I say, chap, I must admit I've had a jolly difficult time with this Asda establishment. Twice now I've attempted the click and collect service, waiting over an hour on both occasions. I rang them up twice, but alas, no customer service in sight, and I had to skedaddle without my order due to prior commitments. Jolly rotten luck, that. And just yesterday, I placed an order for delivery today between 5-6, only to receive a notice a mere 15 minutes before it was meant to arrive, informing me that it won't be making its appearance until 11pm! Quite the inconvenience, I must say. Not to mention, the substitutes they offered were downright absurd. I made a call to cancel the whole shebang, yet not a single apology was proffered, and I was informed I'd have to wait 3-5 days for a refund. Quite the palaver, if you ask me. I'd advise steering clear if you can, as it's an utter waste of time.

Well, must say I'm feeling a bit under the weather this Sunday morning with a sore eye and mouth. Popped down to the Chemists for some eye drops, but turns out I didn't need them. Instead, they suggested using cotton balls and warm salty water, which actually turned out to be pretty good advice.

Headed over to the Cosmetics Isle to grab some cotton balls for my eye, only to find they were out of stock. After trekking about 5 miles to get there, now I have to hunt down another store.

So, I opted for breakfast and coffee at the Asda Cafe. Service was decent enough, but while waiting for my meal, I had to navigate through a swarm of flies buzzing around the waste and cutlery area just to fill my cup with coffee and grab some silverware.

The trolleys were piled high with used plates of food, not exactly the most appetizing sight. I ended up sitting next to a table adorned with leftover food and dirty dishes.

When my breakfast finally arrived, it was a bit bland. I tried to eat as much as I could, all the while wondering how many flies had landed on my plate or cutlery. Definitely not the most pleasant experience today.

As I was leaving, a staff member decided to start clearing the table next to me. Ah well, at least that spot should be alright for the next customer. I can't help but wonder how long it'll take to clear my table.

Perhaps two staff members aren't quite enough for the Cafe service area on such a quiet Sunday morning.

I had an experience with Asda Linwood recently where I placed an online shopping order scheduled to arrive last night (9/12/22). The driver, named Iain, arrived at my house, parked, then drove away and unexpectedly canceled my order! What a complete farce!

The shop's not bad, but there's a wee problem with one of the air pumps at the garage - the hose has a leak. They've tried patching it up with some sellotape, but it's still leaking. Seems like they know about it but haven't bothered to fix it properly.

Absolutely shameful

Arrived to collect an Xbox after calling ahead to confirm its availability. Suddenly, the warehouse employee who brought out the last Xbox claimed it was reserved for another customer.

Wasted my time and effort by coming to the store for no reason. The manager was extremely unhelpful.

It was a quarter past nine on a Saturday morning at the self-service counter, and I was having trouble with the system not recognizing the weight of my item. The red light was flashing, signaling for assistance. The only other till in use also needed help. Eventually, the staff member finished chatting with a colleague and walked past me, helping the customer next to me before leaving the self-service area to chat with someone at customer service. Normally, I am quite patient, but this time I just left my items and the store. It seems like they don't prioritize customer service. Why do they assign the most unfriendly staff to positions where customer interaction is crucial?

The substitute pharmacist declined to fill my 1.5 month old baby's prescription since they were closing in 10 minutes, but suggested I pay for it instead to expedite the process. Later, the regular pharmacist called me to apologize, but their tone came off as insincere and impertinent, constantly interrupting me. Individuals like these should reconsider their career choice. Appalling.

I went to the supermarket recently and was quite disappointed with what I found. The shelves were bare, especially in the vegetable section. I came across produce that was past its expiration date, including chicken and bakery items. It's baffling how they could allow cucumber portions, supposedly with a week left before expiry, to be rotten inside the packaging.

I used to do the majority of my weekly shopping there, but now I no longer consider it my go-to supermarket. I have doubts about the freshness and quality of their products. If they continue down this path, they may end up closing shop soon.

