Morrisons Supermarket in Peterhead: A Comprehensive Overview

Morrisons Supermarket located in Peterhead offers a wide range of amenities and offerings to cater to the diverse needs of its customers. From fresh produce to clothing selections, this store aims to be a one-stop shop for all your shopping requirements.

Accessibility and Service Options

Accessibility is a key aspect, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park available for those needing assistance. Additionally, they provide wheelchair-accessible toilets, ensuring that all customers feel comfortable during their visit. The supermarket also promotes a transgender safe space, advocating inclusivity within the community.

Shopping Experience and Customer Feedback

The shopping experience can vary significantly at Morrisons. While some customers appreciate the great produce and a diverse selection of foods, others have expressed disappointment, particularly with home delivery services. Comments such as "Home delivery foods becoming a disgrace" highlight the need for improved quality control, especially regarding rotten vegetables. Customers mention the difficulty in inspecting produce upon delivery, leading to concerns about trust in the service.

Payment Methods

Payments at Morrisons are convenient, accepting both credit cards and debit cards. They also offer NFC mobile payments, facilitating quick transactions for those on the go. Many customers value the option of in-store pick-up, adding to the flexibility of their shopping experience.

Dining Options and Cafeteria Review

The onsite café provides various meal options, though experiences vary. Some reviews praise the quality and pricing of the meals, while others express dissatisfaction with food quality and service delays. One patron noted, "The café serves one of the worst quality 'big Scottish breakfasts' I have ever experienced." Despite these criticisms, many customers appreciate having a place to grab a quick bite during their shopping trips.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling Facilities

Morrisons promotes sustainability with recycling facilities for glass bottles and a focus on reducing plastic waste. However, customers have suggested improvements, including better management of plastic packaging around fruits and vegetables to avoid spoilage.

Highlights and Areas for Improvement

Some highlights of the Morrisons experience include:

  • Diverse range of products, including international foods
  • Friendly staff willing to assist customers
  • Availability of batteries and household essentials

Nonetheless, there are areas requiring attention, particularly:

  • Car park condition, which has been described as an "assault course" by dissatisfied shoppers
  • Staff behavior, with reports of rudeness affecting customer experiences
  • Management of the café area and food quality inconsistency

Conclusion

Overall, while Morrisons in Peterhead presents numerous benefits, including a friendly atmosphere and a broad selection of products, customer feedback highlights critical areas needing improvement. Vincent Martin (21/07/2025, 21:53):
I must say, I've come across a few useless staff members at this establishment. It's quite frustrating when there are pricing errors or other issues, and they don't seem to take any notice. I've encountered the same problem multiple times, which has made for a rather disappointing experience. The little details really do make a difference, and if I have a negative shopping experience more than once, I tend to steer clear and make the effort to visit a better store. On top of that, I've discovered that I can actually find some items at lower prices at Asda!

