A young pharmacist then proceeded to inform me that it takes a full week from the time of ordering at the surgery for them to prepare the medication. I'm afraid to say this pharmacy has really taken a turn for the worse. I'm not sure if it's a change in staff or management, but when you walk in, no one even acknowledges your presence. I waited in line for 15 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging anyone. They seem to actively avoid making eye contact. Two people actually left while I was waiting, including an elderly person struggling with two walking sticks. There are signs around the desk indicating zero tolerance, which makes me wonder if there have been incidents in the past.
A simple greeting like, "Hello, we're a bit busy right now but we'll be with you shortly," can make a big difference in easing the tension.
