Asda Clydebank Superstore: A Comprehensive Overview

Located in the heart of Clydebank, the Asda Clydebank Superstore offers a broad range of offerings that cater to the diverse shopping needs of its customers. However, feedback from shoppers suggests that the experience can vary widely depending on the time of visit and service received.

Shopping Convenience and Accessibility

With ample parking, including a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, Asda aims to ensure accessibility for all patrons. However, many shoppers have noted that free parking can be difficult to find during peak times, leading to frustration when attempting a quick visit.

Payment Options and Services

At Asda, various payment options are available, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the lack of no-contact delivery options and the availability of certain services during busy periods. Those using self-service checkouts often report long waits due to insufficient staffing, which diminishes the overall shopping efficiency.

Quality of Produce and In-store Experience

Many shoppers appreciate the great produce available at Asda, often highlighting the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. However, there have been numerous complaints regarding the cleanliness of the store, with customers describing it as “dirty” and “unhygienic.” This is particularly concerning given that some individuals have reported receiving expired products.

Customer Service: A Mixed Bag

Feedback about customer service at Asda Clydebank has been decidedly mixed. While several employees have been praised for their helpfulness, others have been criticized for unprofessional behavior. Many customers have recounted unpleasant interactions, particularly at the service desk and during grocery collection, where long wait times and poor communication have led to frustration. Shoppers have even reported feeling unwelcome or accused of inappropriate behavior during their visits.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling

Asda has also made strides in its recycling efforts, aiming to engage customers in sustainable practices. However, some shoppers feel that the overall management of waste in and around the store could be improved, with more bins needed outside to accommodate the volume of customers.

In-Store Pick-Up and Delivery Services

While Asda offers in-store pick-up and delivery services, experiences indicate that these can be hit or miss. Customers have shared frustrations about delays and difficulties in placing orders, particularly during peak shopping hours.

Conclusion: A Store of Potential

The Asda Clydebank Superstore holds tremendous potential as a one-stop shop for many local residents. With improvements in customer service, cleanliness, and efficient staff management, it could significantly enhance the shopper's experience. Despite its challenges, it remains a convenient option for those in Clydebank seeking a comprehensive selection of groceries and household goods.

I used to do all my shopping at this place, but there's always a lack of stock and prices have doubled in the past year. The door on the meat fridge has been broken for months now, and I refuse to purchase warm ham. The whole situation is quite basic, so who knows what's happening behind the scenes.
Nicole Coleman (30/08/2025, 22:33):
One can clearly see that this supermarket has changed ownership, as some price increases are quite evident. I only stopped by today because I was in the area, but I won't be returning. With Tesco, at least I earn points and can take advantage of discounts through Clubcard deals. I left with less than a quarter of what I would usually purchase, and ended up going to Tesco for the rest.

If you're keen on experiencing a taste of chaos, do pay a visit to Asda Clydebank. This entrance to the underworld is inhabited by the living dead and various forms of zombies. And that's just the employees. If you enjoy challenges, I would highly suggest this dreadful place for your weekly shopping trip.
Jose Henderson (30/08/2025, 03:39):
It can get quite busy at times. I would recommend visiting early on a Sunday morning for a more pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and always ready to assist.
Cheryl Peterson (28/08/2025, 21:30):
I must say, the personnel and security staff at this establishment are quite lacking in professionalism. I was utterly shocked when they unjustly accused me, a long-standing customer, of shoplifting. I've been frequenting this store for years! I've decided to escalate this issue to the head office and spread the word on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, I will be reaching out to my local representatives and even consider involving the media. The only manager available to address the situation was an online trading manager, who, frankly, seemed ill-equipped to handle such matters. I sincerely hope that appropriate measures are taken in response to this incident, as I am determined to see justice served and ensure that no one else experiences this kind of treatment.
Jesse Young (27/08/2025, 14:29):
In my humble opinion, compared to other stores, it can be a tad messy... but still, not too shabby!
Zachary Long (23/08/2025, 07:29):
The staff at this Supermarket are incredibly friendly and helpful. Just like any other Asda, you can find everything you need here. The prices and promotions are great too.

