Accessibility at Queensferry Pharmacy

Queensferry Pharmacy prioritizes accessibility for all customers. The establishment features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that everyone can enter comfortably. This commitment to inclusivity makes it a welcoming space for all individuals, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. The pharmacy proudly identifies as a transgender safe space, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

Service Options Offered

At Queensferry Pharmacy, customers can enjoy a variety of service options tailored to meet their needs. Whether you prefer in-store shopping or require convenient in-store pick-up, there’s something for everyone. The pharmacy supports modern payment methods, accepting both debit cards and credit cards, as well as NFC mobile payments for those who prefer contactless transactions. Additionally, the pharmacy offers a delivery service, catering to those who may have difficulty visiting in person. Feedback from the community praises the promptness of medication handouts, with many expressing gratitude for the improved efficiency since the new ownership took over.

Customer Experience and Quick Visits

A notable feature of Queensferry Pharmacy is its focus on creating a positive customer experience. Many patrons have shared that the service is now quick and friendly, offering a refreshing change from prior management. Customers appreciate the quick visit experience, where prescriptions are often ready within 20 minutes, allowing them to return to their busy lives without long waits. However, the pharmacy has also faced criticism regarding staff interactions. Some reviews indicate instances of rudeness and disrespect from certain employees, which detracts from the overall service experience. Major improvement with the new management, great job!
Samuel Edwards (04/07/2025, 20:16):
I do declare, this pharmacy in Scotland must be the slowest one around. I've never had to wait a good 30 minutes just to be attended to, and then another 40 minutes only to be told that my prescription, which had been sent 10 days prior, still wasn't ready. Can you believe it? I found myself in a queue alongside other folks, including the elderly, and almost everyone had the same experience. The staff seemed completely oblivious to how poor the service was, as they all moved at a snail's pace and seemed to mimic each other's lackadaisical attitude. Although I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews, it became apparent during my time waiting in line that this wasn't just a one-time mishap but a recurring issue, according to what other customers were sharing while we waited.
Harper Patterson (03/07/2025, 11:31):
What a game-changer since the new management took over! It's such a relief to finally have a dependable pharmacy right next to the doctor's office.
Wayne James (30/06/2025, 00:19):
Thank you so much! The pharmacist has been incredibly helpful. It's clear that they are under a lot of pressure, especially considering the size of the population in South Queensferry. It would definitely be beneficial to have a larger pharmacy with more than one pharmacist available.
Amanda Cruz (29/06/2025, 20:42):
Outstanding service, incredibly efficient and speedy. Also extremely helpful.
Jose Brooks (29/06/2025, 19:43):
If I could give it zero stars, I would. I visited at 5:50 on a Monday and was instructed to return in 30 minutes for a prescription (mind you, this was an urgent one). When I returned after 30 minutes, I was denied entry. If they were closing, they should have informed me in advance. I am extremely disappointed by the poor service, and the woman who interacted with me also had her family browsing the shelves during "after hours."
Joseph Lewis (29/06/2025, 17:26):
Under new management with a superb team of friendly staff providing top-notch customer service.
Nathan Rogers (29/06/2025, 04:18):
I would recommend trying the other pharmacy in Rosebery. The head pharmacist at this one is utterly useless, extremely unhelpful, and downright rude!
Nicholas Turner (26/06/2025, 12:11):
Absolutely terrible. Dreadful, really. I placed my prescription order well over a week in advance, only to find it unavailable when I arrived. Just like others have mentioned, there were haphazard signs on the door announcing sudden closures. I ended up wasting around £10 on bus fares before managing to collect my medication. I attempted to call for over two weeks to confirm the availability of my meds and the store's opening hours, but my calls were never answered. I suppose I was fortunate during my previous visit.
Lisa Campbell (24/06/2025, 14:23):
I would strongly advise against going to this pharmacy if you have any other options available. I've visited this pharmacy on several occasions, and each time I witnessed at least one customer leaving in frustration - which speaks volumes.

The service is sluggish - even for simple tasks that should be readily available, they often request you to return the next day, only to find out they still haven't prepared it. Mistakes such as dispensing the wrong medications or misplacing prescriptions are not uncommon occurrences.

The lines are always excessively long - at times extending outside the door. While the staff may attribute this to high demand, the reality is that their lack of efficiency and unhelpfulness towards customers is the main cause.
Peter Sanchez (23/06/2025, 12:03):
I recently had an experience at the pharmacy where the chemist or doctor misplaced my prescription. They eventually had a new one made and sent it over the next morning. However, when I went to collect it after waiting for 4 hours, I was informed that I needed to come back later as they couldn't prepare it on the spot. I would have expected a lost prescription to be prioritized. This has left me disappointed and I will not be returning to them in the future.
David Hernandez (19/06/2025, 08:57):
Outstanding, swift service. Highly professional. I required eye drops for an infection, and the pharmacist attended to me promptly. I felt confident in his expertise.
Doris Taylor (17/06/2025, 01:22):
I must say, this pharmacy is simply the pits! I highly recommend steering clear of it at all costs. The customer service is shockingly poor, with staff displaying rude and slow behavior. I've faced constant issues with obtaining my medications, and their overall lack of accountability towards customers is astounding. It's truly a mystery to me how this place manages to stay in business.
Evelyn Gomez (13/06/2025, 15:00):
If I could give this Pharmacy a rating of zero stars, I would. It must be the absolute worst Pharmacy in the UK when it comes to unhelpful staff and lack of efficiency. Today, I visited to pick up a prescription and was completely ignored while the staff were deep in a personal chat. When I finally managed to get their attention, I was met with clear annoyance. I strongly suggest steering clear of this place if you can.
Eugene Ford (11/06/2025, 01:56):
I got what I needed – a NiQuitin patch.
Terry Edwards (10/06/2025, 15:58):
Informative and efficient... what a total contrast to Lloyds.
Olivia Fisher (09/06/2025, 13:11):
I must say, the service has been truly splendid ever since the transition from Lloyds. It's like night and day! The team is professional, attentive, and always quick to assist.
Ralph Carter (06/06/2025, 18:16):
Lovely service, very knowledgeable and quick! Many thanks!
Pamela Sullivan (06/06/2025, 04:32):
Queensferry Pharmacy has been delivering exceptional service since taking over from Lloyds. The staff is friendly and polite, a significant improvement from the consistently poor service we experienced under Lloyds' management. It is evident that many of the negative reviews here are from the time when Lloyds was in charge.
Grace Thompson (05/06/2025, 03:03):
I popped into the pharmacy with my prescription and mentioned that I couldn't quite recall if I'd frequented their establishment in the past. I was promptly informed that they couldn't assist me without confirming my status as a customer. Subsequently, I sought medical advice at Queensferry practice and was assured that the pharmacy's refusal to accept my prescription was completely unjustified.
