Morrisons Supermarket in Peterhead: A Comprehensive Overview

Morrisons Supermarket located in Peterhead offers a wide range of amenities and offerings to cater to the diverse needs of its customers. From fresh produce to clothing selections, this store aims to be a one-stop shop for all your shopping requirements.

Accessibility and Service Options

Accessibility is a key aspect, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park available for those needing assistance. Additionally, they provide wheelchair-accessible toilets, ensuring that all customers feel comfortable during their visit. The supermarket also promotes a transgender safe space, advocating inclusivity within the community.

Shopping Experience and Customer Feedback

The shopping experience can vary significantly at Morrisons. While some customers appreciate the great produce and a diverse selection of foods, others have expressed disappointment, particularly with home delivery services. Comments such as "Home delivery foods becoming a disgrace" highlight the need for improved quality control, especially regarding rotten vegetables. Customers mention the difficulty in inspecting produce upon delivery, leading to concerns about trust in the service.

Payment Methods

Payments at Morrisons are convenient, accepting both credit cards and debit cards. They also offer NFC mobile payments, facilitating quick transactions for those on the go. Many customers value the option of in-store pick-up, adding to the flexibility of their shopping experience.

Dining Options and Cafeteria Review

The onsite café provides various meal options, though experiences vary. Some reviews praise the quality and pricing of the meals, while others express dissatisfaction with food quality and service delays. One patron noted, "The café serves one of the worst quality 'big Scottish breakfasts' I have ever experienced." Despite these criticisms, many customers appreciate having a place to grab a quick bite during their shopping trips.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling Facilities

Morrisons promotes sustainability with recycling facilities for glass bottles and a focus on reducing plastic waste. However, customers have suggested improvements, including better management of plastic packaging around fruits and vegetables to avoid spoilage.

Highlights and Areas for Improvement

Some highlights of the Morrisons experience include:

  • Diverse range of products, including international foods
  • Friendly staff willing to assist customers
  • Availability of batteries and household essentials

Nonetheless, there are areas requiring attention, particularly:

  • Car park condition, which has been described as an "assault course" by dissatisfied shoppers
  • Staff behavior, with reports of rudeness affecting customer experiences
  • Management of the café area and food quality inconsistency

Conclusion

Overall, while Morrisons in Peterhead presents numerous benefits, including a friendly atmosphere and a broad selection of products, customer feedback highlights critical areas needing improvement. Christopher Harris (27/06/2025, 02:47):
No one is serving at the cold meat and butcher counter. This seems to be occurring more frequently during shopping trips.
Arthur Stewart (26/06/2025, 13:17):
A splendid spot to procure your daily necessities, with a handy locale and top-notch customer service. However, it must be noted that the prices at Morrison's tend to be on the steeper side when juxtaposed with the likes of Home Bargains, Aldi, or Lidl.
Rachel Ramos (22/06/2025, 09:56):
Quite disorganised with a lack of clear social distancing measures in place. There were rowdy customers, some of whom were not wearing masks. The quality of the fruit and vegetables was rather disappointing, with some greens being discounted but in poor condition, not suitable for display even at a reduced price.
Adam Adams (21/06/2025, 22:13):
Had everything I required, staff were extremely friendly. I'm just passing through this area and I truly wish the staff in some of the stores back in Fife were as accommodating.
Nancy Gomez (21/06/2025, 11:34):
The staff at this supermarket are always so polite and helpful, it's quite refreshing. And let me tell you, the butcher's meat from Peterhead is simply top-notch. Highly recommend!
Joseph Murphy (20/06/2025, 11:06):
It was quite chaotic at the supermarket today, not the best shopping vibe. People were pushing past each other and many were not wearing masks. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon 😞 Apologies, Morrisons...
Lawrence Garcia (19/06/2025, 21:51):
Excellent selection of products, top-notch customer service, but it's high time we cut back on the excessive plastic packaging. Neeps have tough skins and certainly don't need to be suffocated in heavy-duty plastic. My elderly father-in-law nearly lost a finger trying to wrestle it off! And those soggy carrots and potatoes? They're quick to turn moldy thanks to being sealed up airtight. Let's address the excessive plastic waste issue pronto.
Layla Torres (19/06/2025, 20:56):
This is a great way to keep your freezer stocked with meat.
Amanda Garcia (19/06/2025, 18:51):
I must say, I was quite puzzled by the recent rearrangement at Morrison's in Peterhead. I can't fathom the rationale behind the new layout. I'm confident I'm not alone in my sentiment when I suggest restoring it to its former arrangement. It seems they may be losing potential sales, as I myself have left with fewer items than intended. Frankly, unless there's a reversal of these changes, I doubt I'll return for further shopping trips.
Jack Ross (17/06/2025, 04:28):
Not too shabby when it comes to pricing! They offer a good variety of products. Personally, I must say I quite fancy their meat and produce selection.
Alice Cruz (15/06/2025, 01:40):
I purchased some tasty chicken thighs for my son's birthday party and family gathering. I also picked up a large chocolate cake for the birthday celebration. For dessert, I decided on a delicious lemon cheesecake that looks absolutely scrumptious. It was convenient to find everything I needed all in one place, which was fantastic.
Louis Smith (13/06/2025, 13:24):
Pringles for £2.25? Most others are only £1.99. And Hula Hoop Puffs at £2.25? Home Bargains has them for just £1.45. Morrisons must think they can get away with robbing us!
Kyle Butler (11/06/2025, 12:22):
The Central Peterhead superstore is rather splendid, although it can feel a bit cramped when it's bustling with shoppers. Nonetheless, the array of goods is neatly displayed and consistently fresh. The queues at the checkout can be quite long. The café is rather pleasant, offering a delightful selection of high-quality treats.
Andrew Henderson (09/06/2025, 15:09):
I must say, the transformation at Morrisons is quite remarkable. I absolutely adore the revamped store, and their breakfast offerings are simply superb. I highly suggest you give it a try – it's simply delicious!
Aaron Morris (09/06/2025, 02:14):
Supermarket is an amazing spot to grab your groceries, top-notch food quality. I'd rate it 4 stars only because the last time I went I noticed the tofu was frozen (and you can't freeze it). They have a wide variety of products for vegans :D. The customer service is friendly and the prices are reasonable.
