Focus on Recycling

Asda is taking steps towards sustainability, and shoppers are encouraged to participate in recycling efforts. The store has designated areas for recycling metal cans and glass bottles, promoting a green lifestyle. However, customers have noted a need for improvement in packaging practices, as many fresh produce items are still wrapped in non-recyclable materials.

Pharmacy Services

One highlight of the Asda Perth Superstore is its pharmacy. Reviews indicate that while some customers have had negative experiences, others have praised the pharmacy staff for their helpfulness during critical times. It's recommended to plan ahead if visiting the pharmacy, especially during busy hours when waits may be longer.

Online and In-Store Services

Asda offers various service options including no-contact delivery and in-store pick-up for online orders. However, some customers have reported issues with delayed deliveries and order inaccuracies, particularly concerning items nearing their expiration dates. It is wise to check your orders carefully.

Quality of Produce

Customers often commend Asda Perth for its great produce, although there have been occasional complaints about stock levels and availability. Shoppers are advised to visit during off-peak hours for the best selection, as busy times may lead to empty shelves.

The staff at this supermarket are usually quite friendly, but there are a couple of employees who seem to be approaching retirement and have lost their motivation to provide exceptional service. Sometimes, it feels like you're bothering them when you ask for assistance. However, most of the staff are helpful and will guide you in the right direction.

Just purchased a pasta salad from the store in Perth and found a stray piece of lettuce in it. This happened before the best before date. It's essential to inspect your products thoroughly to prevent any potential food safety issues.

I seem to encounter issues with my orders quite frequently, particularly concerning the expiration dates on items. It's truly baffling to me how your staff overlooks such crucial details before sending them out. I received a delivery on Saturday, 25th May only to discover that the products were expired when I attempted to consume them.

Additionally, I must say that I've found the pharmacy staff to be incredibly rude and unhelpful. Their behavior and conversations in front of customers are quite shocking. I distinctly recall one staff member informing another right in front of me that they couldn't assist me with an emergency prescription because I use Browns Chemist. I was then directed to make the long journey into town to visit Browns Pharmacy before it closed, but fortunately, I managed to reach it in time.

The EV chargers are not being policed properly (non-EV vehicles are always parked in the spots designated for them). And even when you manage to find a spot, they are often tricky to use or don't work at all.
Evelyn Jones (18/08/2025, 03:17):
Brilliant market. We found all we were after.
Jordan Taylor (15/08/2025, 03:14):
Great selection of items. The fuel prices are the most competitive around, on par with Morrisons.
Raymond Cook (11/08/2025, 00:32):
Certainly more affordable than Tesco or Sainsbury's, but this particular supermarket lacks in stocking. I frequently visit in the evenings, and there is a limited selection of essential items such as bread, milk, or certain frozen foods. It's disappointing not being able to find my favorite foods.
Benjamin Ramos (06/08/2025, 17:47):
Online grocery orders have been quite terrible. I decided to stop using Asda and switched to Morrisons and Tesco back in December last year. I gave Asda another chance this week, but it was just as disappointing. The substitution options were absurd and there were too many items missing. I suggest sticking to the other supermarkets, any one other than Asda.

Great spot to grab some groceries, the staff are always lovely. Will definitely be returning!
Debra Young (03/08/2025, 09:19):
This is an absolute drama waiting at the pickup point for 1 hour! Absolutely dreadful. And who was responsible for this? Brexit 🤦🤦 Very unprofessional staff...either start paying people a fair wage or start hiring competent individuals...what a drama.
Stephanie Reyes (03/08/2025, 02:06):
I am absolutely chuffed and completely gutted that they didn't have a coffee thoafer

So, today me daughter, after a long shift as a nurse, popped into Asda Perth. As soon as she walks in, the security guard gives her a rough time about not wearing a mask. Poor lass had been wearing one all day at the hospital. The way he spoke to her, it left her feeling absolutely embarrassed and she ended up crying all the way back. She's not a wee lassie, mind you, she's a professional woman in her 30s who spends her days with very ill patients. Funny thing is, I was there earlier and saw the same bouncer being awfully rude to three laddies, telling them no masks would be needed from tomorrow. But my daughter was denied entry for not having a mask on, yet I've been in a couple of times this week and spotted staff wandering about without masks. Actually, I'm not even sure if the doorman himself was wearing one. Perhaps because he has a disability, he thinks he can speak however he likes, but I treat everyone with respect and expect the same in return.

The 5 stars ain't for the store itself but for the amazing staff!! They're so helpful, especially the night crew. There's this one girl named Mandy who really goes above and beyond. The only issue I have is that every time I go in for just one thing, I end up leaving with a whole cart (stop rearranging everything!!!). And they never seem to have that one thing I originally went in for!!
Frank Ward (31/07/2025, 23:50):
I had a splendid encounter with a wonderful lady at the self-checkout when my two year old was throwing a tantrum. I reckon her name was Mandy... she kindly watched over my son and even assisted with bagging all the groceries. Such attentive and caring service! Thank you ever so much.
Alan Cooper (31/07/2025, 04:04):
Fraudulent claim made regarding delivery. Despite lack of evidence to support claim, store refuses refund. Legal action taken. Shocked by deceitful behavior.
Larry Kim (28/07/2025, 21:44):
I had a family member who was very unwell at the Asda store today. We had to call for an ambulance. I just wanted to say that the staff were extremely helpful. Thank you to Debbie and Kevin on security. Your kindness was truly appreciated and did not go unnoticed. Thanks once again, Laura x
Christopher Butler (27/07/2025, 14:08):
I always shop at Asda, it's my dad's favorite and now it's mine too.
Rebecca James (26/07/2025, 23:36):
The supermarket is quite average, but it could use some cleaning in certain areas. During checkout, I found the staff to be a bit impolite and lacking professionalism. It might be beneficial to provide additional training for your self-checkout employees to prevent them from making comments about customers' appearances. I chuckled along at the moment, but looking back, it was not suitable.
Jesse Martinez (23/07/2025, 07:15):
Absolutely loathe it. The aisles are far too cramped. Always jam-packed, with staff who come across as awfully impolite and unaccommodating. Shoppers leaving their carts smack in the middle of the aisles can be quite aggravating, and they don't seem any friendlier either. The self-service counters never seem to function properly, and the checkout attendants move at a glacial pace. Don't even get me started on the chaos that is the parking lot.
Joseph Cooper (22/07/2025, 13:41):
I must say, Asda has won my heart! My initial trip to one of their stores was an absolute delight. The place was immaculate, with ample parking space and a vast selection of groceries and produce. It was quite the novelty for me, as up here in my neck of the woods, we mainly have Tesco and the Co-op. Needless to say, Asda has earned a new fan in me!
