Morrisons Supermarket in Glasgow: A Mixed Experience

Visiting the Morrisons supermarket in Glasgow can lead to varied experiences. While some customers appreciate the wide offerings of fresh produce and unique amenities, others express dissatisfaction regarding stock availability and customer service. Let's delve into the details.

Accessibility Features

The store is designed with wheelchair-accessible entrances and a wheelchair-accessible car park, making it easier for all customers to navigate. Additionally, there are reports of a wheelchair-accessible toilet, which is a considerate feature for those who need it.

Shopping Environment

Unfortunately, many customers have noted that the aisles can be crowded, especially during peak hours. Some shoppers report having difficulty accessing products due to staff stocking shelves, leading to a chaotic shopping experience. Comments like "most of the shelves reminisce of a zombie apocalypse movie" reflect this sentiment. The continual presence of empty crates and abandoned boxes further adds to the disarray.

Payments and Service Options

Morrisons accepts various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and even NFC mobile payments. However, several reviews indicate long queues at checkout, particularly when only self-service options are available. The lack of staffed checkouts often leads to frustration among customers, especially those with mobility issues or sensory sensitivities.

Food Quality and Offerings

On a positive note, many customers cite the quality of the produce as a highlight. The store offers a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, a bakery with great items, and even a salad bar that has garnered positive reviews. However, consistent complaints arise about the availability of certain lines, with claims of frequent stockouts on popular items. One shopper mentioned the desire for specific packaged items that remain elusive.

Community Engagement and Inclusivity

Morrisons aims to create an inclusive environment, earning praise for being LGBTQ+ friendly and providing a transgender safe space. This effort contributes to a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Delivery and Pick-Up Options

For those who prefer less exposure in-store, Morrisons offers no-contact delivery and in-store pick-up options. However, feedback indicates that the coordination for these services may need improvement, with reports of delays and poor communication.

Recycling and Environmental Considerations

The store has made strides towards environmental responsibility, offering recycling options for plastic bags and encouraging sustainable practices. However, some customers wish the store would enhance its efforts in this area.

Conclusion

In summary, while Morrisons in Glasgow provides a range of quality food options and features aimed at accessibility, significant improvements are needed in customer service and stock management to elevate the shopping experience. Regular shoppers express hope for enhanced service and more reliable stocking systems in the near future.

Absolutely dreadful. The experience of waiting in line outside was just going through the motions, with the 1 in 1 out rule not being enforced properly leading to chaos once inside the store! Today, the supermarket resembled a bustling summer Saturday, completely disregarding social distancing measures. Furthermore, the stock levels were appalling. I fear that today's visit may have been my final one to this specific store. 😕
Heather Ford (17/07/2025, 17:04):
The store is fully stocked, and the staff is quite helpful and friendly, I must say.
Abigail Martin (14/07/2025, 21:17):
If you 'ave a Morrisons more card and purchase products that are supposed to give ya points, make sure those points actually get added. They 'ave a tendency to update the shelves but forget about the tills. Their solution is to ring 'ead office to get the points sorted, but 'ead office is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, and that's only if they even pick up the phone. It's a dismal situation when even the staff acknowledge this issue.
Joan Walker (13/07/2025, 05:52):
The staff ought to understand the concept of the express lane for less than 10 items and not justify allowing a customer with a big shopping list. It's been mentioned to them before, so there's no excuse for this recurring issue.
Margaret Johnson (13/07/2025, 01:52):
The new layout is a splendid improvement, mate. They're putting in the effort to keep up with the times and it's paying off. However, it's evident that they're facing some supply challenges. It looks like things haven't changed much as we roll into February 2023.
Melissa Ward (12/07/2025, 05:46):
Today's trip to the supermarket was a brief one to pick up a few items. When I swung by the floral section, there was a sign saying they were on a break. Despite making a few purchases, the florist was still not back at the counter. I had a chat with a staff member at the tobacco counter, and they managed to track down the florist, allowing me to finally buy what I needed.

