After waiting 30 minutes for my order, the driver delivered the wrong items and left before I could address the issue. I was unable to reach ASDA KITCHEN EDINBURGH by phone and when I tried to request a refund online, I was informed it would take 48 hours for a response. This ruined my lunch plans with a friend and left me out of pocket. Dealing with this error has been stressful and frustrating. I will no longer be using ASDA KITCHEN EDINBURGH or JUST EAT due to this poor experience. It's disappointing that resolving a wrong order has become so complicated. I am currently at home, feeling angry and hungry, with inedible food due to allergies. One star is not even close to accurate, there should be a zero star option available.

I recently visited Asda at Leith, near Fort Kinaird. I ventured into the gentlemen's restroom and was appalled by what I encountered. The cubicles were all in disrepair, with only one having a functional lock, yet it was overflowing with waste. Another cubicle lacked a door altogether. The accessible toilet was not readily available; you had to be escorted by security personnel who unlocked it for you. Why it isn't simply left unlocked is beyond me. This behavior is unacceptable for a leading supermarket. When I brought up my concerns with the staff, they seemed indifferent, only mentioning that the facilities are cleaned regularly. I inquired about the broken locks and missing door, to which the response was a nonchalant "I don't know." What a disappointment. Asda, it's time to step up your game and invest some of your profits into improving the hygiene and maintenance of your facilities.

I popped into the store at around 9:30 pm on a Sunday expecting it to be open all night as advertised, but to my surprise, the security informed me they were closing in half an hour. The others were told they shut at 10 pm. It seems that the store isn't truly operating 24/7. Apparently, this is a common occurrence according to the locals. Despite the ongoing issues with unruly youths, they seem to be closing early even when there's no trouble brewing. I wasn't too pleased with this inconsistency, especially considering my health issues affecting my mobility, which make it challenging for me to rush around and only allows me to go out during brief periods of improved mobility.

Furthermore, I've noticed that their chicken can be a bit suspect, and their minced meat tends to spoil before the supposed expiry date.

The team at the store truly make a compelling case for the adoption of self-checkout services. However, even those assigned to assist when the machines inevitably malfunction are not attentive. They tend to loiter idly, gazing into the void for what seems like an eternity. It is regrettable because the store itself is vast, boasting a wide array of products, and the employees responsible for restocking shelves are typically willing to lend a hand. Regrettably, the frontline staff appear rather grumpy and exhibit a lack of enthusiasm for their roles. It's challenging to fault them considering the challenges of the retail industry, but part of the job is to project a facade of enthusiasm, regardless of personal feelings towards it.

Incredible team, my mate misplaced her car keys and her lad has learning challenges, was getting quite flustered and agitated while we hunted for them. The crew at this establishment were absolutely fantastic, providing assistance with her son and even offering us a cab ride back home and snacks for the youngsters as we looked for the keys. Luckily, we managed to locate them. Big thanks to the staff at Portobello Asda!! ✨✨

The staff is extremely helpful, and I can easily find assistance when needed. Their delivery service is efficient, as is their click and collect option. The store is conveniently located, with several bus routes nearby and even stops right in front of the entrance.

Absolutely shocking the pick-up service at this supermarket. Last week, I waited 25 minutes for my Uber Eats order. Today, it was 45 minutes after being initially told it would only be 5 to 10 minutes. It would be helpful if they could give a more accurate estimate upfront so I can plan my time accordingly, as I am self-employed. If I'm not driving, I'm not earning money. Just a wee tip - we don't get paid to wait around.

It seems that Uber Eats orders are not given priority over click and collect orders. They should consider putting more staff on picking or follow Sainsbury's example of only releasing the order once it is ready to go. They really need to address this issue with their Uber Eats service.

Picked up some pizzas from the pizza counter. The chap behind the counter had tattoos. He was friendly and polite. He even took the time to chat, showing he really cares about his work. A real asset to both himself and the company. I'll definitely be returning.

I say, this ASDA establishment is quite the find! A veritable shopping haven more akin to a grand shopping arcade. The ASDA pizza outlet is simply splendid, offering great value for money. It truly revitalized us after picking up our son following his completion of the Edinburgh half marathon. I wholeheartedly endorse this place.

I recently visited this Asda store in town and I must say, it's one of the brightest, freshest, cleanest ones around. It puts the sad, tired old Chesser location to shame. However, I couldn't help but notice that prices here are a bit higher compared to most supermarkets, except for Waitrose and the nearby M&S. Even the final reductions late in the evening were only a third off, which didn't quite excite me enough to make extra purchases beyond the four pints of milk I needed. While this Asda is an option when necessary, I would be more inclined to shop at other major chains if they weren't so inconveniently far away.

I always reckon it's best to do me shopping early in the mornin' or late at night when there ain't as many people around. I usually don't like to make a fuss, but I felt compelled to share my experience at the pharmacy a few weeks ago. My wife went in to inquire about an inhaler and was met with ridicule from the sarcastic fellow behind the counter! When I confronted him and the pharmacist about their treatment of my wife, a heated argument ensued where the pharmacist displayed abusive and prejudiced behavior towards me (I won't say outright racist). I lodged a formal complaint against both individuals with one of the managers, who said she would investigate the matter. However, I never received any follow-up on the issue. When I went to pick up a prescription yesterday, I was informed that I was banned from the pharmacy! It's astonishing to me how this establishment is operated and how the sarcastic duo in the pharmacy are still employed there. Ban or no ban, I will never step foot in that place again!

Today, I took my severely Autistic son to the supermarket as I usually do. He loves eating ice cream, which I always buy for him during our shopping trips. However, our visit today took a terrible turn when a worker at the store verbally abused me and falsely claimed that my son had attacked eight people within a 20-minute period. My son is only ten years old, and if he was truly that violent, I would have visible marks on me as his primary caregiver. The unjust treatment we received, filled with callousness, abuse, and discrimination towards a helpless child, was both heartbreaking and infuriating. Despite my attempts to defend us, the manager even went as far as calling the police to escort us out.

I am deeply grateful for the support we received from other stores we visited afterwards, including Tesco, BnM, and a Chinese shop, who were understanding and accommodating of my son's challenges. However, the treatment we faced at Asda was unacceptable. I have taken steps to address this issue by contacting the CEO, involving my GP, my son's social worker, and a headteacher. I refuse to spend any more of my money at Asda as a result of this experience. The manager's insistence that the incident was recorded on camera only adds insult to injury; I would like to see the supposed footage of my son attacking eight people. Such racism and discrimination have no place in today's society.

Well, I must say the groceries are fine, but it's the absolute worst place to purchase cigarettes and tobacco. When my girlfriend asked me to pick up some tobacco, the staff there couldn't seem to clarify whether it was for cigarettes or not. Rather than simply showing me the list, they declined to assist in identifying the correct product, leading me to purchase the wrong type—probably something meant for e-cigarettes. As a result, it was a complete waste of money, and I found myself facing withdrawal symptoms.

The store was alright, but let me tell you, the cafe was an entirely different kettle of fish. The food was absolutely dreadful - the fish tasted like it had been sitting there for a month, and the rest of the food wasn't any better. I asked the woman to take it away and told her it was disgusting, but she didn't utter a word in response. It cost £17, and I can assure you, we won't be returning even if it was the only place left on earth. I'll be sure to inform all my friends and family about this experience as well. Giving it one star is being too generous, if you ask me.
