Discovering Morrisons in Livingston: A Comprehensive Review

Morrisons in Livingston is more than just a supermarket; it's a community hub that caters to a diverse range of shoppers. With its wheelchair-accessible entrance and amenities, this store strives to provide an inclusive shopping experience for everyone.

Accessibility Features

The supermarket prides itself on accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible car park and toilets. Shoppers can feel reassured knowing there's a wheelchair-accessible toilet available for their convenience. However, some customers have highlighted issues with staff availability in certain parts of the store, particularly in areas like the cafe and petrol station.

Shopping Experience

Many shoppers rave about the great produce available at Morrisons, from fresh fruits and vegetables to quality meats at the butchery. The spacious aisles allow for easy navigation, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience, especially during peak hours when the crowd can be overwhelming. Despite these positives, a few customers have expressed dissatisfaction with long wait times at checkout or for in-store services, noting instances where cashiers seemed rushed.

Cafe and Service Options

The Morrisons cafe offers a variety of meals, but customer experiences vary greatly. While some patrons enjoy their meals and appreciate the friendly service, others report extended wait times and issues with food quality. For instance, a customer mentioned a 45-minute wait for a breakfast that arrived cold, highlighting inconsistent service. The cafe environment could improve as well; while it serves as a gathering spot, cleanliness and timely service have been points of contention among visitors.

Payment Methods and Offers

Morrisons accepts various payment methods including debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and easy. Regular offers and promotions are frequent, catering to budget-conscious shoppers. However, some customers have voiced concerns about discrepancies between in-store prices and sales advertised online.

Environment and Community Initiatives

An often-discussed aspect of Morrisons is its commitment to the environment, with various recycling options available in-store, such as for batteries and plastic bags. Additionally, the supermarket has been noted for being LGBTQ+ friendly, aiming to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Conclusion: Highlights and Areas for Improvement

While Morrisons in Livingston boasts a fantastic selection of products, amenities, and generally friendly staff, there are clear areas that require attention. Improved staffing levels, particularly in the cafe and service points, could enhance the overall shopping experience. Customers appreciate the thoughtfulness of some staff members who go above and beyond, yet consistent service is crucial for maintaining customer loyalty. In summary, Morrisons remains a favorite for many due to its vast range of offerings and community spirit. Continuous feedback from customers can help shape an even better shopping experience for everyone who walks through its doors.

Matthew Allen (28/06/2025, 17:02):
It's acceptable for some things, but it's one of my least favorite among the major supermarkets. However, it's too distant if you don't own a car. Moreover, it can't compete with Aldi because Aldi is much more affordable.
Pamela Rogers (25/06/2025, 09:36):
This supermarket used to be quite decent, with some great deals especially for those who held a loyalty card. However, they've recently done away with the loyalty card and switched to an App-based system. I haven't received any rewards from the App yet, not that I visit the store very frequently!

Transport yourself back in time and immerse yourself in the nostalgic vibes of the 90s at this delightful shop. The moment you step in, you'll be greeted by the invigorating aroma of fresh fish. If you're looking for value for money, you're in luck – the pricing can be a bit erratic, but there are some fantastic deals to be had, particularly the meal deal which outshines Tesco. Plus, you won't find a cheaper price for Ale anywhere else. However, be prepared to pay a premium for generic chocolate. One minor downside is that the milk is inconveniently located at the furthest point from the entrance, costing them a star in my book.
Nancy Thompson (23/06/2025, 20:14):
My trip to the supermarket was brilliant!

The staff is incredibly polite and helpful if you have any queries. I always manage to find every item I'm searching for.