Yet, this morning at the checkout, I was informed that I needed to present the actual app, which I couldn't access while in-store. The same situation occurred with a £20 off voucher for which I had a screenshot prepared. Reluctantly, I ended up paying full price to avoid inconveniencing myself and other customers, not wanting to cause a scene or hold up the line at the checkout. I felt embarrassed, especially given the condescending tone of the checkout attendant. I received an unnecessary lecture on store policy, which had never been an issue in the past.

Moreover, the recent installation of enhanced security measures like gates and cameras at the self-checkout – seemingly the only notable investment in years – indicates a profit-driven approach at the expense of deteriorating standards in product availability, presentation, pricing (featuring misleading offers), and the overall condition of the store. I must say, I had an absolutely dreadful experience with the delivery service from this supermarket today. I had scheduled a delivery between 12 and 2, received a text saying it would come between 12.29 and 1.29, but then got a call from the driver at 2.15 informing me that he had broken down. The shop manager was supposed to call me, which never happened. By 4.10, I was fed up and contacted customer service to inquire about the delay. They informed me it would be delivered the next day and even tried to charge me again for it. After some back and forth, the customer service manager assured me it would arrive that night but could not provide a specific time. Just when I thought it would finally be sorted, Asda called to say I would have to wait until tomorrow as that was considered the delivery attempt. Frustrated by the whole ordeal, I ended up spending £20 tonight to feed my family assuming the groceries were on their way, only to then cancel the order. It's left us in a bit of a bind and feeling very disappointed. This was my first time trying online food shopping, and I can honestly say it will be my last. What a complete and utter joke you are, Asda.

We placed an order for £85 worth of groceries to be delivered by 9 PM on Saturday, July 1st. The website indicated that the delivery had been made, but to our dismay, not a single item reached our doorstep. When my wife contacted customer service, they informed her that the order had mysteriously vanished. They assured us that the funds would be reimbursed by the following Friday but abruptly ended the call. This level of customer service is appalling and unacceptable. This is not the first time we have experienced such incompetence from Asda. Regrettably, they claimed they were unable to resend the original order, forcing us to place a new £85 order for delivery. Spending a total of £150 per week simply isn't feasible for us. It is imperative that Asda prioritizes the well-being of their customers.

After 140 minutes of cooking, I eagerly took a bite only to be met with a revolting and putrid smell emanating from the meat. To my dismay, this is not the first time I have encountered such an issue with a lamb leg from this store. On a previous occasion, the stench of decay hit me as soon as I unwrapped the plastic packaging. Determined to address the situation, I sought out the store manager to voice my concerns. Despite a delay in their arrival, the manager eventually apologized for the spoiled meat and requested that I remove the offending item from the premises, citing store policy. Refusing to comply, I made it clear that I would not be purchasing raw meat from this establishment again.

This store is absolutely dreadful for the products on the shelves showing one price, yet when you reach the checkout, you end up paying more! It's a shame, really. One must be vigilant and frequently inspect their till receipt. And did you happen to know that the proprietors of Asda (Issa Brothers) are supporters of the Tory party? I must say, if I had the option, I would definitely leave a 0-star rating for my recent experience with the so-called "Superstore" at Asda's Linwood. My weekly grocery delivery never arrived, and when I reached out to customer service to inquire about its whereabouts, I was informed that the driver couldn't locate my address. I found it puzzling that the driver didn't follow the usual procedure of contacting me for directions. Despite assurances that the driver would call me to arrange a redelivery, no such call came through, prompting me to contact customer service once more. It was then revealed that my order had been cancelled and I would be receiving a refund.

I have been receiving weekly home deliveries at this address for approximately a decade, so it baffles me why there was suddenly an issue with locating it. My only guess is that perhaps it was a new driver, as it seems that there is a frequent turnover of drivers at this particular store. Regrettably, I now find myself having to turn to Tesco for my groceries, as I can no longer depend on Asda for reliable service.
