If I could give a zero, I would. I rang up yesterday very upset, seeking assistance. The receptionist was incredibly dismissive, impolite, and overall uninterested, even though I was in tears. She advised me to go to the A&E. However, upon reviewing the website, I discovered a section with phone numbers for seeking help. My issue pertained to mental health. Why the receptionist couldn't simply direct me to that resource, I am unsure. I understand it's a hectic period, but as a receptionist, you serve as the initial point of contact for individuals who are suffering, vulnerable, and at times distressed. If you lack the fundamental abilities of manners, basic decency, and empathy, why work as a receptionist if you cannot handle it due to it being a BUSY DAY.

The doctors at this surgery are absolutely abysmal. It's nearly impossible to secure an appointment with them. They expect you to ring them at 8 in the morning for a telephone consultation, which could happen at any point throughout the day. The problem is that it takes between 50-100 attempts to actually get through to them (and that's if you're lucky). Twice now they've attempted to diagnose me over the phone, and the medications they've prescribed have been completely ineffective. When I tried to request an in-person appointment today, I was told it wasn't possible without a prior phone consultation. I simply can't waste my time on this foolishness; they're already aware of my issue. If you're in the market for a new doctor's office, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this one. I'm currently looking into transferring to a different practice. If there was an option for zero stars, I would have chosen that!

The staff is always there to lend a hand, offer guidance, and provide support. My midwife was truly lovely, as were the reception ladies. The GPs I've seen so far have shown genuine concern for my well-being and have worked tirelessly to address my issues. My health visitor is an incredibly warm individual. Absolutely shocking experience at this hospital! The doctors were incredibly rude, the staff lied about my ear issue, and they couldn't even diagnose a simple skin infection. Two private GPs were able to identify the problem just from a picture I sent them! During a blood test, the phlebotomist, a very overweight woman, failed to take my blood properly, leaving me with a massive bruise that's still there a week and a half later. It took her two attempts to find the vein, and she didn't listen to my concerns about needles. The doctors here are the worst in West Lothian by a long shot. Avoid this place at all costs! The cleanliness is questionable too, despite having a blue light to deter drug use. Stay away from this chaotic and inefficient practice.

It used to be great, but now it's nearly impossible to schedule an appointment. The phone line is always busy, and they won't book appointments beyond the current day, making it impossible to schedule non-urgent visits in advance. When you do manage to get through, the response is consistently "no appointments available, call again tomorrow or come in as an emergency." It took me 23 attempts to reach them last time I called.

It's a pity because the staff is genuinely kind and very apologetic; it's clear they face a lot of frustration from patients even though it's not their fault. There definitely needs to be some sort of overhaul in management.

I've been with this practice for 18 years, and although there have been some issues in the past with scheduling appointments, overall it's been a great experience. The staff here does an amazing job, working under significant pressure while remaining professional. The reception staff often receive unwarranted blame, but they are just doing their job. This is a fantastic practice, and I truly miss Dr. Paris - he was an excellent GP, as are the other doctors who will be sorely missed when they eventually leave!

I can't believe how amazing this hospital is. You always hear people complaining about the healthcare system, but my personal experience has been outstanding. The attention is always prompt and courteous, with immediate referrals when needed. I had two recent experiences that really stood out to me.

The first time, I called on a Friday morning about a small but potentially urgent issue. I was seen by a practice nurse within two hours and promptly referred to a consultant. I saw the consultant just 8 days after the referral, and after a small procedure over the weekend, my issue was successfully resolved in just 15 days, including weekends.

The second time, I had been suffering from severe headaches for a month or two. I called the surgery, was triaged by a practice nurse, and got to see Dr. Wilson just three hours later. Dr. Wilson conducted a thorough examination and arranged other tests, going above and beyond. He even called me a few days later with interim results to reassure me. The service I received was top-notch - always prompt, professional, and incredibly efficient.

The service provided by all the staff is always top-notch. Vivian at the reception and Pauline, the nurse practitioner, are particularly helpful. They always make an effort to accommodate appointments, especially when it's for children. I would rate their service a perfect 10 out of 10 every time.

I would give it one star at best! This GP surgery is the absolute worst, the appointment system is a complete disaster. I had to call 324 times last week before finally managing to get through in the queue, and even then, I was 12th in line. Some doctors seem completely uninterested in helping you or your child when you're sick, they can be rude, sarcastic, passive-aggressive, condescending, patronizing, and they generally just try to push you away. My prescriptions are messed up on a monthly basis, so if you're thinking about joining this practice, be prepared for a lot of hassle and endless phone calls.

I must say that every member of the staff at the hospital has been incredibly helpful. From the lovely ladies at the reception desk to the nurses and Alan the paramedic who come to my elderly mother's home for blood work, everyone has been truly amazing. The doctors have always listened to my concerns and have acted promptly in my mother's best interests. I would rate them a 10 out of 10 without a doubt.

The staff is completely useless. When you ring up to make an appointment, they insist on hearing your entire life history before they even consider granting you one. The doctors aren't much better. During my last visit, the GP simply told me to schedule another appointment if I want treatment. Regrettably, I can only give this hospital 0 stars!!!!
