Juan Parker (14/09/2025, 00:47):
Just got back from up north and needed to restock our supplies for the week ahead.

Tesco is always a solid choice for us. The prices are fair, and the quality is consistent. We're familiar with their products and know exactly what we like to pick up.

This particular Tesco in Elgin is a decent size, located in a charming town (make sure to check out the nearby Cathedral). We grabbed essentials like bread, pasta, rice, water, soda, wine, Prosecco, veggies, fruit, steaks, milk, cookies – basically everything on our list and then some. Even topped up our gas tank at the same stop. Talk about convenient.

Another successful Tesco haul, as per usual. We'll definitely be returning.

Impressive supermarket with a wide selection of grocery items.
Wayne James (11/09/2025, 07:05):
I had a rather unpleasant experience at the supermarket recently. I was instructed not to deposit tokens into the charity box, despite the clear instructions to do so. It seems the manager is not very keen on assisting others in need. Quite disappointing, I must say.
Linda Gomez (10/09/2025, 09:58):
Top-notch supermarket experience! The staff were absolutely lovely.

Popped into your supermarket today and was assisted by Connor at the service desk and also Brian who were both so helpful, polite, and friendly. Diane Rhind
Dropped by again on Sunday and was attended to by Jack McGrath who was super friendly, helpful, and polite. Diane Rhind

This store is absolutely dreadful, way too pricey and they have the nerve to charge you for parking after you've already spent a fortune on groceries. A real rip-off if you ask me!
Gloria Cooper (07/09/2025, 09:25):
The staff are not usually top-notch.

The self-service machines seem to have been added as an afterthought and don't always function properly.

Entering/exiting the building can often be congested.

There seems to be a lack of attention to stock rotation and checking expiration dates.

Tall individuals may find that decorations and signs obstruct their path.

The condition of the toilets is typically below par.

The car park is starting to resemble a busy high street.

The fuel station frequently experiences diesel supply issues, and there's a lack of clear signage indicating when a pump is out of service.

There are no facilities for recycling plastic.

Leaks can be observed in the roof.

Double yellow parking by the cash machine can obstruct the flow of traffic, but there seems to be confusion regarding responsibility between the Council and Tesco.

There's a shortage of outdoor seating, particularly for elderly or disabled customers waiting for pick-up, with the existing seating located next to smelly bins.

The exit from the fuel station poses visibility challenges and can be risky when pulling out.

Walking lanes in the car park are inadequate, leading pedestrians to navigate through a crowded area.

Staff seem to struggle with proactive restocking of plastic bags at the self-service area.

The layout forces customers to pass by security terminals, potentially making it difficult for security personnel to monitor screens effectively.

Lastly, there's a complaint about a grumpy perfume-wearing lady who always seems to be in the way.
Riley Roberts (06/09/2025, 00:02):
The shop itself is pretty much on par with what one would expect from a standard Tesco, but the cafe, oh dear, it's an absolute shambles. We had to wait an awfully long time before getting any service. The family behind us in the queue had an even longer wait, despite there not being much of a crowd.

Thankfully, we've dined at several Tesco cafes across the UK over the years and had delightful experiences, or else we'd swear off them entirely. The jacket potato resembled more of a mash, and the kids' fish finger and chip meal arrived sans chips initially. The fish and chips dish had soggy chips and overly greasy fish. Even the scampi, chips, and peas dish left much to be desired.
Sophia King (05/09/2025, 02:40):
I popped down to the loo and picked up some cigars.
Arthur Diaz (03/09/2025, 14:42):
I was quite busy, but managed to find everything I needed. The self-checkout wasn't crowded either.
Rachel Peterson (02/09/2025, 12:45):
Always helpful no matter the hour, cheers to Supermarket for their round-the-clock assistance!
Amelia Harris (01/09/2025, 12:36):
It's your usual Tesco Superstore with no particular character. There's complimentary parking (up to a certain limit) and free WiFi available. The small cafe on the upper floor doesn't quite hit the mark when it comes to serving quality coffee in my humble opinion. However, the store is generally well-stocked, tidy, and clean.
Andrew Sanchez (31/08/2025, 13:54):
Very handy for those items you need in a jiffy, innit?
Bobby Hamilton (29/08/2025, 09:28):
I absolutely adore this Tesco! It's unique in having two stories, which is quite unusual for a supermarket. With the contactless limit now at £100, it's super convenient, especially if you're buying something heavy and don't want to fumble with your card. And let's talk about those Hershey bars – the price is ridiculously cheap at just 75p! I usually pay around £1.50 for them at my local store in Gretna, which feels like a total rip-off in comparison. I stumbled upon this Tesco during a business trip and couldn't resist popping in – it's true what they say, everyone always ends up buying something they don't really need while they're there, haha. I highly recommend stopping by for some delicious and affordable treats when you're passing through!
Vincent Thomas (24/08/2025, 11:46):
I always find the staff to be quite helpful. I am able to find all my household and fresh food items in one convenient location. Thank you.
Evelyn Cox (20/08/2025, 03:54):
Massive congrats to Tracy from the Community support service in Elgin for her fantastic support at St Margaret's Church in Lossiemouth "Chippy Night" fundraising event. It was a blast, and Tracy's aid was top-notch!
Louis Hill (19/08/2025, 11:32):
The staff were not very helpful, that is if you could find them. I wandered around the store for a good 10 minutes searching for someone to assist me in finding what I needed, only to discover as usual that it was out of stock.
James Wright (17/08/2025, 12:06):
This Supermarket has all the essentials for your journey. The spacious parking lot is perfect for camper vans. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Charlotte Myers (14/08/2025, 17:33):
I've had it up to 'ere with these bashed tins, mate. Went to the floor supervisor, but he's not arsed one bit and keeps pointing the finger at the night shift staff. This is the third time I've raised the issue, can you believe it?
Amelia Foster (14/08/2025, 12:32):
I must say, my experience today at this supermarket department was incredibly positive. The staff was exceptionally helpful as always. Many thanks to the lovely team.
Warm regards, Colin Kellas
