Willis Pharmacy: A Mixed Experience in Glasgow

Willis Pharmacy, located in Glasgow, has gained a reputation that is as varied as its service options. While some customers praise the LGBTQ+ friendly atmosphere, others have reported concerning experiences that highlight areas needing improvement.

Transgender Safe Space

One of the potential positives of Willis Pharmacy is its commitment to being a transgender safe space. This is vital for fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals feel welcome. However, recent comments from patrons indicate that there may be inconsistencies in staff training and attitudes that could undermine this commitment.

Service Options and Accessibility

Accessibility is crucial in any pharmacy setting. Willis Pharmacy offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance, making it easier for those with mobility issues to shop in-store. Unfortunately, there have been numerous reports of disability discrimination within the pharmacy, calling into question their dedication to providing a supportive environment for all.

In-Store Shopping and Payments

For those who prefer in-store shopping, Willis Pharmacy provides various payment options, including credit cards and debit cards. The introduction of NFC mobile payments has streamlined the transaction process; however, many customers have reported frustrating waits during busy times, which can detract from the shopping experience.

Quick Visit vs. Long Waits

While many hope for a quick visit to pick up prescriptions, some patrons have expressed dissatisfaction with long wait times—reportedly over an hour on occasion. Comments indicate that operational inefficiencies, such as understaffing and unresponsive phone lines, contribute to these delays.

In-Store Pick-Up and Delivery Services

Willis Pharmacy does offer in-store pick-up and delivery services, which can be incredibly helpful for patients who require medication without the hassle of waiting in line. Positive experiences, such as the kindness shown by staff during deliveries, have been noted, contrasting sharply with negative feedback about customer service.

The Impact of Staff Training

Customer reviews often highlight the need for improved staff training to address issues like slanderous comments, rude behavior, and lack of assistance, especially towards elderly customers. Training could enhance the pharmacy's ability to deliver consistent and friendly service.

Conclusion: Room for Improvement

Willis Pharmacy stands at a crossroads. With a solid foundation of community support and a commitment to being LGBTQ+ friendly, there is much potential for improvement. Enhancing customer service, addressing accessibility concerns, and streamlining operations could transform the pharmacy into a truly welcoming space for all. As it stands, feedback indicates that while there are moments of great service, substantial changes are necessary for the pharmacy to meet the diverse needs of its clientele effectively.

Albert Richardson (27/05/2025, 21:30):
This pharmacy has experienced a significant decline lately, and it's not related to COVID or staff shortages. The female staff member with short hair and glasses is utterly disappointing. Her behavior is consistently rude and dismissive towards everyone, including elderly customers. It's evident that her colleagues feel awkward about her demeanor. She could greatly benefit from learning some manners and improving her overall customer service skills. Many individuals opt for a different pharmacy due to her actions. Quite disgraceful, indeed.
