Asda Clydebank Superstore: A Comprehensive Overview

Located in the heart of Clydebank, the Asda Clydebank Superstore offers a broad range of offerings that cater to the diverse shopping needs of its customers. However, feedback from shoppers suggests that the experience can vary widely depending on the time of visit and service received.

Shopping Convenience and Accessibility

With ample parking, including a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, Asda aims to ensure accessibility for all patrons. However, many shoppers have noted that free parking can be difficult to find during peak times, leading to frustration when attempting a quick visit.

Payment Options and Services

At Asda, various payment options are available, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the lack of no-contact delivery options and the availability of certain services during busy periods. Those using self-service checkouts often report long waits due to insufficient staffing, which diminishes the overall shopping efficiency.

Quality of Produce and In-store Experience

Many shoppers appreciate the great produce available at Asda, often highlighting the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. However, there have been numerous complaints regarding the cleanliness of the store, with customers describing it as “dirty” and “unhygienic.” This is particularly concerning given that some individuals have reported receiving expired products.

Customer Service: A Mixed Bag

Feedback about customer service at Asda Clydebank has been decidedly mixed. While several employees have been praised for their helpfulness, others have been criticized for unprofessional behavior. Many customers have recounted unpleasant interactions, particularly at the service desk and during grocery collection, where long wait times and poor communication have led to frustration. Shoppers have even reported feeling unwelcome or accused of inappropriate behavior during their visits.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling

Asda has also made strides in its recycling efforts, aiming to engage customers in sustainable practices. However, some shoppers feel that the overall management of waste in and around the store could be improved, with more bins needed outside to accommodate the volume of customers.

In-Store Pick-Up and Delivery Services

While Asda offers in-store pick-up and delivery services, experiences indicate that these can be hit or miss. Customers have shared frustrations about delays and difficulties in placing orders, particularly during peak shopping hours.

Conclusion: A Store of Potential

The Asda Clydebank Superstore holds tremendous potential as a one-stop shop for many local residents. With improvements in customer service, cleanliness, and efficient staff management, it could significantly enhance the shopper's experience. Despite its challenges, it remains a convenient option for those in Clydebank seeking a comprehensive selection of groceries and household goods.

This Asda is alright, but it's not top-notch, you know? It seems like the layout was done by a designer who couldn't see a thing!
Once you finally locate what you're after, the products are decent and the staff are quite friendly. However, the outside area is a bit chaotic and could use either more bins or some folks to keep it tidy.
No doubt, it's better than the Asda in Ardrossan, that's for sure.
Sarah Hall (02/08/2025, 03:27):
I recently visited the supermarket and was quite disappointed with the experience. The shelves were bare, there was a noticeable absence of staff, and the floors were dirty. I used to frequent this store often, but after this visit, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.
Carolyn Reynolds (01/08/2025, 02:44):
Just had brunch with eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, and chips. I must say, I was positively surprised by how good it was this time. I recall that it wasn't up to par in the past, but it seems like they've brought in some new kitchen staff, and the improvement is noticeable. Overall, a very satisfying experience. Cheers!
Ella Wilson (31/07/2025, 09:35):
I am quite fond of Asda's own brand sausage and beans tins, but I have noticed that it says there are 7 sausages in the tin, yet I am only receiving 7 sausages. I would appreciate an explanation for this discrepancy.

I must say, the ladies at this store's cafe seemed quite perplexed by the idea of a vegetarian customer. They charged me £5 for a veggie brekkie when the menu clearly stated £3.50. My veggie brekkie comprised solely of 2 veggie sausages, 1 egg, and a dollop of beans.

On the contrary, my husband enjoyed a hearty breakfast with all the trimmings one would expect from a full Scottish breakfast, yet we both paid the same price. A rather puzzling experience, I must say.
Justin Parker (24/07/2025, 05:54):
I was wrongly accused of shoplifting and they didn't even bother to review the security footage to corroborate my innocence. Moreover, I was humiliated in front of a crowd and treated with absolute disdain.
Bobby Jackson (22/07/2025, 14:00):
Decent supermarket, but a bit frustrating that the changing rooms were closed on a Saturday afternoon. Missed out on buying some clothes I had my eye on.
Bruce Clark (22/07/2025, 02:10):
A security bloke wrongly accused me of pinching stuff and was being racist by telling me to bugger off back to my own country. He ought to be sacked, mate.
Thomas Kim (21/07/2025, 14:52):
I must say, this store is quite decent for picking up most of your necessities, until you reach the checkout. Every time we visit this place and I present my blue light card, I feel like I'm being interrogated. My phone is snatched from my hand, followed by my bank card, and I'm made to stand there while they verify that it's me making the payment. There's no expression of gratitude, no politeness, no offer of sanitizer after handling my belongings. I detest these incidents as they are utterly embarrassing and completely unnecessary.
Roy Harris (21/07/2025, 13:17):
This supermarket in the Clydebank shopping centre is quite sizeable. They have a spacious car park with designated disabled spaces, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. Their selection of food, drinks, and non-food items is impressive. The washroom for disabled customers is modern and clean.

