Morrisons Supermarket in Inverurie: A Review

Morrisons, located in Inverurie, has seen significant improvements over the past few months. This supermarket may not be large, but it is well-maintained and stocked with a decent selection of products, making it worth a quick visit.

Accessibility and Amenities

The supermarket features wheelchair-accessible entrances and a wheelchair-accessible toilet, ensuring that everyone can navigate the store comfortably. Additionally, there is a free parking lot, which is rarely crowded, making it easy to find a spot when you need to pop in for groceries.

Shopping Experience

Customers appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the store. The toilets are kept clean, and the store layout makes it easy to locate items. With friendly staff available to assist shoppers, many feel welcomed and supported during their shopping trips. Morrisons offers several service options, including in-store pick-up and various payment methods, such as credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments for convenience. For those who prefer no-contact delivery, Morrisons provides an option to order items via apps like Uber Eats, although some have reported issues with delivery reliability.

Food Offerings and Café

One of the highlights of Morrisons is its selection of great produce. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and quality meats are consistently praised by customers. However, some feedback has pointed out that while the overall food offerings are impressive, the in-store café could use improvement. Mixed reviews on the café experience indicate that while some enjoy the meals offered, others have faced delays and issues with food preparation. In particular, the café's service has received attention for both its positives and negatives. Staff members are often noted for their kindness and willingness to help, yet there seem to be staffing shortages at peak times, leading to slower service.

Community and Inclusivity

Morrisons in Inverurie takes pride in being LGBTQ+ friendly and creating a transgender safe space. This commitment is highlighted through their friendly staff and efforts to make everyone feel welcomed. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding staff attitudes, noting inconsistencies in hospitality during busy periods.

Recycling and Sustainability

For environmentally conscious shoppers, Morrisons provides facilities for recycling glass bottles, contributing to sustainable practices within the community. They also offer initiatives like wonky bags of vegetables, providing affordable options while reducing food waste.

Conclusion

Overall, Morrisons in Inverurie stands out for its accessibility, diverse offerings, and a strong commitment to customer service. While there are areas for improvement, especially regarding the café and staffing during peak hours, the supermarket remains a valuable asset to the community. Whether you're looking for fresh produce, a quick meal, or simply a place to do your grocery shopping, Morrisons offers a reliable and friendly environment to meet your needs.

Absolutely chuffed with this little café, usually spot on with their service. But blimey, had a bit of a hiccup the other day - popped in on Wednesday and got a tenner in change, only to be told today that they don't accept paper £10 notes. Bit baffling really, ain't it? Just left scratching me noggin' over 'ow it's alright to dish 'em out as change but not take 'em back again.

Stopped by the cafe for a bite on my way from Aberdeen to Inverness, won't be returning, food was decent but the condition of the place was dreadful. Toilets were not in service, only one disabled toilet working and it was filthy with no hand soap or toilet paper. When I raised the issue with the staff, they just brushed it off saying hygiene would deal with it eventually.

Charming supermarket, just beyond the town by the bypass. Ample free parking with no time limits or constraints. The breakfast they serve is quite delightful, I must say.
Terry Morgan (26/06/2025, 06:31):
A store of a decent size with a good range of products. The toilets are clean and well-maintained. However, the signage could be improved as the bathrooms are located in the cafe section and the sign is not very visible.

Update Sept. 2022
Oh, absolutely splendid to behold a lovely floral homage to Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II adorning the store's entrance.

Morrison's always delivers great value, but alas, this store tends to be quite congested, due in part to its rather narrow aisles.
Alan Morales (24/06/2025, 02:26):
This store may not be one of the big ones, but it has all the essentials and a great quality butcher. I do wish they had a bit more variety in the fishmongers though. Our family is quite the regular here, and we always find what we need.
Steven Price (22/06/2025, 04:59):
I quite enjoy shopping at this establishment; the layout is quite practical and the prices are rather competitive.
Cheryl Rogers (20/06/2025, 20:22):
This supermarket is absolutely brilliant, they have a vast selection of products although some may be a bit pricey, but hey, quality comes at a cost, right? The staff is super friendly and really helpful. The store is always spotless and the shelves are always fully stocked with goods. Just love shopping here!
Gerald Campbell (20/06/2025, 18:23):
One of me favorite supermarkets, mate. Top-notch for fresh meat, I must say. The one in Inverurie even 'as a wee cafe, quite handy, that is.
Charles Collins (19/06/2025, 17:13):
I absolutely love shopping at Morrisons for their extensive selection of products and fantastic deals. The only downside is that I have to travel more than 30 miles to get to my nearest store.
Alice Murphy (19/06/2025, 05:50):
I must say, I've been quite disappointed with this supermarket recently. I seem to have lost a significant amount of loyalty points without any prior notice. Additionally, I've noticed that they advertise Calor gas for sale, but it's never in stock. And to top it off, they refuse to refund my deposit for a gas bottle unless I provide a receipt from a whole decade ago. Quite frustrating, to say the least!
Anthony Scott (18/06/2025, 08:03):
Loads of fresh groceries, a piece of cake parking, and staff that are as friendly as can be!
Thomas Jackson (15/06/2025, 19:41):
This supermarket is absolutely brilliant for all your shopping necessities. They have a splendid variety of products, plentiful parking, and top-notch customer service. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating.
Leonard Cruz (14/06/2025, 00:03):
Supermarket of the highest caliber, boasting top-notch produce and a splendid selection of vegetables. The meat counter at the entrance is a true gem, and the cozy cafe nestled inside is a delightful bonus. Facilities such as toilets can be found near the front of the shop, just beyond the cafe. And let's not forget to mention the delectable sandwiches that are sure to satisfy your cravings. I even made this my go-to pit stop for exploring local geocaches.
Larry Scott (10/06/2025, 22:00):
I must say, this Morrisons café experience was quite disappointing, indeed. The lack of organization was evident, resulting in a painfully slow service even for simple orders like pre-prepared chips and two crumpets! Can you believe it took a whopping 20 minutes, with staff members appearing rather inattentive to top it off? Quite a letdown, really.
Barbara White (10/06/2025, 21:23):
Awesome supermarket with amazing staff, an absolute delight to do my shopping there.
