Highlights of the Store

This superstore prides itself on offering great produce at competitive prices. Many shoppers enjoy the bakery section and frozen food aisles, despite some complaints regarding freshness at times. The store also allows NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and efficient.

Quick Visits and In-Store Pick-Up

Today, on the 13th of May in the year 2023, I had the pleasure of being assisted by a delightful young chap named Alex at Asda Motherwell. Alex was quite courteous and took the time to help me order two photo birthday cakes. He truly went above and beyond with his service. A big shoutout to Alex for being a credit to Asda Motherwell. Thank you, Alex!

The chaps at the cafe were ever so friendly, I must say. The grub was absolutely scrumptious! I rather fancied the store as well, loads of goodies and a wide assortment to choose from. Cheers!

Supermarket is a fantastic spot where you can conveniently find all the items you need in one go.
Kelly Davis (24/07/2025, 13:00):
Great big tidy store....perfect for picking up various bits and bobs, from groceries to TVs

Last night, I popped into Asda around half past 8, and found out the clothing section was already closed. I urgently needed to pick up some bits for a friend who's in the hospital. Luckily, I had a chat with a helpful colleague named Lauren at the self-checkout area, who kindly let me browse through and grab what I needed. She was an absolute gem and really knew her stuff. Massive thanks to her!

I recently visited this supermarket and I must say, it was quite a mess. The layout seems to change constantly, making it hard to find anything. They keep cramming more products into the store, making it feel claustrophobic, and some items are placed in odd locations - for instance, halfway down the aisle for crisps suddenly turns into an aisle for juices! It's all a bit confusing and disorganized.
Robert Gonzales (19/07/2025, 13:56):
I say, quite a busy spot indeed! The aisles are rather tight, and folk seem to be overlooking the importance of keeping some distance. The selection of Free from products, particularly Gluten Free, leaves much to be desired. Although I must say, Asda's Gluten Free bread is consistently on offer at a far more reasonable price compared to other brands.

I absolutely adore shopping at this place! I've gotten to know many of the staff members, who are incredibly helpful and friendly. Unlike Aldi or Lidl, you can always find exactly what you're looking for here thanks to their fantastic selection of products.
Philip Kim (13/07/2025, 03:51):
This establishment is headed straight for the depths of despair, I must say. The way in which the staff here treat customers is simply beyond belief. I wouldn't bat an eye if this store were to shutter its doors within the next couple of years. It appears that the only route to receiving decent customer service is through good old-fashioned nepotism.
Louis Cook (12/07/2025, 00:58):
I say, let's halt the rearranging of goods! I've recently discovered this gem of a supermarket in Bellshill, which surpasses Tesco in terms of deals and variety, especially when it comes to items for my 11-month-old lad. And can we talk about their pizzas? Absolutely top-notch!
Judith Turner (10/07/2025, 17:57):
They say open 24 hours, so I thought I'd pop in at 1:20 am only to find the doors firmly shut and locked. You can't claim to be open around the clock if you're not actually going to honor that commitment. Come on now, step up your game.
Jerry Perez (10/07/2025, 00:01):
I absolutely adore it, it's a fantastic establishment. Where would we be without Asda being open 24 hours? They are truly a blessing, with such helpful and friendly staff.
Carol Howard (09/07/2025, 18:19):
Standard Asda. Obtain your essentials.
Sarah Young (07/07/2025, 16:10):
Hello there. I must say, after visiting this supermarket, I was quite disappointed with the level of customer service provided. The employees seemed rather lackadaisical and uninterested in assisting customers, almost as if they thought themselves to be above their duties. Their interactions were quite dull and uninspiring, lacking any enthusiasm or warmth. It almost felt like they preferred remaining hidden in the warehouse rather than actively engaging with customers and offering assistance. All in all, my experience left much to be desired, hence the one-star rating.
Larry Rogers (06/07/2025, 12:20):
The staff at the supermarket are always so kind and make sure I can find everything I need. ❤️
Raymond Powell (06/07/2025, 00:38):
Dear Supermarket team,

I visited your store last Wednesday in hopes of entering early as NHS workers, like we had been able to do two weeks prior. However, this time around, I found myself waiting in line from 7:25 AM only to discover that the exclusive access for NHS workers was from 8-9 AM. As a 65-year-old who only goes shopping once a week due to my husband's onset dementia, it is crucial for me to plan my visits accurately.

I kindly request that you provide clear and accurate information regarding entry times for different groups to avoid any confusion or inconvenience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,
[Your Name]

Great spot for picking up groceries conveniently for the locals.

However...
A couple of weeks back, around 9:30 in the morning, I popped into the café for a cup of coffee and a sausage roll. To my surprise, the sausages turned out to be vegetarian Korn links instead of the Lorne sausage I had been craving! They looked and tasted like cheap cigars, incredibly dry. I attempted to eat them with the roll, but quickly gave up in disappointment. Additionally, when I requested a decaf coffee, I received a small packet that I had to mix with water and milk myself. I had envisioned a delicious frothy latte, but it seems they don't offer decaf options in that style. Despite spending over £5, I was too disheartened to ask for a replacement, so I just left. It's a shame, as I've visited a few times before without any issues.
Evelyn Hughes (04/07/2025, 14:41):
The staff are absolutely lovely and so accommodating! The only issue I have is the constant disarray in the store. There are bits of cardboard scattered all over the floor that can be quite hazardous, especially considering my mum's disability. It's a concern that she might accidentally slip on something.
Justin Johnson (03/07/2025, 10:46):
Fantastic store, has just about everything you need in a grocery store. The majority of the staff are friendly and ready to assist.
Douglas Lopez (02/07/2025, 20:09):
A massive thank you to Louise and the team for assisting me when I accidentally cut myself on a glass vase at the store today. They were all so kind and helpful.
