Accessibility Features
The supermarket prides itself on accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible car park and toilets. Shoppers can feel reassured knowing there's a wheelchair-accessible toilet available for their convenience. However, some customers have highlighted issues with staff availability in certain parts of the store, particularly in areas like the cafe and petrol station.
Shopping Experience
Many shoppers rave about the great produce available at Morrisons, from fresh fruits and vegetables to quality meats at the butchery. The spacious aisles allow for easy navigation, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience, especially during peak hours when the crowd can be overwhelming. Despite these positives, a few customers have expressed dissatisfaction with long wait times at checkout or for in-store services, noting instances where cashiers seemed rushed.
Cafe and Service Options
The Morrisons cafe offers a variety of meals, but customer experiences vary greatly. While some patrons enjoy their meals and appreciate the friendly service, others report extended wait times and issues with food quality. For instance, a customer mentioned a 45-minute wait for a breakfast that arrived cold, highlighting inconsistent service. The cafe environment could improve as well; while it serves as a gathering spot, cleanliness and timely service have been points of contention among visitors.
Payment Methods and Offers
Morrisons accepts various payment methods including debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments, making transactions quick and easy. Regular offers and promotions are frequent, catering to budget-conscious shoppers. However, some customers have voiced concerns about discrepancies between in-store prices and sales advertised online.
Environment and Community Initiatives
An often-discussed aspect of Morrisons is its commitment to the environment, with various recycling options available in-store, such as for batteries and plastic bags. Additionally, the supermarket has been noted for being LGBTQ+ friendly, aiming to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Conclusion: Highlights and Areas for Improvement
While Morrisons in Livingston boasts a fantastic selection of products, amenities, and generally friendly staff, there are clear areas that require attention. Improved staffing levels, particularly in the cafe and service points, could enhance the overall shopping experience. Customers appreciate the thoughtfulness of some staff members who go above and beyond, yet consistent service is crucial for maintaining customer loyalty.
In summary, Morrisons remains a favorite for many due to its vast range of offerings and community spirit. Continuous feedback from customers can help shape an even better shopping experience for everyone who walks through its doors.

The Cafe is a bit of a mess and could use a good tidy up. The plastic partitions are covered in smudges and fingerprints, the tables are dirty, there are no teaspoons, the plates were not cleaned properly, and the chips were undercooked.
Randy Sullivan (30/08/2025, 20:19):
Absolutely splendid prices, loads of room for proper social distancing, masks galore, hand sanitizer every few steps, and the seafood and vegetables are as fresh as can be. It's quite embarrassing to admit, but this particular supermarket has really won me over.
*Update* A year and a half later and this livi supermarket is still at the top of my list. It offers everything I need without feeling like I'm navigating an airplane hangar, and I can easily grab fresh produce, complete my purchase, and be on my way in a matter of minutes.

Purchasing just a handful of items turned out to be quite a frustrating ordeal. I opted for the self-service checkout, but it struggled to detect the weight of the very light items I placed in the bagging area. Initially, there were no employees nearby to assist, and when they finally did attend to me, I was overlooked for a good 10 minutes as they tended to customers who had arrived after me.
Sarah Graham (27/08/2025, 22:33):
I must say, my shopping experience has been absolutely splendid at this Supermarket. There's ample parking space available, convenient toilets, a cozy cafe, and a well-stocked pharmacy. The opening hours are quite generous, allowing for flexibility in visiting. The prices are reasonable, and the selection of products is impressive. I appreciate the self-service and regular checkout options. The staff is always helpful and friendly, which makes a big difference. Plus, having Inpost and Amazon lockers on site is a huge convenience. And let's not forget the large petrol station – they usually offer the cheapest fuel around. A top-notch supermarket, indeed!
Alan Morgan (27/08/2025, 13:19):
Massive Morrisons grocery store with an extensive selection of goods available. The shop has undergone a recent refurbishment, giving it a more modern appearance and a sense of increased space. There is a vast fresh fruit and vegetable area and a diverse range of bakery items to choose from.
Grace Edwards (27/08/2025, 08:33):
After waiting for what felt like an eternity, about 30 to 40 minutes after my click and collect order was confirmed, I finally decided to switch to home delivery. To my dismay, the service still managed to disappoint. I ended up having to make a trip to the corner shop just to get some washing up liquid because, believe it or not, they claimed there wasn't any in the entire store. This situation reminded me of the last time when there was a scarcity of cat food throughout the store as well.
