Asda Middleton Park Superstore: An Overview

Asda Middleton Park Superstore, located in Aberdeen, provides a variety of grocery options alongside essential household items. Despite its offerings, customer experiences reveal mixed feelings about the store's maintenance and service.

Service Options for Convenient Shopping

The store offers several service options to enhance the shopping experience, including in-store pick-up, delivery, and no-contact delivery for those who prefer minimal interaction. Customers can conveniently pay using credit cards, debit cards, or NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and secure.

Accessibility and Convenience Features

For shoppers with mobility challenges, Asda Middleton Park features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park. This attention to accessibility ensures that everyone can enjoy a smooth shopping experience.

Product Offerings and Quality Highlights

The store's highlights include a selection of great produce, clothing, and household products. However, some customers have pointed out concerns regarding stock availability, as shelves are often bare and fresh items sometimes lack quality. Reports suggest that some fruits and vegetables may be past their prime, leading to disappointment among regular shoppers.

Recycling and Eco-Friendly Practices

Asda encourages customers to engage in sustainable practices, offering recycling bins throughout the store. This initiative is particularly important given the increasing emphasis on reducing plastic waste, such as the use of glass bottles over traditional plastic options.

Customer Service Experiences

While many customers appreciate the friendly staff, there are notable complaints about poor customer service in certain departments. Instances of unhelpful staff at service counters, particularly in high-pressure situations, have led to frustration among shoppers seeking assistance.

Planning Your Quick Visit

For those wanting a quick visit, it's advisable to consider timing, as busy periods can complicate the shopping process. During peak times, self-checkouts may become clogged, leading to longer wait times and inconveniences—particularly for those uncomfortable with automated systems.

Final Thoughts

Asda Middleton Park Superstore presents a mix of advantages and challenges for shoppers. While it offers a range of great produce and convenient shopping options, consistent issues with stock levels and customer service highlight the need for improvements. As the store continues to serve the community, addressing these concerns will be critical for enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

I won't be becoming a regular visitor to this blog.

I must say, the manager, Mr. Grant, and his team at the Supermarket are absolutely splendid. From the friendly security personnel to everyone else, they are always willing to assist with a cheerful chat and a smile. This is by far my favorite store to visit for our family's weekly groceries and any impromptu shopping needs. They truly deserve a solid 5-star rating.

The staff were not very attentive. We waited for more than 20 minutes for a pizza (at 10:30). A lady emerged from the back, printed a ticket, and left without making our pizza. After finally asking another staff member if we could have a pizza made, we were informed that the kitchen was closed. The toppings were all exposed and uncovered. If the kitchen was closed, how long had the toppings been sitting out for?
Ruth Hernandez (02/09/2025, 23:52):
Absolutely dreadful, hardly anything on the shelves. Looks like I'll have to head back to the beach for some relaxation.
Pamela Ramirez (31/08/2025, 12:47):
Just your average Asda, but their lunch options leave a lot to be desired. I'd suggest heading over to the Subway next door for a better meal.
Raymond Thomas (30/08/2025, 00:29):
The staff were really friendly and the store was spotless. The shelves were properly filled with products.
Charlotte Cruz (28/08/2025, 01:34):
The opening hours for the petrol station are a bit all over the place, mate. It says 24 hours on the sign because you can pay at the pump, but they sometimes shut as early as 6pm on some nights. They should really update their hours if they've changed, it's a right pain when you're low on fuel and they're closed!
Juan Sullivan (27/08/2025, 04:21):
It's a jolly good ASDA, mate, but I'd advise against popping in during lunch hours. The spot is swarming with school kids who pay no mind when you politely say "excuse me," causing a right old traffic jam at the checkouts. Cheers!
Matthew Stewart (26/08/2025, 15:53):
A well-stocked neighborhood supermarket with plenty of parking space.
Alice Bailey (26/08/2025, 12:38):
Lovely selection of fruits and vegetables, top notch!
Shirley Gonzales (26/08/2025, 10:56):
I visited this supermarket today and was quite disappointed. I would highly recommend going to the other Asda store in Aberdeen instead. This store is small and always very crowded. If you're not familiar with the layout, it can be very difficult to navigate and find what you need, especially with other customers who know the store getting in your way. When we went to the checkout, there was a staff member in non-uniform who informed us that the till was closed, but the barrier was still open.
Gerald Butler (22/08/2025, 01:32):
Today, whilst shopping at this establishment, I suddenly felt unwell and had to stop. A kind customer nearby noticed my distress and quickly informed the staff, who swiftly sprang into action to assist me. Both my husband and I are incredibly grateful for the prompt and caring response from the staff and the helpful customer. Thank you all so much for your assistance.
Adam Anderson (21/08/2025, 18:49):
I must say, I was only able to get 4 out of the 9 items I was after at the supermarket. Quite disappointing, if you ask me.
Cheryl Jordan (20/08/2025, 22:40):
Do not forget the carrots, mushrooms, potatoes, pears, and the list goes on!
Michael Morgan (18/08/2025, 11:13):
Bloody awful time at the bloody supermarket, I tell you! That nasty bloke David running the show, and his unhelpful staff - don't get me started. The machines there? They're like bleeding thieves, taking your money and not giving it back. And when you want a refund, they send you to some call centre where they just fob you off. Absolutely maddening, I tell you.
Sara Moore (16/08/2025, 00:37):
The team at the click and collect service are mostly top-notch. However, the store has a habit of constantly rearranging its stock, which can be quite frustrating. When you urgently need an item and head to its usual spot, it's often been relocated. There doesn't seem to be a logical layout to the store at all. Navigating through the store can be challenging when it's crowded due to the full totes blocking the ends of aisles. There is room for improvement here.
Barbara Williams (15/08/2025, 11:08):
I do my shopping here all the time, there's loads of parking space, a great selection of products, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Barbara Roberts (14/08/2025, 10:04):
Open until 10:00 PM only, mate. Cheers!
Jonathan Hayes (13/08/2025, 09:36):
Decent spot for a swift shop, might not have the full monty but covers the essentials for a top-up or quick weekly grocery haul.
Robert Myers (13/08/2025, 03:50):
I don't understand why they don't have carrier bags readily available. The staff are walking around with them on their wrists, and the more expensive ones are kept below the till area. It's just a bag!
