I must say, I had a truly outstanding experience with the pharmacy service recently. I fell ill on Tuesday night and had to visit Hairmyers for treatment. Although they provided me with a prescription, living alone made it difficult for me to collect it myself. Upon contacting the pharmacy and speaking with Danielle, I explained my situation, and she kindly arranged for my prescription to be collected and the medicine to be delivered to my home. To top it off, Danielle even called me on Wednesday morning to check in on how I was feeling and if I needed anything further. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Danielle for going above and beyond, taking the time out of her busy schedule to care for me. Thank you so much, Danielle. You are truly appreciated. XXXXX

Teresa Peterson (30/06/2025, 00:59):
I rang up yesterday to inquire about why my prescription didn't arrive. They mentioned they had trouble getting my inhaler and the brand might be discontinued. I've been waiting since April 7th, so I asked why they didn't reach out to me. Their excuse was that they didn't have my contact details. They requested that I call my doctor's office to explore an alternative inhaler brand that would work for me. Why didn't they inform my doctor's office that they were out of stock on the inhaler? It's not up to standard, especially considering I have asthma.

Fantastic pharmacy with an outstanding team.
Gerald Reed (27/06/2025, 21:21):
I've been visiting this pharmacy for 35 years now, and the pharmacists and staff have always been friendly and helpful. Even when the shop gets busy, they still take the time to provide advice and guidance to customers in need. I've never encountered any unhelpful or rude staff members here. We all have our off days, even at work. A big thank you to all the staff at Dean in Murray Square, East Kilbride!
Rose Hamilton (27/06/2025, 04:37):
I must say, the service at this pharmacy is rather shocking, and they always seem to be running out of crucial medications. It truly is quite frustrating.
Robert Richardson (25/06/2025, 03:55):
I must say, the service at this pharmacy is absolutely rubbish. They seem completely clueless and are just taking advantage.
Kelly Peterson (22/06/2025, 22:24):
A dreadful little establishment. Its unfortunate proximity to the Murray surgery guarantees a steady stream of returning clientele. Alas, my most recent interaction with the unaccommodating staff has left me with no desire to return. Fortunately, there are plenty of more hospitable pharmacies in the nearby vicinity.
Bobby Watson (19/06/2025, 10:19):
The staff was absolutely fantastic, really understood my situation and got my medication to me on the very same day.
Cynthia Simmons (18/06/2025, 01:59):
Absolutely fabulous service!!!!
Debra Cook (18/06/2025, 01:31):
I must say, I am utterly appalled by the service and staff at this pharmacy. They truly do not deserve a single star, and if there was an option to rate them negatively, I would give them a whopping minus 5 stars. On numerous occasions, myself and other members of my family have been blatantly lied to by the manager, whose attitude is frankly objectionable. It's clear that she is not suited for a customer service role - she is rude, condescending, and has no qualms about lying straight to your face.
We have repeatedly informed them that we cannot use a certain brand of medication, only to be assured that they can provide an alternative. However, this manager, Danielle McTaggart, has resorted to deceitful tactics by providing us with the medication we clearly cannot use. This includes delivering the prescription when we didn't request delivery and claiming that we cannot return the product once it has left the pharmacy. The issue at hand involves fentanyl patches for severe pain, and the brand they were supplying was ineffective as it wouldn't adhere to the skin, thus failing to provide any pain relief. Despite our clear explanations, Danielle continued to provide us with the faulty product.
One incident that particularly stands out is when my mother's prescription was supposedly ready for pick up, but upon arrival, the medication hadn't even been delivered to the pharmacy yet. Instead of addressing the situation herself, Danielle had an employee inform me, which I found highly unprofessional. I had to wait for the delivery, for the staff to unpack it, and for the pharmacist to prepare the prescription, even though I had been informed that it was ready. This was especially frustrating as we were heading off on holiday that day and were in a rush.
The final straw came when my sister went to collect my mother's prescription and once again received the faulty fentanyl patches. She refused to take them and requested the prescription back to have it filled elsewhere. Despite assurances from Ms. McTaggart that the correct patches would be ordered, the situation repeated itself. This pattern of dishonesty and lack of empathy displayed by Ms. McTaggart is concerning, especially considering the vulnerable patients she deals with.
Following this incident, we contacted the doctor for a new prescription, which we had filled without any issues at a different pharmacy in the village. It's clear that Ms. McTaggart's unprofessional behavior and dishonesty are driving customers away. While they may benefit from repeat business due to their proximity to the Murray Surgery, we will not be returning to this pharmacy, especially not under Ms. McTaggart's management. It is crucial for her to understand the gravity of her role and to treat sick and vulnerable individuals with professionalism and honesty.