The prices are reasonable. Morrison's provides a variety of discounted products and special offers.
Grace Phillips (23/06/2025, 05:21):
The self-service checkout was causing a bit of a commotion with all the red lights flashing for staff assistance. A rather impolite young lad was quite rude in his demeanor, constantly rolling his eyes and taking an eternity to offer help. It was early in the morning with only a handful of customers around. To make matters worse, not a single word was exchanged, just a lot of eye-rolling going on.
Kathryn Collins (22/06/2025, 08:33):
I popped into Morrisons Livingston yesterday, and for less than a tenner for two people, we enjoyed the most incredible all-day breakfast. It tasted super fresh and moist, almost as if it had been made just for us right there on the spot, with top-notch bread and butter. I highly recommend it, especially since it's currently half price this week.
Mia Gomez (22/06/2025, 04:58):
A wide selection of fresh fish and meat available daily at the supermarket.
Kathleen Gray (20/06/2025, 06:25):
Absolutely top-notch store! The selection of fruits and veggies is spot on. The staff is ever so helpful, couldn't ask for better. And to top it off, there's a Morrison's cafe with a cracking menu at prices that won't break the bank. I can't recommend this store highly enough.
Linda Patterson (20/06/2025, 00:56):
As per my mate before, we were unjustly accused of thieving. I personally felt targeted as I was with a large group of lasses who all happened to be white. When I entered the establishment, I was the only one singled out, which made me feel quite vulnerable as a girl of color. Later on, when one of the other girls and I went to pay separately, we were once again intercepted and informed that we had been caught stealing previously. We had never encountered this security bloke before, and when we asked for his name, he just chuckled and refused to provide it. I am absolutely appalled by this accusation, particularly in the year 2024.
Emma Barnes (18/06/2025, 06:18):
This store is just wonderful, I must say. The staff is ever so helpful, and there is such a wide array of items to choose from. The flowers are quite lovely as well. Great value for your money, indeed. And let me tell you, the restaurant is top-notch with a delightful breakfast menu.
Dorothy Ross (17/06/2025, 12:59):
I was feeling a bit stressed and popped into your cafe for a quick bite before heading home on Friday night. The young lady at the counter was extremely friendly and polite. I observed her interacting with several customers, and they all left with smiles as they headed to their tables to wait for their food. My meal was served hot and delicious. I would definitely recommend your cafe to friends and family. You should have more staff like this young lady - she was multitasking by delivering food, taking orders, and cleaning. She was like a breath of fresh air.
Eugene Fisher (16/06/2025, 17:17):
Great selection of fresh produce and a well-organized layout, although it was a bit unusual to find the meat section towards the back of the store, opposite to the fruits and vegetables at the entrance. The cashier who assisted us at the checkout was exceptionally friendly and talkative, enhancing our overall shopping experience.
Leonard Martinez (11/06/2025, 17:03):
I used to pop into this Supermarket daily for my lunch, but they've gone and taken out the tills and left just about 5 self-service checkouts. Had to wait twice as long as usual, really shows a lack of respect for their customers' time. Looks like I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Amber Young (11/06/2025, 00:07):
I absolutely adore popping into Morriston Livingston because the variety of fresh fruit and vegetables always seems so extensive, and the vibe is like that of a bigger local market. The selection of cut flowers is also quite impressive, I must say.
Helen Lewis (10/06/2025, 19:14):
I was at Morrisons the other day and saw two colleagues chatting when they weren't busy. The managers then separated them, and one of the managers started talking to another colleague. I find this hypocritical and not right in the slightest. Also, why are they wearing high-vis vests? They're not in a vehicle operating area or a factory, and we can see them just fine with their uniforms on. What world have we come to?
Jason Bennett (09/06/2025, 17:43):
Could you kindly consider adding more personnel in the cafe? The hardworking staff are quite overwhelmed with their tasks. As a result, my meal ended up getting cold, but I still managed to savor it.
Jose Lopez (09/06/2025, 12:13):
Awesome shop, always ace deals, cafe, petrol station, and the staff is dead helpful too.
Stephanie Mitchell (08/06/2025, 10:52):
I must say, the service was rather lacking. We had to wait a good 30 minutes for just 2 breakfasts, despite being told it would only take 10 minutes. Quite disappointing, I must say.
Carol White (07/06/2025, 22:08):
I much prefer this store over Asda. The atmosphere is far superior, with a better layout and setup. I particularly enjoy the pasta and salad bar, it's fantastic.
Brittany Reynolds (07/06/2025, 11:08):
I recently visited a cafe for some food, and it was quite awful. The food was undercooked and the cleanliness was seriously lacking from what I observed. Due to this experience, my stomach is not feeling well, so I will definitely not be returning.