The deals at Supermarket are truly remarkable! The shopping experience is top-notch, and having their own butcher and fish counters is a huge advantage. You can easily tell how fresh the products are before making a purchase.
Sophia Myers (19/07/2025, 02:37):
A fantastic assortment of products with prices that won't break the bank.
Ryan Williams (19/07/2025, 02:19):
Lovely friendly spot but always lacking in veg, I must say.
Christina Long (18/07/2025, 20:47):
I probably won't be returning to that Supermarket anytime soon. The young security guard with black hair seems to have some serious issues. Every time I go in there, he's always staring at me and watches my every move throughout the shop. It's absolutely ridiculous. And just so you know, I have never been caught shoplifting in my life!
Alice Jackson (18/07/2025, 10:25):
I recently found everything I needed at the supermarket and scored a fantastic deal on Glenmorangie for £20 instead of £35. The checkout attendant was incredibly pleasant and friendly. Overall, a five-star experience!
Joshua Evans (18/07/2025, 00:02):
The staff was really friendly and they had a great selection of affordable products.
Roy Perry (17/07/2025, 22:34):
Visited the store on 18/01/23 at 8:30 pm only to find it closed for "deep cleaning". There was no advance notice given to customers.
Nicole Cook (15/07/2025, 18:44):
Not a good time for shopping (7.30 pm). Shelves were rather bare and I couldn't find several items on my list, so I'll have to give it another go tomorrow, which isn't what I had in mind.
Gloria Kim (15/07/2025, 12:26):
It was quite the hustle to get in before the school kids descended upon the checkouts like a horde of locusts, but thankfully I managed to avoid a long wait to purchase my supplies. This supermarket is also popular among driving instructors who bring their students here for practice in reverse and forward parking maneuvers.
Zoey Gonzales (13/07/2025, 12:02):
The Morrison's Cafe in Peterhead is by far the worst I've ever experienced. There were flies buzzing around, even landing on the trays. I ordered a baked potato with cheese and was utterly disappointed. The potato was minuscule, about the size of an egg, with barely a sprinkle of cheese on top. No butter as promised, and the side salad consisted of a few sad spinach leaves. It's outrageous that they can serve such meager portions and charge nearly £5 for it. While other Morrisons have been satisfactory in the past, the Peterhead location is truly abysmal. I'd recommend avoiding the café if you're looking to satisfy your hunger, as you'll likely leave just as hungry as you arrived!
Harper Young (12/07/2025, 23:53):
I popped into the Morrisons cafe for lunch with my mates, and I picked up a sandwich from the store. While my friends grabbed some chips from the cafe, we sat down to eat. I had just finished half of my sandwich when a worker named Alison approached me in a very rude manner, insisting that I leave. Despite my cooperation and putting away my food, she returned and exclaimed, "SERIOUSLY?" as she searched for the sandwich. She then asked me to leave once more, showing a lack of professionalism and rudeness in handling the situation.
Martha Phillips (08/07/2025, 18:47):
Just popped in for brekkie. The cooked breakfast was meant to be fresh but ended up cold. The toast was like a rock. Quite a letdown overall.
Kevin Morris (05/07/2025, 13:23):
I do enjoy shopping at this supermarket as they always have fresh and clean food. However, last night I encountered a young girl who was asking for money and it bothered me. I told her to go away. I spoke with the security officer, who seemed to be quite overwhelmed with dealing with people like her. Perhaps having two security officers patrolling would be more effective. Despite this incident, I have been a loyal customer of this supermarket for years, but I must admit I felt uncomfortable last night.
Walter Gutierrez (03/07/2025, 11:07):
Amazing value and a wide variety of options, but tends to get quite crowded on Friday afternoons.
Gabriel Hall (03/07/2025, 02:45):
The supermarket in the town is truly a gem, offering a variety of hot foods and a delightful deli counter. The selection of cold meats is impressive, as is the range of Indian and Chinese cuisine. The sides available complement any dish you decide to prepare. Having resided in a city for over 60 years, I can confidently say that without Morrisons, the town would lack a proper supermarket. While the car park could use some fresh road markings and pothole repairs, the trolleys are surprisingly less rusty compared to others in this salty air-filled area. This establishment stands out as one of the best in the North East. However, male shoppers should take note that the restroom facilities leave something to be desired – there has been a lack of door on the cubicle since before Christmas, and don't expect to find a mirror either!
Joan Adams (01/07/2025, 11:01):
I gave the cafe another shot, but it was even worse this time around. I had to wait a whole 35 minutes for my order, and when it finally arrived, it looked like a mess. The chips were dreadful, and the cheese toastie was completely burnt. There didn't seem to be enough staff working either. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
Ruth Mitchell (30/06/2025, 12:46):
Honestly, I must say, I can't argue with that. The food is quite good, the prices are fair, and the service is decent. It's like having a breakfast that's reminiscent of Bryan Ferry's music: you know exactly what to expect, and it's actually rather pleasant!
Raymond Carter (29/06/2025, 15:55):
The gents' restroom is an absolute disaster... the mirror is gone, one of the stalls is out of order, the floor is always soaked in urine, and it seems like the management has completely neglected the male facilities.
Gabriel Thomas (28/06/2025, 18:04):
Excellent selection and great bang for your buck. I'd recommend steering clear during school lunch hours as the nearby students tend to pack the place, causing quite the hustle at the registers.
