With options for in-store shopping, the supermarket is designed to accommodate all customers, including those with mobility challenges.

Accessibility Features

The store prides itself on being wheelchair-accessible and provides essential amenities such as a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible toilet. Parking is made easy with a dedicated wheelchair-accessible car park and a spacious free parking lot that offers 2 hours of free parking, although drivers should be cautious about time limits to avoid fines.

Payment Options

When it comes to making purchases, Tesco Extra embraces modern payment methods. Customers can use credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments for convenience. However, feedback suggests that the self-checkout scenarios might require more attention from staff to ensure a smooth experience.

Service Options and Amenities

While many patrons enjoy the variety of offerings available, customer service has received mixed reviews. Some have reported long waits at the self-service checkouts due to staff distractions, while others highlight friendly employees who are willing to assist when needed. The store provides an array of on-site services, including a café, a pharmacy, and even areas for recycling.

Food Selection and Quality

The food section features great produce alongside a diverse selection of items. While many customers find the quality satisfactory, concerns have been raised about the freshness of certain items. Shoppers appreciate the availability of organic options and promotional meal deals that offer great value.

Community and Inclusivity

One noteworthy aspect of this Tesco location is its commitment to creating a welcoming environment. The store has been recognized as a transgender safe space and is LGBTQ+ friendly. This inclusivity fosters a sense of community among shoppers, enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Highlights and Drawbacks

To summarize, Tesco Extra in Perth boasts several highlights, including:

  • Ample parking and easy accessibility
  • A wide range of amenities
  • Availability of both traditional and modern payment options
  • A commitment to being a LGBTQ+ friendly environment

I must say, I have encountered some of the rudest customers while trying to collect my match attax hero packs. I could only find one pack because the customer service where I was said they couldn't help me, and they lacked manners. I will be sticking to the Edinburgh Road store from now on because they have much better customer service. If I could, I would give this store 0 stars.

Click and collect: simply dreadful, more like a nightmare! You have to park up, wait in the rain, hop back in the motor, and then wait some more. And when your shopping arrives, there's no receipt and you're left wondering what you've missed from your list. Why mess with something that was working beautifully and running like clockwork? It's utterly daft! After being a loyal Tesco customer for donkey's years, I won't be returning. Aldi is the way forward for me, thank you very much.
Julia Patterson (11/06/2025, 14:33):
No worries getting me groceries I wanted, and was chuffed to see a bunch of the checkout tills open as I'm not keen on those self-service ones. Lovely lass at the till who sorted me out with the voucher on my Tesco app. Cheers!
Alice Cruz (11/06/2025, 07:11):
Just had a cooked brekkie at the cafe, absolutely dreadful! The cutlery looked grimy, the bacon was pink and rubbery, the sausage was cold in the centre, everything tasted like a grease fest, the egg was way too runny. Definitely won't be returning!
Judith Cruz (10/06/2025, 13:23):
This is absolutely shocking! I couldn't believe it when I went to the supermarket today on June 6th in Perth. Almost all the checkouts were closed, except for three. The frustration was palpable. In the end, I just abandoned my trolley and walked out. Unbelievable!
Emma Peterson (09/06/2025, 14:09):
The only option available for checkout was the self-service counter.
Emily Simmons (06/06/2025, 00:39):
Great shop, staff is lovely - always so busy!
Isabella Morris (05/06/2025, 02:13):
Tesco is a top pick with its Aldi price match and the standard of their products is usually top-notch.
Bradley Rogers (04/06/2025, 04:26):
As an SEO specialist for a blog focused on Supermarkets, I would rewrite the comment as follows:

"Past its sell-by date.. Long live Lidl!"
Christina Reyes (03/06/2025, 19:07):
They be blockin' the exits, creatin' fire hazards, mate.
Steven Sanders (26/05/2025, 11:10):
I had a smashing time during my visit to the Supermarket! The chaps at the store were ever so helpful and full of cheer. Please do pass along my thanks to them. Cheers!
Angela Ramirez (24/05/2025, 19:12):
The staff at this supermarket are absolutely lovely and always ready to lend a hand. I've been a regular customer for years and I must say I've never encountered any issues. There was this one time when I realized I'd left my wallet at home as I was about to check out. I was far from home with two hungry little ones in tow, so one of the supervisors kindly offered to cover my bill and told me I could return the money the following day. Now, isn't that just a splendid gesture?
Jonathan Gomez (14/05/2025, 21:29):
Supermarket is my go-to place for shopping, been a loyal customer for years now. The staff are always so friendly and I can find almost anything I need at any time, 24/7.
Ethan Parker (14/05/2025, 04:29):
The wide array of products at Tesco is always top-notch, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Emily Gomez (13/05/2025, 14:06):
70 quid fine for parking over 2 hours!
Noah Kim (12/05/2025, 22:15):
I absolutely adore Tesco! The fact that there's an extra touch to it just makes me go wahoooooooo!
Nathan Cox (07/05/2025, 19:39):
This place does exactly what it promises, fantastic location.
Andrew Ross (06/05/2025, 14:27):
I say, I must highlight a matter of concern regarding the food range at Charle Binghams. It appears that the monitoring of such products is lacking, as a damaged portion was left on the shelf for over a week, with olives being 4 days out of date. The lackadaisical attitude of the staff towards this issue is quite disconcerting.
Russell Garcia (06/05/2025, 13:33):
I indulged in a delightful veggie breakfast this morning. It was meticulously prepared and elegantly presented. The veggie sausages oozed with flavor, the fried eggs were perfectly runny, the mushrooms had just the right amount of bite, and the grilled tomato retained its texture. I attempted to acknowledge the skilled chef behind the scenes to express my contentment, alas without success. Here's hoping she stumbles upon my glowing review.
Shirley Perry (05/05/2025, 20:34):
Escaping from Tesco can be a right pain because of the traffic, but once you're inside, the shelves are always fully stocked and the checkouts are efficiently managed. A solid choice for your shopping needs, indeed.