Frustrated, I called the customer service line from the car park to follow up on my (delayed) click and collect order, but even they struggled to get a response from the store's phone. These recurring issues can only be attributed to lackadaisical staff and ineffective management. I've now decided that I won't be placing any future orders with them. I previously reached out to Head Office to voice my concerns, but alas, have yet to receive any response.
Philip Hall (26/08/2025, 08:00):
Yet again, we had to take the trolley to the customer service desk to reclaim money for an item that was not priced correctly at checkout. While it was easy to get a refund, this seems to be happening more frequently. It's all fine to see items discounted on the shelves, enticing you to make a purchase, only to realize you're charged full price at checkout. This is worrying, especially for older customers who may not thoroughly review their final bill.
Victoria Simmons (25/08/2025, 18:36):
We were waiting for our food for more than half an hour today on Saturday, even though it stated a 10-15 minute wait time. When it finally arrived, it was cold. We had to request the staff to reheat it – not a pleasant experience. It seems they prioritized serving Just Eat orders over customers present at the supermarket. Disappointing service overall. We won't be returning.
Russell Miller (25/08/2025, 04:46):
I recently found myself falsely accused of theft after my daily lunchtime shopping at Morrisons. As two young ladies, we felt quite uncomfortable and targeted. Despite the lack of evidence, the security guard initially insisted on our guilt. However, upon questioning his observations, he quickly changed his tune. We went from being banned to welcomed back. I believe it is unacceptable to mistreat young customers who are loyal and spend their money at the store.
Willie Perry (24/08/2025, 15:13):
Went to the cafe for breakfast. Waited 45 minutes to be served a breakfast that was completely cold. The only thing that was warm were the beans, and that's only because they were nuked in the microwave for too long. Definitely won't be returning, easily the worst breakfast experience I've ever had 🤮🤬🤬 …
Denise Taylor (21/08/2025, 09:13):
The cafe was absolutely freezing, mate! But let me tell you, the fish and chips were top-notch. And the young lady who looked after me was an absolute gem – super helpful and lovely. Cheers!
Christopher James (17/08/2025, 07:24):
Great Shop, with a fantastic view of a well-designed Gas station. The Gas station also offers reasonably priced and efficiently managed LPG, a service that Morrisons excels in nationwide.
Angela Powell (14/08/2025, 04:22):
I absolutely adore shopping at Morrisons, but my recent experience at the Bathgate store left me feeling a bit disappointed. When I inquired about the NHS discount at the checkout, the young lady working there seemed rather unfriendly. It was my first time using this discount, and her lack of manners really let the whole store down.
Bruce Watson (13/08/2025, 21:48):
The selection of food and items at this supermarket is top-notch, and I must say I never have trouble finding what I need.
While I do enjoy supporting smaller, local businesses for certain goods, the butcher's and fishmonger's sections at Morrison's have been incredibly convenient and offer high-quality produce.
The prices are fair as well, and even though I typically lean towards ALDI, I find that Morrisons has a wider variety to choose from.
Chloe Ramos (12/08/2025, 21:03):
Great outcome with an item I forgot at the store a week ago. Got a refund and bought it again without any trouble, although I remembered it being set aside so it wasn't a problem. Fantastic customer service!
Dorothy Young (11/08/2025, 14:13):
Great supermarket.
I always pop in for the Smoked Cod Loin at the fresh fish counter, it's top-notch.
The Deli, bakery, and meat sections are quality.
The aisles are well spaced out so you can keep your distance from other shoppers.
You hardly ever have to wait in long queues at the checkouts.
They even sell cheap fuel, including LPG.
Jeffrey Edwards (10/08/2025, 08:13):
It appears rather ordinary, with the typical COVID safety measures in place such as queuing during peak hours and hand sanitizers available at different locations. However, the inventory levels seem adequate and the majority of the staff members are cheerful and friendly.
Diana Butler (09/08/2025, 03:59):
I don't frequent Morrisons as much these days, but when I do, I quite enjoy it.
Nancy Gonzalez (08/08/2025, 20:07):
The staff at this supermarket are absolutely brilliant - always there to help you find what you need in a convenient location. They are really approachable when it comes to questions about food or home goods!
Victoria Robinson (08/08/2025, 15:34):
Stopped by this place yesterday. Made a purchase that wasn't recognized by the self-service checkout, so I raised my hand for assistance only to be rudely shouted at by a staff member on their lunch break! Eventually, another staff member came over and asked me, "What's wrong?" in a brusque manner before telling me to "stand back." I was wearing a mask. Doubt I'll be returning here anytime soon.
