Understanding the Challenges at Dickson Chemist in Glasgow

Located in Tollcross, Dickson Chemist is a pharmacy that has drawn attention for both its services and the feedback from customers. While many appreciate the friendly staff, there have been numerous complaints regarding the delivery and prescription service.

Customer Service Issues

A common thread in reviews is the urgent need for customer service training. Many customers report experiences where staff members were not only unhelpful but also displayed abusive behavior. It's concerning when customers feel insulted or dismissed, leading to overall dissatisfaction. For those relying on pharmacies for their health needs, responsive customer service is crucial.

Delivery and Payment Concerns

The delivery service offered by Dickson Chemist has been described as unreliable. Customers have expressed frustration over lengthy wait times for prescriptions. In some instances, patients reported that medications, which were supposed to be delivered, have either been delayed or not sent at all. This becomes especially critical for individuals who depend on their medication due to health challenges. Furthermore, while the pharmacy promotes a convenient letterbox delivery service, inconsistencies have led to confusion and additional stress for customers trying to access their medications.

Planning for Prescription Needs

For patients managing chronic conditions, planning is essential. Reviews indicate that many customers often find themselves without vital medications due to miscommunication about repeat prescriptions. Some have had to chase down prescriptions that should have been managed automatically, highlighting a significant gap in service efficiency.

Service Options and Customer Feedback

Despite the negative experiences shared by several customers, it's important to note that there are positive comments as well. Some individuals commend the pharmacy for its ability to source difficult-to-find medications and for friendly interactions with staff. However, the inconsistent experiences raise concerns about reliability and trust in the service options provided.

Conclusion: A Call for Improvement

As Dickson Chemist continues to serve the community in Glasgow, it faces pressing challenges regarding payments, ordering processes, and overall service quality. Customers expect a pharmacy not just to dispense medication but to provide a reliable and respectful service. To improve their reputation, addressing the customer service issues and ensuring timely deliveries will be crucial moving forward.

Ashley is a complete rubbish storyteller, she says she's the shop boss, who knows if that's true, I have no clue. She told me her delivery person swung by my doc's place to get my meds and they weren't there, but when I checked with my doc, turns out they'd been ready for 2 days already. The last three times, I've had to cut my meds in half 'cause my prescription was delayed. If there's another pharmacy nearby, I reckon you'd be better off going there instead.

The staff was so helpful, they had everything I needed, and I was in and out in no time.

Absolutely dreadful experience, mate. I placed an order for 2 prescription medicines with this Pharmacy blokes, and it's been nearly 2 weeks but still no sign of them. The Royal Mail tracking is as useful as a chocolate teapot, showing no info for over a week. Been ringing 'em up multiple times, but no bugger wants to take responsibility. They had the cheek to tell me to call Royal Mail, who won't even have a chinwag with me 'cause I'm the customer they're supposed to be sending the items to! Me prescriptions are either lost in the ether or never even got sent. What on earth am I supposed to do now? I'm proper in need of those meds, and I'm all out since I thought allowing 10 days was more than enough time. Being a cancer patient, I could do without this stress added to me plate.