However, it can be a bit of a challenge to find a parking spot during weekends or busy times. Additionally, they do not accept contactless payment or Android Pay, which can be a downside for some customers.
Jason Kelly (22/08/2025, 08:41):
I had a terrible experience at this supermarket. As soon as I entered, I observed around 15 individuals handling fruits and vegetables without wearing masks, and carelessly putting them back. There was no social distancing in place, and the staff didn't seem to be bothered by this lack of safety measures. I promptly turned around and left, and I do not plan on returning. The Asda in Dumbarton is much more organized and follows regulations closely.
Angela Green (20/08/2025, 05:47):
What a complete mess if you're needing to collect groceries or parcels. The collections are meant to be "contactless", which is crucial for those who are vulnerable. The collection spot is located at the exit door, with no room to line up and maintain the proper distance from customers leaving the store. You have to maneuver through the shops and checkout lanes to reach it, and you might need to touch a screen without any hand sanitizer nearby. I gave it a go both during the daytime and late evening. Won't be returning, that's for sure.
Ruth Kim (18/08/2025, 08:40):
A terribly filthy and unsanitary shop. The employees are exceedingly unwelcoming, sporting "Happy to help" on their uniforms despite the stark contrast in their actual behavior - especially at the checkout. It seems like these same individuals have been there for ages, consistently displaying hostility. After perusing the feedback here, it appears that I'm not the only one who has encountered their uncooperativeness. Perhaps the staff are chums with the managers, which might explain their extensive tenure. It could be time to swap out the subpar employees for individuals who truly enhance the store's reputation. Go mystery shoppers!
Philip Cruz (17/08/2025, 19:26):
We've never been a fan of this supermarket, and today's trip was no different. We ended up heading to Aldi to pick up what we couldn't find here. Quite frustrating, really.
Frank Ross (13/08/2025, 10:39):
The staff at this supermarket are absolutely lovely, always ready to lend a hand whether you're browsing the aisles or at the checkout. They're more than happy to assist customers who might be a bit puzzled by product prices or the store's new layout adjustments during the Covid-19 pandemic. The range of products and services they offer is fantastic, and the store itself is spacious and ideal for a leisurely shopping experience. Cheers to a top-notch supermarket!
Brittany Graham (12/08/2025, 22:03):
What a fantastic biiiig shop, with plenty of parking and absolutely everything you could need inside!
Donald Clark (11/08/2025, 07:49):
This asda is massive, with a wide variety of options and great deals. The clothing and home departments frequently have discounted items, making it easy to score a great deal. While Iceland may offer lower prices on frozen goods, this supermarket is ideal for a convenient one-stop shopping experience. Additionally, its proximity to the cinema allows you to grab some snacks before catching a film.
Bruce Howard (10/08/2025, 08:04):
The staff at this supermarket are incredibly helpful, with a strong focus on cleanliness and respect for customers. The prices are very reasonable and offer good discounts. Absolutely fantastic!
Karen Patterson (10/08/2025, 00:22):
Yesterday, an employee at Asda scolded me for not wearing my mask properly. Due to my asthma, I struggle to breathe with it on, so I had it under my nose. I briefly removed it to catch my breath when no one was nearby, and the disdainful look she gave me as she walked out of the aisle without maintaining a two-meter distance was quite off-putting. When I returned today, I made sure to keep my mask on throughout the store. However, when I momentarily adjusted it, she rudely instructed me to put it back on. I believe this is not an acceptable way to address a customer.
Donna Green (07/08/2025, 06:11):
I've been shopping at Asda Clydebank for years, mate. I usually pop in during the morning when it's not too packed. The staff are dead friendly and helpful...the store has a chilled-out vibe and I always manage to find what I need. Would definitely recommend it. Cheers!
Gerald Rivera (04/08/2025, 19:31):
At this hour of the night (10pm), it's usually calm enough to navigate without risking getting rammed by shopping carts.
Ethan Moore (03/08/2025, 22:32):
I've been waiting for hours and I booked 3 slots only to be told that my slots have been taken. You've wasted my time. - Margaret Halpin
Virginia Wright (03/08/2025, 03:14):
This Asda is alright, but it's not top-notch, you know? It seems like the layout was done by a designer who couldn't see a thing!
Once you finally locate what you're after, the products are decent and the staff are quite friendly. However, the outside area is a bit chaotic and could use either more bins or some folks to keep it tidy.
No doubt, it's better than the Asda in Ardrossan, that's for sure.
