Morrisons Supermarket in Peterhead: A Comprehensive Overview

Morrisons Supermarket located in Peterhead offers a wide range of amenities and offerings to cater to the diverse needs of its customers. From fresh produce to clothing selections, this store aims to be a one-stop shop for all your shopping requirements.

Accessibility and Service Options

Accessibility is a key aspect, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park available for those needing assistance. Additionally, they provide wheelchair-accessible toilets, ensuring that all customers feel comfortable during their visit. The supermarket also promotes a transgender safe space, advocating inclusivity within the community.

Shopping Experience and Customer Feedback

The shopping experience can vary significantly at Morrisons. While some customers appreciate the great produce and a diverse selection of foods, others have expressed disappointment, particularly with home delivery services. Comments such as "Home delivery foods becoming a disgrace" highlight the need for improved quality control, especially regarding rotten vegetables. Customers mention the difficulty in inspecting produce upon delivery, leading to concerns about trust in the service.

Payment Methods

Payments at Morrisons are convenient, accepting both credit cards and debit cards. They also offer NFC mobile payments, facilitating quick transactions for those on the go. Many customers value the option of in-store pick-up, adding to the flexibility of their shopping experience.

Dining Options and Cafeteria Review

The onsite café provides various meal options, though experiences vary. Some reviews praise the quality and pricing of the meals, while others express dissatisfaction with food quality and service delays. One patron noted, "The café serves one of the worst quality 'big Scottish breakfasts' I have ever experienced." Despite these criticisms, many customers appreciate having a place to grab a quick bite during their shopping trips.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling Facilities

Morrisons promotes sustainability with recycling facilities for glass bottles and a focus on reducing plastic waste. However, customers have suggested improvements, including better management of plastic packaging around fruits and vegetables to avoid spoilage.

Highlights and Areas for Improvement

Some highlights of the Morrisons experience include:

  • Diverse range of products, including international foods
  • Friendly staff willing to assist customers
  • Availability of batteries and household essentials

Nonetheless, there are areas requiring attention, particularly:

  • Car park condition, which has been described as an "assault course" by dissatisfied shoppers
  • Staff behavior, with reports of rudeness affecting customer experiences
  • Management of the café area and food quality inconsistency

Conclusion

Overall, while Morrisons in Peterhead presents numerous benefits, including a friendly atmosphere and a broad selection of products, customer feedback highlights critical areas needing improvement. I popped into the supermarket and spotted a tempting offer, although I wasn't keen on the ham sandwich included. The lady at the counter kindly went above and beyond to arrange for a custom-made option. The deal was fantastic, as it even came with a complimentary drink! I was truly impressed by the value for money. The lady provided excellent service.

Absolutely revolting that this establishment has had no door on the stall in the men's restroom for months. To make matters worse, the staff are hesitant to provide you with the universal access key and simply direct you to the men's room. Do they expect us to do our business in a wide open stall? Absolutely not.

I quite fancy this Morrisons, it's spacious and tidy, with ample hand sanitizing stations and masks available at the entrance without any hassle. The staff and security are helpful, patient, and rather pleasant. Although they do appear to be everywhere and very observant, which is fine if someone is up to mischief, for genuine shoppers, it's not ideal to feel constantly trailed. It can be a tad unsettling at times, but not to the point of deterring me from visiting.

I seem to be having constant trouble finding everything I need, especially in the frozen aisles... Missing out on my Mcain microwave chips and Aunt Bessie's mash, among others. Seems like there's too many Morrison's own brands taking over and limiting the variety! And now, even my beloved Old Jamaica ginger beer is placed on a high shelf with no help in sight to reach them down... It's become a health and safety hazard as I've had close calls with big bottles almost falling on me from up there. Looks like I'll have to make a trip to Asda to pick up what I can't find at Morrison's. Quite disappointed with Morrison's this year, must say.
Ava Henderson (01/09/2025, 11:33):
The store is alright, but there's not a lot of options for vegetarian birthday cakes, actually there's only one 😕...

A year has passed and the condition of the car park has deteriorated significantly. I've made the decision to refrain from shopping here until the car park is repaired as it poses a risk to damaging your tires or alloys.

It is disappointing that a company as large as Morrisons, with an annual turnover of £18.4 billion last year, cannot prioritize the well-being of its customers.

