Exploring Morrisons Supermarket in Glasgow: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

Morrisons, a well-known supermarket chain in the UK, has been a staple for locals in Glasgow. However, recent feedback indicates a downturn in certain aspects of its service and offerings. From clothing to food, let's delve into the highlights and challenges faced by this supermarket.

Store Layout and Accessibility

One consistent theme among customers is the curious layout of the store. Many shoppers find it challenging to navigate through the aisles, noting that some areas feel cramped due to narrow paths. Moreover, the wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible toilet are critical for ensuring that all customers can shop comfortably, but improvements are still needed.

Product Availability and Quality

Despite being praised for their great produce, several comments highlight persistent issues with empty shelves. Customers express frustration over the lack of stocked items, especially at peak shopping times. It seems that while some areas like the salad bar are consistently fresh, staples in other sections often run low.

Payments and Customer Service Challenges

The checkout experience at Morrisons has garnered mixed reviews. Some customers have encountered problems with payments, specifically with credit cards and debit cards not processing correctly. There are complaints about the customer service team's responsiveness, particularly when it comes to resolving payment issues or acknowledging customer queries.

Inclusivity and Friendly Environment

Morrisons has made strides in creating an LGBTQ+ friendly atmosphere, offering a transgender safe space within its stores. This commitment to inclusivity is commendable, yet there are reports of staff interactions that sometimes detract from the overall customer experience.

Amenities and Additional Services

This supermarket also offers a range of service options including a pharmacy and facilities for recycling glass bottles. The availability of NFC mobile payments and no-contact delivery options enhances convenience for tech-savvy shoppers.

Delivery and In-Store Options

While many appreciate the option for in-store pick-up, the delivery service has faced criticism due to inconsistent stock levels and delays. Shoppers looking for a quick visit sometimes leave frustrated if their items are unavailable.

Conclusion: A Call for Improvement

In conclusion, while Morrisons in Glasgow holds potential with its diverse offerings and community-oriented services, a noticeable decline in product availability and customer service creates a precarious situation. With proper management and attention to customer feedback, this supermarket can reclaim its reputation as a favorite local shopping destination.

I had to pop into the supermarket for a few odds and ends on Wednesday. Can you believe there was only one person at the checkout? Absolutely disgraceful.

My family usually pops by this place later on, around 8 o'clock, and there's hardly any cashiers available. It's just one person (with only one checkout lane) placing their items on the conveyor belt while there's a long line forming behind them! It would be so much better if they could just open up another register. The cafe food doesn't taste too great either. I tried the lasagna and it looked quite odd and strange. It was probably just heated up in the microwave. The fish dish might be the only thing that's actually cooked in the kitchen. However, the grocery prices are pretty decent.

Alright, mate. The car park is massive and it's free of charge. Plenty of room for cars, vans, and trucks, easy to get in and out. Plus, there's free toilet facilities available. And if you fancy a bite to eat, they've got a bar and restaurant on-site. Cheers!

Absolutely chuffed with the cracking local supermarket just down the road. The staff are proper helpful and knowledgeable - big shoutout to the lasses in the garage for keeping me off the fags! ❤️😁💪🏼...

Just popped down to the supermarket for the weekly shop and noticed they've got everything I need, including a handy petrol station right outside. Exciting news - they're now offering phone screen replacements in-store and even have their own pharmacy! The only downside is that they don't have any electric car charging points outside.

The Morrisons Baillieston store is our go-to spot. It's a great shop with helpful staff, but the real gem is the tearoom. The team there is fantastic and serves up delicious, freshly cooked food. I highly recommend trying their breakfasts - they're top-notch!
Dylan Bennett (23/05/2025, 16:28):
Oh blimey, this coffee shop is a proper shambles. They've got posters up everywhere for their Christmas menu but not a sausage to show for it. The utensils are absolutely filthy, I had to rummage through a mountain of rubbish just to find a decent fork and knife. What a right kerfuffle!
Shirley Hall (21/05/2025, 19:40):
I prefer visiting this supermarket over my local one. It has more parking spaces, well-stocked shelves, and is much more organized and cleaner.
Keith Garcia (20/05/2025, 23:04):
Supermarket has an advantage over Tesco and Asda with its ample disabled parking spaces, which is a great benefit for my husband and me. The variety of menus offered at their cafe/restaurant is impressive, and the fact that children eat for free all day as long as accompanied by an adult is fantastic. Not only are their supermarket prices becoming more competitive, but they also offer a diverse selection of foods.
Emma Graham (20/05/2025, 09:30):
This store is absolutely brilliant. The staff and management are incredibly helpful. It's a fantastic spot for a delightful breakfast. Cheers!
Nathan Murphy (16/05/2025, 16:11):
I work in social care, and the individual I support enjoys coming to this place for lunch - it's convenient as it's within walking distance for them.
Christopher Jackson (15/05/2025, 23:04):
Just popped into Morrisons for a wee shopping trip, grabbed some goodies. The staff member at the till was friendly and chatty. Can't forget to mention the toilets 🚻 were clean and fresh. Thanks to all the staff for a great shopping experience!