During our visit on a bustling Saturday afternoon, we encountered long queues at the two staffed checkouts that were open, leading to a significant delay in paying for our purchases. Additionally, there was a lengthy line at the self-service checkouts. It seemed apparent that more staff should have been available to assist with the high volume of customers.
Evelyn Lopez (21/07/2025, 07:25):
I must say, Govan Asda is definitely not one of the finest Asda stores I've had the pleasure of visiting. The interior is quite dimly lit, the aisles are rather narrow, and the overall layout leaves much to be desired. And don't get me started on the carpark—it's an absolute nightmare. All in all, my experience there was far from great.
Jack Johnson (21/07/2025, 02:07):
As usual, Asda never lets you down, a go-to destination for all your shopping needs and open 24/7.
Amy Jordan (19/07/2025, 11:39):
The staff was top-notch, making my shopping experience easy and enjoyable every time.
Ashley Morales (19/07/2025, 06:03):
My fiancé purchased a blue pig toy for our dog, and when he started chewing on it, blue dye began to leak out of the toy. We are both so upset about this, as now the dye is all over our dog's paws and has made a mess on our floor.
Adam Hayes (17/07/2025, 23:48):
On the afternoon of November 3rd, 2020, there was a lady named Elaine manning the customer service desk between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm. My interaction with her was very unpleasant and left me feeling quite annoyed. Despite informing her numerous times that I had been waiting in the queue, she rudely insisted that I go back and join the line. This continued even after the couple in front of me and the lady behind me confirmed that I had indeed been waiting. Eventually, she instructed me to wait until she called me, which I found to be completely unacceptable. Her unprofessional and disrespectful behavior was truly disappointing. Absolutely shameful!
Harper Jordan (17/07/2025, 01:11):
The store is decent, but they never seem to have any gluten-free options that I can enjoy, like sandwiches or salads. It's the same story at all the Asda stores I've visited - I've tried Clydebank and Bearsden, but no luck. I even checked out Starbucks, Morrisons, Tesco, and Aldi, but none of them have anything quick and easy for me to grab for lunch. So now I find myself having to make my own lunch in the car, which ends up costing me £7.59 each time.
Gloria Kim (13/07/2025, 20:57):
I recently departed ASDA Clydebank at 11 p.m. on the 23rd of December. Over the tannoy, they announced that Marshalls were ensuring everyone wore masks for safety. However, I observed at least five ASDA staff members and around 10 other customers without masks. What's the point if some folks don't follow the rules?
Anthony Collins (12/07/2025, 05:15):
Dear Reader,

I wish to report an incident that occurred at the supermarket that was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. I do not know the name of the staff member in question, but she had red hair and was stationed at the service desk near the entrance, working with a younger employee. As I approached the checkout to purchase my meal deal, I witnessed the red-haired woman engaging in a heated argument with the younger staff member regarding shift swapping or a similar issue. Despite this, the polite blonde girl efficiently served me. Before leaving, the red-haired woman was confronted by the blonde girl about her behavior in front of customers, to which she callously responded, "Yes, I am serious; you are taking opportunities away from those who have been here longer than you." The younger girl became visibly upset while serving me and eventually had to walk away in tears. The red-haired woman and another older blonde colleague were observed laughing at the distressed girl after she left. This distressing situation has deeply affected me, and I urge the management to review the CCTV footage to address this issue promptly. This incident took place between 4:05 PM - 4:30 PM, although the exact time is uncertain.

Yours sincerely,
[Your Name]
Donald Morales (10/07/2025, 14:55):
Asda has definitely taken a turn for the worse. The prices are through the roof, there's a severe shortage of staffed checkouts, and it's high time they stationed some employees on the upper floor to man a till. I wouldn't advise anyone to do their shopping here.
Sarah Roberts (08/07/2025, 05:40):
Supermarket provides excellent deals on everyday essentials. Be sure to explore their selection of spirits and take advantage of their Roll Back promotions for even greater savings. Cheers!
