I must say, I find meself a bit puzzled with the whole situation. The website clearly states that Asda in Perth closes up shop at 12, except on Saturdays when it's 10. On a few occasions, I've popped in around 11:20 or 11:30 just to grab a quick snack after a day's work, only to be greeted by a staff member informing me they're about to lock the doors or hearing an announcement on the tannoy saying they're closing up and asking customers to make their way to the checkout. It would make sense if folks were coming in with full trolleys for a big shop, but the people I see there are just like meself, popping in for a quick snack. I can't quite fathom why there's a set closing time if they're planning to shut up half an hour earlier than what's advertised on the door and website.

I usually adore Asda, but this particular store is an absolute shambles. A mere week after a bit of rain (Rain in Scotland! Can you believe it?) caused some problems, many services are still down. Shelves bare, aisles blocked off, self-scan machines out of order, only 4 tills operating, and impolite staff, just to mention a few. Even though I live close to Asda, I will be patronizing Morrisons from now on.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at Asda Perth this morning. We had 2 trolleys full of shopping and had to use a self-service till as there were no manned tills open at 7:15 am on Christmas Eve. The girl managing the self-service tills was really overwhelmed with a long line of trolleys waiting. It seemed like one of the 2 managers could have stepped in to open a till instead of just standing around. Not great organization from Asda, if you ask me.

Just went shopping with my severely disabled brother, like I do every month, and got a fine for not having a blue badge in a disabled space. Asda doesn't offer any other options for disabled customers, so he's clearly being discriminated against by their parking policies. The staff showed no care at all and just passed the issue on to some management company called 'Smart' Parking - smart is definitely not the word I'd use for them! I refuse to pay this fine and will do whatever it takes to make Asda in Perth fulfill their responsibilities.
But what about next month's shopping trip? Where can we park now? I checked with Tesco in Perth and they don't have any restrictions, thankfully.
