Great Produce and Offerings

Customers are often impressed by the great produce available. Tesco provides a variety of groceries, fresh vegetables, and international food options that cater to diverse culinary preferences. Regulars commend the store for its well-stocked shelves and a wide selection of items, including homeware, clothing, and stationery, making it a true one-stop shop. Parking and Accessibility Challenges

Despite this, the spacious parking generally adds to the positive shopping experience, allowing easy access for families and those needing extra space for mobility aids.

Customer Service Experience

The service options at Tesco Extra vary, with many customers praising the helpful staff who assist in navigating the aisles and locating items. However, there have been mixed reviews regarding the customer service at the checkouts and self-service areas. While some recognize the efficiency of the self-service machines, others have raised concerns about understaffing and long queues, particularly during busy hours. Feedback suggests that management could focus on improving the overall shopping atmosphere by ensuring adequate staffing levels.

This massive store offers a fantastic variety of products and a spacious free parking area. The clothing department boasts an extensive range of brands to choose from. And if you're in need of a break, there's a convenient Costa coffee shop right on the premises.

Enormous family-friendly emporium, the biggest in the Lothian region. Boasting an extensive selection of provisions, non-edibles, and a generous F&F apparel section on the upper level. Also includes a dentist, opticians, and a cozy Costa Coffee corner. Various recycling options available both indoors and outdoors.
Terry Morgan (22/07/2025, 13:45):
Open 24 hours, so it's really convenient to be able to do a weekly grocery shopping on the way home at 9:30 on a Sunday evening.

I've been frequenting this establishment for quite some time now and I reckon I've dropped a hefty sum in their aisles over the years. By and large, it's a decent spot, and they were quite helpful during the lockdown period.

However, of late, I've encountered a bit of bother when exiting the store due to the presence of a group of permanent homeless chaps and their associates who seem to enjoy causing a ruckus. One of them even had the audacity to throw me some attitude, saying, "What are you staring at, mate?" Quite the classic move, if I do say so myself!

I do have alternatives on the table, though. There's a new supermarket in the works nearby that might just fit the bill. If I continue to face such unruly behavior from this lot, I won't hesitate to take my business elsewhere.

This establishment is in a right state, the deli counter always closed, shelves in disarray. I've been requesting for a week to stock some sugar-free Red Bull as I'm diabetic, but all I get are nonchalant shrugs and indifferent looks from the employees.
Kathleen Foster (20/07/2025, 21:04):
My dear ol' Auntie took a turn at Tesco this week and the staff were absolute darlings, especially Fiona who reached out to us and kept her company until we got there. Bless their hearts, truly grateful for their kindness.
Elizabeth Edwards (20/07/2025, 01:07):
Just popped into this supermarket for the first time and we were a bit lost. The staff weren't very helpful and seemed a little rude.
Karen Miller (19/07/2025, 00:32):
I must say, my visit to your store yesterday was quite disappointing. It seemed like everyone was moving in whichever direction they pleased, with customers casually blocking aisles for a chat and your staff seemingly oblivious to it all. The hygiene standards in your store were severely lacking, with no sense of control whatsoever. It may be a while before I consider returning to your establishment.
Sandra Campbell (16/07/2025, 17:14):
I popped into Supermarket for my lunch, as we only get a cheeky 40 minutes a day for it, and couldn't spot a spoon or fork anywhere in the vicinity. I bravely approached one of the staff members for assistance, but alas, it did not go as smooth as silk. The lass completely brushed me off, leaving me spoonless for my pasta, as she was deeply engrossed in a chat with one of her mates. This left me feeling quite miffed and mortified.

This outrageous incident occurred around 12:25 in the meal deal section, where a slightly plump blonde lady was holding court.
Emma Gray (11/07/2025, 04:47):
This spot has a cracking assortment of goodies, mate. From games to grub, electrical gizmos, and a proper cafe to boot. Open round the clock with self-service options, and you can even pay using Tesco's handy app. Cheers!
Doris Turner (10/07/2025, 04:21):
The supermarket was fantastic. The family aisle was spacious and well-maintained. The deli section was top-notch, with helpful staff and impressive displays. The checkout experience was smooth and efficient. Overall, a truly wonderful shopping experience with breathtaking views of the aisles.
Jean Myers (09/07/2025, 14:21):
I attempted to return an electrical item purchased from Tesco Direct at the 'direct' section of the store today, but was denied by the store manager. My daughter's portable DVD player was malfunctioning (refused to play a DVD at home) but conveniently worked fine in the store. However, as you're aware, having an intermittent issue with an electrical device is not ideal! They disregarded my concerns and showed no interest. All I can say is avoid buying electrical goods from Tesco. Amazon would have easily exchanged it without any hassle. They are becoming too arrogant and the customer service at this particular store is terrible. I will not be spending my hard-earned money here in the future.
Rachel Perry (05/07/2025, 18:45):
It was fantastic, but prices have been steadily increasing. It's a pity they cut back on the tech department so much. I would have easily given them 5 stars if they hadn't done that.
Juan King (05/07/2025, 10:42):
I do say, there was this chap with a shiny pate, spotted at 8pm on the 10th of February in the pasta aisle. Quite the scallywag, he was, not bothering to wear his mask properly. And to top it off, he rudely shouted "move" when he wanted to access a shelf I happened to be perusing. Oh, the audacity!
Gary Morgan (03/07/2025, 08:24):
A jolly massive Tesco, mate! This bloomin' store brings together nearly every aspect of the Tesco brand in one place. You've got your typical supermarket bits and bobs on the ground floor, and all the homeware and electric goods up on the fancy first floor.

They've got these self-service machines and check-out-as-you-go options. And would you believe it, they even 'ave a Tesco bank there!

The staff 'ave been right lovely and quick every time we've popped in. Only downside is sometimes there's a bit of a queue to get out of the car park during the busy times. And the way they've organised the stock can be a bit wonky at times, if you catch my drift.
Joseph Brown (30/06/2025, 04:45):
I'd rate Tesco Extra Corstorphine at a solid 8 out of 10. It offers fantastic value for money with a vast selection of goods including groceries, fresh produce, clothing, office supplies, and household necessities. It's a convenient one-stop supermarket that ticks all the boxes for me.
Kathleen Henderson (28/06/2025, 19:14):
We have been loyal customers for years and have never had any reason to complain about the top-notch quality of the products available at this supermarket. Cheers! 🛒👌
Mark Perez (23/06/2025, 05:39):
I'm always chuffed with me grocery run at this place. Proper massive and stocked full of a wide variety of groceries. They restock the shelves pretty often, but it would be ace if they did it more frequently. Can't get enough of the scan as you shop feature though!
Jose Rivera (21/06/2025, 23:36):
I must say, this Tesco is quite smashing! The shoppers are handled admirably, the staff are always there to assist customers and make them feel comfortable, with big smiles and a warm welcome. A special shoutout to the self-checkout team who are ever so quick to lend a hand when folks are a bit flummoxed. Jolly good job, chaps!
Logan White (20/06/2025, 17:37):
Absolutely dreadful experience in the store today, I must say. The cacophony was simply unbearable, with Christmas tunes blaring from the speakers clashing with a live musician playing a completely different melody. As if that wasn't enough, the noise of fellow shoppers coupled with a blaring alarm created a chaotic symphony that left me with a pounding migraine.

After reaching out to the store to voice our concerns, they simply hung up on us without a care in the world. It's safe to say that I'll be steering clear of this establishment from here on out.
