Asda Middleton Park Superstore: An Overview

Asda Middleton Park Superstore, located in Aberdeen, provides a variety of grocery options alongside essential household items. Despite its offerings, customer experiences reveal mixed feelings about the store's maintenance and service.

Service Options for Convenient Shopping

The store offers several service options to enhance the shopping experience, including in-store pick-up, delivery, and no-contact delivery for those who prefer minimal interaction. Customers can conveniently pay using credit cards, debit cards, or NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and secure.

Accessibility and Convenience Features

For shoppers with mobility challenges, Asda Middleton Park features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park. This attention to accessibility ensures that everyone can enjoy a smooth shopping experience.

Product Offerings and Quality Highlights

The store's highlights include a selection of great produce, clothing, and household products. However, some customers have pointed out concerns regarding stock availability, as shelves are often bare and fresh items sometimes lack quality. Reports suggest that some fruits and vegetables may be past their prime, leading to disappointment among regular shoppers.

Recycling and Eco-Friendly Practices

Asda encourages customers to engage in sustainable practices, offering recycling bins throughout the store. This initiative is particularly important given the increasing emphasis on reducing plastic waste, such as the use of glass bottles over traditional plastic options.

Customer Service Experiences

While many customers appreciate the friendly staff, there are notable complaints about poor customer service in certain departments. Instances of unhelpful staff at service counters, particularly in high-pressure situations, have led to frustration among shoppers seeking assistance.

Planning Your Quick Visit

For those wanting a quick visit, it's advisable to consider timing, as busy periods can complicate the shopping process. During peak times, self-checkouts may become clogged, leading to longer wait times and inconveniences—particularly for those uncomfortable with automated systems.

Final Thoughts

Asda Middleton Park Superstore presents a mix of advantages and challenges for shoppers. While it offers a range of great produce and convenient shopping options, consistent issues with stock levels and customer service highlight the need for improvements. As the store continues to serve the community, addressing these concerns will be critical for enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

Absolutely shocking, I must say. This express delivery service is an absolute joke - 95% of the time it's late, can you believe it? And on top of that, they have the nerve to charge you £8.50 for the privilege! I've had previous orders cancelled by Asda without so much as a heads up, leaving me high and dry. I've wasted so much time calling their customer service, it's beyond frustrating. My advice? Steer clear of online shopping with them, mate.
Arthur Flores (20/07/2025, 22:13):
Top-notch customer service and a friendly and supportive team.
Angela Hill (16/07/2025, 14:37):
This supermarket is top notch, but occasionally they don't have exactly what I'm looking for in stock (like my favorite grated mozzarella cheese). However, I've never had any issues with returns - even returned a video game that was causing my console to crash. The customer service here is truly exceptional.
Steven Martin (16/07/2025, 07:19):
Great service, I must say. The folks over at Supermarket really know how to take care of their customers. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and felt right at home. The staff were knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. Definitely will be coming back for all my grocery needs. Cheers!
Keith Morgan (14/07/2025, 22:48):
I absolutely adore this supermarket, much better than Tesco in my opinion, to be honest.
Dennis Myers (11/07/2025, 11:31):
The Asda rewards app is quite handy for helping us save some cash. Nevertheless, we find it rather tricky to navigate the technology. Furthermore, the quality of the food leaves much to be desired as it isn't as fresh as we would like.
Kelly Powell (08/07/2025, 04:40):
I do most of my shopping here. As mentioned before, they often run out of stock on certain items. They have a limited selection of sandwiches. It was disappointing that they didn't have haggis in stock for several days leading up to Burns Night.
Arthur Hamilton (03/07/2025, 14:53):
I say, old chap, one simply cannot get a word in edgewise when encountering an issue at this establishment. No soul deigns to pick up the receiver when one dials the number listed on the receipts, and the chaps over at tellasda.com seem equally mum. My primary bone of contention lies with the pharmacy department - one encounters interminably lengthy queues, why, just today there were 16 persons ahead of me in line! There's nary a spot to bide one's time for the collection of one's prescriptions away from the prying eyes of fellow shoppers; a deficiency in privacy that simply won't do. I've thrown in the towel with this lot - better to take my custom elsewhere, what?
Charles Rogers (01/07/2025, 15:28):
Convenient, but could do with more space and a café. Certain employees appear a bit glum and could use a pick-me-up.
Judy Morris (30/06/2025, 16:43):
Quite a stressful experience during my visit to the supermarket. I reached out to the management team and they didn't seem too concerned, but thankfully they did address my problem. I was denied a refund because the Asda employee didn't fulfill her duties properly. I reported this incident to the management through email. The customer service was severely lacking, with zero skills in that department. My recommendation to those reading this would be to consider shopping at a different Asda location if possible.
Joshua Martinez (30/06/2025, 03:54):
I must say, the behavior of the clerk at the cigarette counter around 6pm today was rather appalling. She seemed uninterested in helping and exuded an air of arrogance. This seems to be a recurring issue whenever I visit the store and encounter this particular individual at the counter, and I've had enough.
Tonight, she informed me that they were out of stock of Heets, which I knew wasn't the case as the drawer was full just 2 days ago. I politely requested for her to check the correct drawer, and lo and behold, it was indeed stocked with Heets. There was no apology for her error, and it seemed like she was somewhat irritated that I had pointed it out.
People like her should not be in customer-facing roles; she certainly isn't doing Asda any favors with her attitude!
Andrew Thompson (28/06/2025, 14:58):
The chap at the cigarette counter wasn't quite helpful, so I can only muster up three stars. Quite a shame, as the rest of the store and the staff were top-notch. Cheers!
Amber Hayes (27/06/2025, 15:48):
This establishment is deteriorating, I must say. I ventured in today to procure some fresh fruit, yet alas, the produce appeared anything but fresh. The grapefruits in particular seemed far past their sell-by date. A most disheartening experience, indeed.
Evelyn Clark (27/06/2025, 00:54):
The shop is a bit on the petite side, which means they might not have as wide a selection of products. However, the staff is incredibly accommodating and pleasant to deal with.
Virginia Gonzales (20/06/2025, 17:29):
Lovely staff, top-notch goods! ;)
Sara Torres (18/06/2025, 17:34):
The staff is always eager to assist. The ladies at the checkout are lovely and always up for a chat.
Jason Green (18/06/2025, 14:01):
The notice has reappeared. We typically visit on certain days to enjoy a pizza night with family every now and then. Regrettably, upon our most recent visit, the sign was back up and, once again, there were no pizzas in stock. It seems like they are short-staffed.

Moreover, the store is quite dilapidated and seems to have received minimal investment in years. The HVAC system above the crisp aisle sounds dreadful, as if it's about to give out.
Evelyn Patterson (16/06/2025, 09:14):
Absolutely dreadful experience at this store, I must say! The staff were quite unfriendly and unhelpful. I would strongly advise giving this supermarket a miss and looking for somewhere else to shop!
Anna Perez (14/06/2025, 04:18):
I had a mishap on Friday while heading to my car for my forgotten purse. I must say, the Asda staff were simply wonderful in their swift assistance. The first aider and other employees gathered my groceries and placed them in the boot. Thankfully, no bones were broken, just some bruising. It's reassuring to know that Asda has well-prepared staff for such situations. A kind member of the public even helped me up and escorted me to the store. Grateful to all involved!
Jack Alexander (13/06/2025, 08:04):
I popped down to the market today for a couple of bits and bobs, and the lady at the checkout didn't seem too keen on having a chat, even when I tried to strike up a conversation. It was a bit odd because normally I pay by card, but today I had some cash on me. I've been a regular customer at this place for years and I've never come across such unfriendly staff before.
