Asda Clydebank Superstore: A Comprehensive Overview

Located in the heart of Clydebank, the Asda Clydebank Superstore offers a broad range of offerings that cater to the diverse shopping needs of its customers. However, feedback from shoppers suggests that the experience can vary widely depending on the time of visit and service received.

Shopping Convenience and Accessibility

With ample parking, including a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, Asda aims to ensure accessibility for all patrons. However, many shoppers have noted that free parking can be difficult to find during peak times, leading to frustration when attempting a quick visit.

Payment Options and Services

At Asda, various payment options are available, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the lack of no-contact delivery options and the availability of certain services during busy periods. Those using self-service checkouts often report long waits due to insufficient staffing, which diminishes the overall shopping efficiency.

Quality of Produce and In-store Experience

Many shoppers appreciate the great produce available at Asda, often highlighting the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. However, there have been numerous complaints regarding the cleanliness of the store, with customers describing it as “dirty” and “unhygienic.” This is particularly concerning given that some individuals have reported receiving expired products.

Customer Service: A Mixed Bag

Feedback about customer service at Asda Clydebank has been decidedly mixed. While several employees have been praised for their helpfulness, others have been criticized for unprofessional behavior. Many customers have recounted unpleasant interactions, particularly at the service desk and during grocery collection, where long wait times and poor communication have led to frustration. Shoppers have even reported feeling unwelcome or accused of inappropriate behavior during their visits.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling

Asda has also made strides in its recycling efforts, aiming to engage customers in sustainable practices. However, some shoppers feel that the overall management of waste in and around the store could be improved, with more bins needed outside to accommodate the volume of customers.

In-Store Pick-Up and Delivery Services

While Asda offers in-store pick-up and delivery services, experiences indicate that these can be hit or miss. Customers have shared frustrations about delays and difficulties in placing orders, particularly during peak shopping hours.

Conclusion: A Store of Potential

The Asda Clydebank Superstore holds tremendous potential as a one-stop shop for many local residents. With improvements in customer service, cleanliness, and efficient staff management, it could significantly enhance the shopper's experience. Despite its challenges, it remains a convenient option for those in Clydebank seeking a comprehensive selection of groceries and household goods.

This Asda is quite dreadful, I must say. The absence of wheelchair trolleys has resulted in my dear mother-in-law having to balance a basket on her lap whilst shopping. Today, there were several wheelchair users resorting to the same practice in the store. My husband took it upon himself to speak to a manager, who informed him that they were awaiting their arrival...four months ago! Yet, here we are, 10 months later, and still no sign of those much-needed wheelchair trolleys. It's truly appalling to witness wheelchair users struggling to balance baskets on their knees at Asda.

I 'ave ordered groceries and I want to add some more bits and bobs to be included in the delivery. But when I try to add to the existing order, it just says 'Amend'. Some items are no longer available! And the price 'as changed on some of 'em! When they show all this without any explanation of what to do, it's a right pain! I rang Asda, waited 15 minutes on the blower but no one answered the phone!! I tried callin' Asda Clydebank, where I'm s'posed to collect me order, but no one picks up and it disconnects itself!! There's no email address, no one to 'elp out in this situation while we're stuck at 'ome! I dunno what to do! Proper bad management, can't be waitin' another 10 days to get me order!!

I simply can't fathom why your supermarket keeps such late opening hours when the pizza counter shuts down at 5 pm on a Friday night! It's absolutely absurd, if you ask me.

My mate and I popped into ASDA around half past six in the morning and were having a gander at the bits and bobs on the upper level, like teddy bears and such, when a staff member from the ground floor came up and told us to put the bear back and get out. This bloke (seemed like a superior) had a right snarky attitude that my mate and I didn't take too kindly to. He was giving us the third degree about what we were doing there and what we were planning to buy. We were thinking of grabbing something on the second floor, but we were so rudely interrupted that we just did as we were told and left. I wouldn't recommend this supermarket, especially the Clydebank branch, with this chap still on the job.