The service can be a bit hit or miss at times, as the staff seem quite busy. I would suggest bringing in some more dynamic and attentive individuals for the self-checkout, as they tend to overlook customers and ignore the lights. The prices are fairly reasonable, but the availability of certain items can be inconsistent.
Roger Howard (09/07/2025, 19:28):
This shopping centre is absolutely brilliant, with a wide variety of food items, including wines, soft drinks, and spirits. Additionally, there's a great selection of non-food items as well.
Michelle Walker (07/07/2025, 09:51):
I popped into the supermarket at 9 a.m. on Saturday only to discover that the shelves were quite bare (as per usual) and there was no one restocking them. The staff, bless their hearts, were as lovely and accommodating as ever, which is truly valued, particularly during these challenging times. It's just a shame that management seems to be dropping the ball.

The manager on duty was quite professional when I had to address an issue with one of the café workers, sadly. This is actually the first time I've encountered rudeness from a Morrison's worker; they typically display top-notch customer service skills. Apart from that, all the staff and managers are cheerful and helpful, although they do seem pretty tired from their hard work. They always make time for a chat and have a friendly demeanor. I trust that the café employee in question learns from their colleagues' example. Special thanks to the manager; I have the utmost respect for them.

A remarkable assortment of groceries, apparel, and household items awaits at Supermarket. The capacious parking lot includes spaces for disabled customers, yet during rainfall, the drains behind these spots are perpetually clogged. Navigating through this watery obstacle course to return your shopping cart can feel like wading through a river!
Richard Reynolds (28/06/2025, 20:44):
This shop is where I do my regular weekly shopping. However, on my last trip, I had to submit a formal complaint regarding 2 staff members, including one from management. I trust that the matter will be addressed promptly and professionally. Only time will tell.
Paul Barnes (22/06/2025, 23:48):
When you visit the petrol station, there are numerous pumps available, so you don't have to wait in a queue. However, it can get quite busy in the mornings since the shop is small. The petrol station offers three air pump services, two car hoover services, and one car wash service. It's also conveniently located next to a Morrison supermarket. Overall, it seems like a good choice considering the range of services provided.
Ronald Roberts (20/06/2025, 15:38):
The self-service system was simple to navigate and the food was delivered swiftly.
The dishes were well-prepared and delicious.
I will definitely be returning for another meal.
Christian Kelly (18/06/2025, 16:29):
Well, I must say, the prices at this Supermarket are quite exorbitant, especially for someone on a pension like myself. And to make matters worse, I couldn't help but notice that some of the shelves were looking rather sparse. It left me wondering if perhaps they haven't settled their bills with the suppliers, or simply can't be bothered to hire staff to restock the shelves. Quite disappointing, I must say.
Riley Fisher (16/06/2025, 20:30):
I must say, my experience shopping at Lynsifield today, on the 28th of May, was quite dreadful. The queues at the tills were stretching up the aisle, with only two tills open. It seemed like complaints were being ignored, as if it was a management decision. It's disappointing to see that they don't seem to value their loyal customers.
Megan Long (16/06/2025, 07:32):
I do say, one must comment solely on the breakfast offerings at this quaint cafe. The tables were left in a rather unclean state, with a noticeable layer of grease and not a wipe in sight. As for the fare itself, it can only be described as basic in quality and barely warm. To top it off, the service was quite hostile, I must say.
Mary Alexander (15/06/2025, 10:05):
Outstanding service with top-notch quality!
Juan Gomez (13/06/2025, 17:26):
The bakery offers a splendid variety of freshly baked bread and pastries, and I particularly enjoy the selection of fresh vegetables and fruits available.
Riley Taylor (12/06/2025, 06:21):
What a bloody circus! No social distancing whatsoever. The little ones given free rein to roam about. Can you imagine? And then there are 6 or 7 blokes just loafing around at the entrance, not a care in the world, while the queues at the tills and self-checkouts grow longer by the minute. It's like this store couldn't give two hoots about Covid rules and regulations, apart from the half-hearted attempt of some staff wearing face masks. Outrageous, I say.
