Exploring Asda St Leonards Superstore in Dunfermline

Asda St Leonards Superstore, located in Dunfermline, presents a unique shopping experience that appeals to both locals and visitors alike. However, recent feedback from shoppers has highlighted several aspects that merit discussion.

Service Options and Accessibility

One of the notable features of Asda St Leonards is its emphasis on accessibility. The store boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, making it easier for individuals with mobility challenges to shop comfortably. Despite this, some customers have expressed frustrations regarding the efficiency of service options available, especially during peak hours. Long wait times at the self-service tills and limited staff members during busy periods have led to a stressful shopping environment. Shoppers have noted the need for additional open tills, particularly in the evenings when demand is high.

NFC Mobile Payments and Payment Methods

In today's digital age, NFC mobile payments have become increasingly popular. Unfortunately, users have reported difficulties with mobile payment systems at Asda, leading to inconvenience during their shopping experience. While the store accepts various payment methods, including credit cards and debit cards, ensuring smooth transactions remains a challenge for many customers.

Store Highlights: Products and Cleanliness

Asda is known for its wide range of products; however, recent reviews indicate mixed experiences concerning stock availability. Customers have found themselves faced with low stock levels and items being out of stock for extended periods. This issue is compounded by concerns about cleanliness, with reports of filthy freezers and cluttered aisles due to crates blocking pathways. Despite these issues, shoppers have praised the quality of certain items—particularly the great produce when available. Some patrons appreciate the store's selection of products, including glass bottles and metal cans, essential for those who prioritize recycling in their shopping habits.

Delivery and In-Store Pick-Up Services

For those who prefer shopping from the comfort of their homes, Asda offers no-contact delivery and an in-store pick-up option. While these services can be convenient, past experiences reveal inconsistencies in fulfillment, with some customers reporting late or incomplete deliveries. Such issues can severely impact customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Final Thoughts

Asda St Leonards Superstore stands as a prominent shopping destination in Dunfermline, offering a mix of convenience and variety. However, ongoing critiques related to service efficiency, cleanliness, and stock availability highlight areas for improvement. As the supermarket navigates these challenges, focusing on enhancing customer experience through better organization and staffing could elevate its reputation. For both quick visits and more extensive shopping trips, a thoughtful approach to planning and customer service will be crucial for Asda's continued success in the community.

I say, Gill from the pizza counter ought not to be working in a customer-facing setting. The cheek of arguing and giving customers attitude over a single pizza is simply ludicrous. And then to top it off by insulting customers in front of the duty manager? Quite unprofessional, if you ask me. It's evident that Gill has no regard for customer service or the consequences of their actions.
Amelia Price (20/06/2025, 05:28):
Avoid going when the schools are on lunch break, as there are usually hundreds of kids running around and it can be quite chaotic.
Emma Reyes (16/06/2025, 05:37):
I frequent this supermarket quite often as it's conveniently located near my place. They've got a great variety of products and from my personal experience, the staff and security are always very friendly and polite.
Madison Lopez (16/06/2025, 04:31):
The staff here are always so friendly and helpful. My wife or I come in most days, and it doesn't matter who helps us, we always end up having a good laugh.
Deborah King (15/06/2025, 18:49):
This store is rubbish, the staff are so unfriendly.
Elizabeth Scott (13/06/2025, 20:14):
I had the pleasure of being assisted by the lovely Eilidh, who helped me choose a delicious whisky to gift (myself!). The staff were just superb.
Ella Ross (10/06/2025, 04:38):
Absolutely absurd! I ended up waiting a good 15 minutes just to get my hands on a cooked chicken. Unbelievable!
Paul Martinez (08/06/2025, 13:02):
Plenty of parking available at the supermarket.
The store tends to get quite crowded and feels cramped.
There are a lot of staff members leaving their warehouse trolleys in the middle of the aisle, making it difficult for customers to access the shelves easily.
Long lines at the checkout.
The security guard has a scruffy appearance and a terrible attitude. If I were the store manager, I would advise him to tidy up his appearance or find employment elsewhere.
Lauren Taylor (07/06/2025, 17:45):
This shop is a bit of a mess. They don't have enough staff on hand, and some of the cashiers can be really unpleasant. I once had a cashier give me a 30-second ultimatum to pay and bluntly shut down a question by saying, "I know what I have." Another time, I waited 10 minutes at a self-service machine for an approval without any acknowledgment of the delay. It's surprising that this place has good reviews on Google. Finding stuff in the store is also harder compared to other supermarkets.

Here's a tip for the management: Take a survey of how customers feel about the service. Train staff who are grumpy or passive-aggressive towards customers.
Scott Gutierrez (07/06/2025, 07:26):
I popped into this super cool supermarket during my visit from the States and absolutely loved it! The variety of products was fantastic and the atmosphere was just perfect. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town!
Joyce Roberts (04/06/2025, 18:14):
Superb for all your large or petite family shopping needs. One thing to mention is that the quantity of manned checkouts has been reduced to three or four. The remainder have been substituted with pre-scanned checkouts.
Jordan Diaz (02/06/2025, 11:01):
This Supermarket offers a wide range of products and ample parking space.
James Watson (02/06/2025, 06:13):
I must say, this local supermarket is absolutely brilliant! They have a fantastic selection of items, and the staff are just delightful and ever so polite.
Jeffrey Morgan (01/06/2025, 22:54):
I was tryin' to purchase a monster, ya know, and was waitin' for someone to let me pay for it, but this older woman with short blonde hair looked at me three times and just ignored me. She stood at the counter and walked past me to assist other customers, but didn't even bother helpin' me out. I had to go up and ask, but she just walked right past me.