A truly massive store with an extensive selection of items for your everyday or weekly shopping needs. They offer a wide variety of products at very competitive prices, making it a great destination for all your shopping requirements.
Kelly Gutierrez (30/06/2025, 20:47):
This establishment has taken a turn for the worse. It seems as though the management is simply letting it deteriorate until they can close it down for good.

The shelves are mostly bare, there's trash scattered in the aisles, and the floors are unbelievably sticky!
Leonard Cruz (28/06/2025, 20:50):
I popped into Asda last week, and I must say, it was the most dreadful Asda experience I've ever had. The place was an absolute mess, and it seemed like all the staff were playing a game of hide and seek. I've decided that I'll be shopping at Waitrose from now on. Cheers!
Karen Young (26/06/2025, 01:11):
Great supermarket, excellent service from the friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back soon! 👍
Elizabeth Hughes (24/06/2025, 11:53):
Ideal for the weekly grocery run, mate!
Chloe King (23/06/2025, 23:37):
I had a bit of a rough experience at Asda today using the scan and go machine. I was doing my shopping and when it came time to pay, the machine was being a bit slow to scan. When I asked a staff member for help, they rudely told me to do it myself. Then, when one of my items didn't scan properly, they made me rescan my entire order. After repacking my bags, all they could say to a colleague was that they were going to talk to security. When I handed in the key for the mobility scooter and was leaving, the security guard informed me that I wasn't welcome back in the ASDA store in Clydebank because they suspected me of trying to steal, which is completely untrue. This treatment was unacceptable, especially considering my loyalty as a long-time customer. I won't be returning to this store and will be telling my family and friends to shop elsewhere.
Martha Powell (16/06/2025, 11:46):
I reckon they should stock a wider variety of global fruits and veggies and cut back on the pre-made meals. It wouldn't hurt to have more gluten-free choices as well, right?
Shirley Watson (15/06/2025, 22:30):
I must admit, the security guard on duty at 2:45 am on February 2nd, 2025 was an absolute gem. Not only did he greet me warmly at the entrance, but he also kindly returned the change I had left behind. A true legend, I must say.
Ashley Young (13/06/2025, 07:37):
The staff are lovely, there's plenty of parking available, and the store is open 24/7. However, one major letdown at Asda, regardless of the location, is the subpar quality of some of their fruits and vegetables. It really brings down the overall shopping experience.
Betty Taylor (13/06/2025, 02:13):
Today, I went to the supermarket with my daughter and she chose two cream and jam doughnuts. I didn't think much of it until we got home and she went to eat them, only to realize the date on them was the 6th of August. Why was this product still on the shelf at 2:30 pm on the 7th of August? It seems that the staff are not aware of proper stock rotation procedures.
Teresa Jones (06/06/2025, 11:57):
During this challenging time, there is room for improvement in supermarkets, such as managing the number of people entering at once and ensuring the cleanliness of trolleys. It can be quite frustrating when there are only two cleaning stations available. Asda, take note and step up your game!
Maria Flores (03/06/2025, 19:14):
I visited this shop on the 23rd of March in 2019 at around 4:59 pm and impulsively decided to grab a bite at the cafe.

There was only one person working in the cafe, but let me tell you, his service was top-notch.

David Agnew was the man!
Susan Carter (02/06/2025, 02:40):
I received messages yesterday about the prices on the shelves showing one thing, but when I left the store and checked my receipt, the prices were higher. Now I understand why they always ask if you want your receipt. This isn't the first time this has happened.
Barbara King (01/06/2025, 11:33):
What a massive supermarket! They have a wide range of products in stock. Simply extraordinary! Cheers!
Samantha Morales (31/05/2025, 04:56):
This review ain't about the products or staff in the store, mate. I'm giving it one star because this Asda is proper filthy. I don't know what's up with the management, but with a store this big, you'd reckon they'd have 4-5 bins outside. There's only one bin and it's chocka on the side. I've posted a few snaps to show there ain't a single bin in sight and rubbish all over the place. Cheers.
