I popped by the petrol station this morning around 10 a.m. The automatic stop on the diesel pump at pump 8 wasn't working properly, and I ended up with a ruined pair of boots and trousers. When I brought this issue to the garage attendant's attention, I was met with a casual shrug as if to say "not my problem." Not a single apology or even a simple thank you for informing them... Absolutely dreadful!!

There's a rather large Tesco store situated just opposite B&Q in Perth. Parking is abundant, which is always a plus. What's particularly intriguing is that they have an on-site kitchen where they test out new products that aren't on the market yet. You might even be approached to participate in taste tests - quite a unique experience!

I simply must express my gratitude to Ashleigh, who staffs the checkout at your Perth store on Crieff Road. As my husband and I were packing our groceries, our inquisitive 3-year-old daughter wandered over to Ashleigh's side of the checkout for a little look around. Ashleigh kindly offered her the chance to assist, and of course, Hannah eagerly accepted. With a radiant smile, Hannah helped scan the remainder of our items and took her responsibilities very seriously. The cleanliness in the cafe was abysmal, mate. The cutlery was absolutely reeking, we had to ask for it to be washed. The coffee was absolutely freezing. And don't get me started on the staff - no hair nets or hats in the kitchen! Someone needs to have a word about this because it's not up to scratch compared to other Tesco stores.

I must say, I was quite dismayed to notice the staff at the supermarket being on their mobile phones or engaged in conversations amongst themselves instead of assisting customers. Additionally, it was quite off-putting to see staff members utilizing the public disabled toilet and parking their vehicles near the front entrance, making parking a challenge. The service at the self-checkout was also lacking, as I found myself waiting for assistance. Overall, the customer service experience left much to be desired.

The supermarket's hours were great, open until midnight! They always had plenty of stock available, and the staff were so friendly. Plus, there was a big parking lot which made it the best shopping option compared to ASDA.

I must say, the security locks on the trolleys are quite hazardous. Picture this: I'm strolling out with my infant snugly wrapped in a carrier when suddenly, the lock snaps shut, nearly sending my little one jolting back into it. Imagine being expectant and bumping into it, or worse yet, if you're differently-abled and take a tumble. The same mishap occurred to my dear mum, who's disabled, and she too endured a close call, almost injuring her back as the trolley jerked violently. It's no fault of the staff, mind you; they're always a delight. But the higher-ups ought to reconsider removing these potential hazards.

I must say, it's quite disheartening to find no gluten-free options at the café, just sugary bars. You'd think the biggest supermarket chain in the UK would have a better selection. Thankfully, they do offer gluten-free products in-store. It shouldn't be a Herculean task to pick up a loaf of bread from the shop downstairs, now should it? Cheers! P

Well, yeah, the store is massive, but the product selection is very limited! I mean, they still don't sell things like French macarons, and their dessert section is nonsense. They have 10 different varieties of pudding or 15 varieties of cheesecakes, so it looks very big and busy, but if you don't like puddings or cheesecakes, your third option can only be Victoria sponge, again with 20 varieties of it! They used to sell French "mansoné" selection of finger cakes for 3.50£, and they were very popular; even local Tesco employees were asking me where I got them. But somehow, they took them away from the shelves and replaced them with more varieties of uninspiring cheesecakes. I know British people have always been conservative with their food and don't like trying new things, but come on, what about people like me with an educated palate? The same thing they did with Feta cheese. They had amazing Tesco Finest Feta Cheese in marinated water. A bit more expensive than average Feta, but worth every penny, and many people were delighted to pay extra for quality. I know this for a fact; I go to Tesco every day and notice that when the staff fill up the Feta section with Finest Feta, it's gone within 24 hours, while other brands' Fetas stay there for a long time. So, I don't get it at all! If a Tesco management team member ever reads this, please, please do something about it! I can understand that Tesco's main customers are working-class people and so on, but please give us more variety from different countries like France, Italy, etc. That way, you make us happy and give hope that locals will also one day change their minds and try to educate their palates too! Don't be like Americans with just pizza, burgers, and hot dogs; be more like your close neighbors from continental Europe. Give us more Spanish sausages and French desserts instead of being conservative! Actually, even Americans nowadays have invited Gordon Ramsay, and we have thousands like Gordon Ramsay, so please don't ignore them!
