One of the critical aspects for customers visiting Dickson Chemist is the payment flexibility. The pharmacy offers various payment options, including credit cards and potentially NFC mobile payments. However, some reviews mention that the absence of a card machine can hinder the shopping experience, suggesting a need for improvement in this area to enhance customer satisfaction.

Customer Service Experience

Customer experiences at Dickson Chemist vary widely. While some patrons have praised the kind, compassionate, and supportive service from staff who go above and beyond to accommodate individual needs, others report dissatisfaction with the level of attentiveness and professionalism. The pharmacy has received accolades for its ability to handle fragile customers, particularly those dealing with chronic health issues, emphasizing the importance of understanding and patience in customer interactions.

Service Options and Planning

The pharmacy’s service options include on-call assistance for minor ailments, which can be beneficial for customers seeking quick consultations. The staff at Dicksons are always so helpful and willing to go the extra mile to assist customers. In fact, each of the women who work here always goes above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

I had a truly dreadful experience at the pharmacy yesterday. I went to collect a prescription that I had dropped off the day before, but it seemed to have been lost in the shuffle. After waiting for what felt like an eternity behind about 40 other customers, I was finally asked what I was waiting for. It was clear that they had completely forgotten about me. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude and ignorant, barely even acknowledging my presence. It was a frustrating and disheartening visit, to say the least.
Roger Rogers (20/06/2025, 20:06):
I recently visited the pharmacy to collect my medication and had a conversation with the pharmacist, during which I felt I was treated disrespectfully. I have been on a repeat prescription for my medication, but it wasn't available when I requested it. I was initially informed that my prescription was at the doctor's surgery, but upon checking with them, I was told it was at the pharmacy. This situation was unacceptable as I rely on this medication for my mental health. After further investigation by the pharmacist, my prescription was eventually located, and I was given a six-month supply of fluoxetine, which was unusual as I typically receive a three-month supply. While waiting, I overheard how Louise Hay spoke to other customers and found it to be disgraceful. I intend to collect my prescriptions one more time before seeking services from another pharmacy. This experience was a total disgrace.

Oh my goodness, what a complete farce this establishment is. I found myself in the rather comical situation of being the only customer at the counter, yet somehow managing to be completely overlooked by the four members of staff who were engrossed in their own little chat. After finally handing over my prescription, I was then left twiddling my thumbs for a full 20 minutes, all for a simple course of antibiotics. To add insult to injury, this shambolic excuse for a pharmacy then had the audacity to inform me that they only had half of my prescription in stock, a blunder which apparently happens frequently. It turns out they had pulled the same stunt on a friend of mine just 40 minutes earlier. Distributing incomplete prescriptions seems to be their modus operandi.

Warm, understanding, and helpful

I visited this pharmacy feeling quite upset after a negative experience at another local pharmacy. I required to collect pain medication as per the hospital's prescription. Despite encountering an issue, they attentively listened to me with warmth and empathy, contacted the hospital to address the problem, and, acknowledging my distress, provided guidance on how to properly administer the medication. Their kindness and support meant a lot to me. I will certainly be making this pharmacy my primary choice.
Edward Cox (16/06/2025, 17:28):
Too busy nattering away with her mates about sprucing up their homes to even give me the time of day. Grabbed my prescription and when I returned to the counter a few minutes later, she had the nerve to ask if I needed assistance. After pointing out that she had already helped me but was too engrossed in gossip with her coworkers, she just smirked at one of them. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I'll steer clear of this joint from now on.
Timothy Johnson (09/06/2025, 09:52):
I must say, the service provided at this pharmacy was rather lackluster and unsatisfactory.
Susan Brooks (09/06/2025, 05:00):
Absolutely brilliant pharmacy with a top-notch team of friendly professionals who are always so helpful. Highly recommend!
Rachel Kelly (07/06/2025, 23:20):
Honestly, the service is a complete joke. I've tried calling 28 times and still haven't been able to speak to a single person. It's laughable.
Joseph Evans (06/06/2025, 19:40):
The staff at this establishment are discreet, polite, and welcoming. In addition, they have a pharmacist on standby to assist with minor health concerns.
Andrea Gutierrez (06/06/2025, 19:37):
They deliberately disregard clients when they are not in the mood to assist. No credit card terminal available.
Linda King (04/06/2025, 02:27):
The staff at this pharmacy is absolutely fantastic - so friendly and helpful!
Kevin Gonzales (27/05/2025, 11:28):
Honestly, this pharmacy is quite disappointing. The staff always seem to be dawdling instead of focusing on their duties. Even though it's automated, it still takes a good 20 minutes to collect a simple prescription.
