The self-serve options and such
the primary cash registers are shutting earlier and earlier, last night it was at 9 o'clock. This isn't about providing service to the customer, it's simply about saving money by cutting jobs. Last night, when I arrived with a trolley full of goods, I was offered a self-scan! There's barely enough space for that! Morrison's self-scan is a complete checkout, are you kidding me! I flat out refused and the incredibly helpful staff handled the shopping for me. Well, I certainly wasn't going to do it! It's not my role! It's ASDA's role to assist me and take my money for the service. Additionally, how will the Peterhead store manage during Christmas? Well, I'll tell you... it's through TESCO Delivery, that's how. The store was struggling even before the renovation, and now, with fewer checkouts, it's essentially doomed!

Sure, it's better organized and has more variety... but fewer cash registers to serve customers! Which village is missing its fool!

I must say, it's quite disappointing how some items are consistently out of stock for weeks at this grocery store. The selection of groceries here is rather basic, especially when compared to other Asda locations and competitors. When shopping, it's crucial to pay close attention to the use-by dates on products and fresh produce. Additionally, the reduced price produce section is quite underwhelming. The difference in price between items nearing their use-by date and those with several days left is minimal, to say the least.
Diane Richardson (24/07/2025, 00:45):
The personnel at this establishment invariably lend a hand and are constantly exuding cheerfulness.
Mark Diaz (23/07/2025, 14:53):
The staff at this grocery store are really friendly, always willing to help and make your shopping experience enjoyable.
Rose Murphy (19/07/2025, 23:39):
Big shop with everything you need, mate.
Allison Cooper (19/07/2025, 01:32):
Just popped into the petrol station today. It's usually the most budget-friendly in Peterhead, but that new petrol station near B&Q has been giving them some competition lately.
Zoey Diaz (18/07/2025, 08:32):
The ASDA supermarket in Peterhead is a right gem, offering a vast selection of groceries and household essentials at cracking prices. The store is tidy as a button, with shelves brimming full. Their hours are proper convenient, open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. The checkout crew is quick on their feet, making the shopping experience a breeze. Plus, they've got a petrol station and plenty of parking spots right on the doorstep. Top marks all around!
Victoria Hughes (14/07/2025, 22:20):
I love that this place has customer restrooms! It's such a relief to know you can easily take a break while doing your grocery shopping. Great feature!
Helen Gray (13/07/2025, 15:00):
This quaint little Asda shop is quite charming, with a modest selection of George products.
Dylan Ramirez (10/07/2025, 15:36):
The dates provided were too short and the chicken smelled bad when I opened it, despite still having 2 days left on the expiration date.
Martha Diaz (07/07/2025, 22:13):
The lavatories are in a dreadful state, with urine all over the floors and no hot water available to maintain hygiene. The overall sanitation is quite poor and unsatisfactory.
Julie Ross (07/07/2025, 01:29):
A convenient store, but could do with a bit more range of products.
Anna Nelson (06/07/2025, 09:48):
Absolutely adore Asda, fantastic deals with fantastic perks!
Hannah Ramos (04/07/2025, 07:46):
Morrisons is top-notch, and you earn points too!
Alan Stewart (03/07/2025, 03:44):
Disappointing grocery store lacking a butcher or bakery. Appears to have a perpetual leak in the roof. The staff are always blocking the aisles with carts and boxes. What happened to the benches? They seem to be reserved for the smoking employees out back, next to the crooked air conditioning unit precariously perched over the walkway to the checkout. The café is like a glorified shed - decent offerings, but who wants to sit in a metal container? Kids misbehaving near the entrance, leaving a mess behind. We've even slipped near the ATM due to fluids from motorcycles parking on the sidewalk - why allow that? Bring back the left exit for the parking lot, visibility is an issue. Overall, it's okay for a quick stop, but head to Morrisons for a better experience.
Linda Rivera (02/07/2025, 12:24):
Terribly disappointing customer service at the self-checkout area, as there was no one to be found for assistance. I found myself waiting for a good 5 minutes as the staff seemed preoccupied with their conversations.
Danielle Baker (30/06/2025, 10:46):
Tracy at the checkouts was a great help with our scan as you go shopping. A real credit to Asda!
Nathan Torres (28/06/2025, 08:19):
The staff at the grocery store were ever so friendly and helpful, a true credit to ASDA.
Roy Peterson (26/06/2025, 05:52):
So, you've gone and spruced up your grocer's shop in Peterhead, but there ain't a single mirror to be found in the apparel section for those looking to try on a coat? Blimey!
Nicholas Cruz (24/06/2025, 15:02):
Useful for quick trips to the store, but the variety of products is seriously lacking. The situation seems to be deteriorating rather than improving.