While I love this store, the alarming risks faced in the car park on a daily basis are concerning. The issue has persisted for months without any action being taken.

One would think that a company of Morrisons' stature would be keen on ensuring that their customers don't encounter an obstacle course every time they visit. The situation worsens during rainy weather as the car park floods, obscuring the potholes.

In a previous review, the supermarket was praised for its good selection of fresh produce, bakery items, and a variety of world foods. The presence of a garden center offering quality plants at competitive prices was also highlighted as a positive aspect.

I was standing at one of the tills today, and perhaps it was my own fault since I usually try to avoid her, but it seemed this girl should not be working on the checkout. As she scanned my groceries, she began telling me about all her troubles, stopping to scratch her flaky skin and even showing me her asthma pump which was right in front of her.
I believe everyone faces challenges, but I was close to mentioning something to her. However, I did not want to embarrass her in front of others. Perhaps I could have had a quiet word with her instead.
Dorothy Brown (24/08/2025, 05:20):
Currently boasting the finest selection among all the nearby major supermarkets. Impressive assortment of free-from products. The store boasts a vibrant ambiance with complimentary trolleys, suitable even for the little ones. The only drawback is the absence of home delivery service; otherwise, this would be my go-to shopping destination.
Jason Sanchez (22/08/2025, 03:58):
Quite handy to have separate lines for baskets and carts at the supermarket. Not entirely sure of the purpose, but the process is usually swift so I can't complain. It's a shame that many folks still resist covering their mouths and noses, though.
Isabella Henderson (21/08/2025, 04:56):
Decent spot, but lacking in the fruit and fresh herbs department. Not much to choose from when it comes to meat, and what they do have doesn't look too fresh. Limited options for flowers, and the bouquets they do offer are on the pricey side, designed by professionals.
Russell Stewart (20/08/2025, 14:36):
The quality of the food is quite good, I must say. The service is decent, but it always seems like they are understaffed.
Mia Hamilton (20/08/2025, 13:25):
What a splendidly tidy store! The assortment of food is quite impressive. However, one can't help but notice that prices seem to be on the rise due to inflation, which has led me to visiting the store less frequently. Nonetheless, it remains a top-notch supermarket in my book. 👍
Linda Harris (19/08/2025, 11:33):
Morrisons is top-notch, mate. The location is brilliant, parking is a breeze, and they always have a cracking selection of cat food and craft beer. Plus, you can't beat the value for money.
Jerry Patterson (09/08/2025, 20:36):
This place ought to be demolished. Presto should be reinstated in the town center, adjacent to our brand new Band Stand, which is still under construction. Let's revitalize Phd.
Carolyn Harris (09/08/2025, 09:03):
The interior is lovely and spotless, the staff is so friendly, and the food is top-notch quality at prices that won't break the bank. I'd definitely come back again!
Roy Roberts (08/08/2025, 10:05):
The only shop I know where you pick up a wee carton of juice and a packet of crisps, then head to the counter and they reckon you should cough up for a whole kiddies' lunch box at the full price, even when everything's got its own tag. If we’d ken they were planning to skive us, we’d have grabbed them from the big store instead for the wee one to munch on while we enjoyed our cuppa.
Christian Myers (08/08/2025, 07:17):
I must say, this smaller Morrisons is quite well-stocked, with plenty of parking and a staffed garage. The range of fresh produce is impressive, and their own-brand products are competitively priced, giving Aldi and Lidl a run for their money – often even cheaper. The staff are helpful, access is convenient, and the café is definitely worth a visit. The food is tasty, and the staff are meticulous with cleaning, especially now, ensuring every inch of every table is spotless for everyone's safety. A job well done indeed.
Noah Robinson (08/08/2025, 01:00):
Great supermarket with a wide variety of choices. The staff was incredibly helpful during our last visit. The store was also very clean and well-maintained.
Julie Kim (07/08/2025, 15:19):
I absolutely adore popping down to Morrisons for my big shop - always manage to tick everything off my list, and the staff are just so jolly and helpful. Can't help but notice though, my grocery bill has been creeping up steadily since June, especially the cost of beef.
Shirley Wright (06/08/2025, 10:08):
The cafe offers fantastic value, especially for those with little ones. However, there are occasions when the food's quality and service fall short.
