praise the friendly staff and the store's cleanliness, while others express concerns about stock availability and occasional messy conditions in the bathrooms. In conclusion, Sainsbury's in Aberdeen serves as a comprehensive stop for groceries, household necessities, and more. It continues to evolve and improve its services, making it a valuable part of the community despite occasional feedback regarding pricing and inventory management.

I had a shopping experience at this supermarket last night on the 8th of December. Upon returning home, I discovered that our bread had a best before date of the 8th of December. This is not the first time this has occurred; previously, I purchased milk that was two days past its expiry date. It is essential for fresh produce to be promptly placed on the shelves, as it should not be the responsibility of the customer to inspect every item before purchase. This level of oversight is simply unacceptable!

Great supermarket. Tons of options.

I must say, it's quite a bother not being able to ring up the shop just to see if the car wash is in working order due to their so-called "upgrades" on the phone system. The automated voice just can't seem to grasp what I'm saying! I've been a loyal customer at Sainsbury's for years, popping in for my groceries, filling up on fuel, and giving my car a good scrub at the wash. But lately, it seems like the car wash is out of commission more often than not. It's rather frustrating to have no choice but to make the trip over, only to discover it's closed once again. Not exactly what I'd call a "betterment" of services, if you ask me.

This supermarket is a jolly good spot to fetch your essential household bits and bobs. Cheers!

I popped into the supermarket yesterday evening and had an absolutely smashing experience with the staff. They were top-notch in every area.

The bloke at the checkout was absolutely brilliant, engaging in cheerful chit-chat with every customer. He really lifted our spirits!
The folks at the tobacco counter were just lovely, keeping things light and breezy.
And the team at Starbucks were so attentive and delightful.
Michael Stewart (14/06/2025, 05:03):
I must say, this supermarket is quite good and spacious, offering a wide range of products. However, there's one aspect that disappoints me - the absence of freshly baked goods like other branches. I particularly miss the delightful croissants from Sainsbury's, which are not available here in their fresh form.
Sophia Jordan (12/06/2025, 15:17):
Once again, a splendid shopping experience at Supermarket - loads of delicious treats for the weekend to indulge in, all of excellent quality. The fresh sausage rolls are an absolute must-try, but you'll need to be an early bird to snag them before they fly off the shelves. Their prices are quite competitive compared to the nearby Asda, and the food quality is superior. Plus, you earn loyalty points on your purchases!
Keith Richardson (11/06/2025, 15:02):
Convenient parking and a great location in the heart of supermarkets, shops, and petrol stations. A favorite spot for locals. Sainsbury's is roomy and tidy, offering a wide range of food and household essentials. The staff is consistently friendly.
Susan Sanchez (09/06/2025, 23:40):
The staff at this supermarket are always so friendly. My Granny loves shopping here because she enjoys the lovely interactions with the staff.
On a separate note, I was disappointed to find that they no longer stock the French cheese Chaource. However, I discovered that it is available at the other Sainsbury's store in Aberdeen. It made me quite sad... :(

We popped in for a bite to eat after the wee lad's educational jaunt at Explore Learning. Quite let down by the grub, I must say. Portions were tiny, waited an age, and the flavor was akin to reheated frozen food from the supermarket. Haven't been back since. You might be better off snagging a hot meat dish from the counter or even opting for a sandwich, to be frank.
Angela Ward (09/06/2025, 02:32):
Quite often there's a lack of stock in many veggies. Currently, there's always a shortage of eggs. The car park is rougher than the moon's surface. Other stores seem to do just fine stocking these items and have smooth car parks.
Stephanie Reynolds (07/06/2025, 10:59):
Fantastic store located in a convenient area with other nearby shops. The selection of products is outstanding, offering essential items and much more. The store is surprisingly spacious, larger than it appears from the outside.
