Harold Reyes (09/07/2025, 21:08):
The customer service was absolutely dreadful, I must say. I brought some pans to the checkout counter that were marked down from £40 to £20, and the lady at the register insisted there had been a mistake and that they should actually be £40, reduced from £60. I had taken a snapshot of the shelf where they were displayed, clearly showing the price as £40 down to £20, which also matched the online price. A staff member essentially accused me of fabricating the situation, went to check the shelf, and still maintained that it should be £40. I have made up my mind - I shan't be returning to shop here again.

It's crystal clear that this emporium is hitting the nail on the head more and more as time goes by. I'm quite keen on shopping there. The team members are all courteous, helpful, and amiable. The employees at the kiosk are some of the friendliest and most helpful you'll come across in any retail setting, they truly go above and beyond to assist.

The store offers a vast selection of products at fantastic prices. There are often some unbelievable deals. The layout of the store is well organized. The quality and freshness of the food, especially the vegetables, fish, and meat, are top-notch. You can trust Asda's own brand.

I appreciate the checkout experience. The self-service conveyor belt is a godsend. Most competitors do not offer this convenience.

I enjoy the atmosphere in the store. It's hard to put a finger on what exactly it is, but it's delightful.

Even if none of these aspects were true, I would still find myself shopping there because of their 'Bad Company' ale selection. Exclusive to Asda, extremely affordable, and arguably some of the best ales available (Milkshake, West Coast IPA, Denver Stout).

I trust that the management understands that customers do take note of the effort they are putting into this establishment, because we do. It's truly a pleasant shopping destination.

Still a top-notch store, but the shelves seem a tad emptier than before. The new entrance gates could use some rethinking. I'm pleased to report that the travelators have finally been repaired! It would be great if they could open the upper car park earlier in the morning.
Jose Long (02/07/2025, 00:18):
I popped to your shop today to grab a few bits, but after I paid and checked my receipt, I was shocked at the cost. I couldn't believe it when I saw that I'd been charged £55 for a pack of pancakes! I mentioned it to the cashier, who told me to head over to customer services. When I got there, they pretty much blamed me for not checking my receipt properly. They said they'd refund the money onto my card, but it'll take a couple of days. No apology whatsoever. So now, I've got to wait for Asda to sort out their mistake. Absolutely rubbish service and customer care. It feels like you don't value your customers at all, and I won't be returning. Money's tight in Aberdeen right now, and I can't afford to have my cash tied up because of this kind of mistake from your store.
Jonathan Diaz (30/06/2025, 09:55):
Lovely shop like all ASDA's, smashing deals, staff are dead friendly, but watch out for the loo. I pop in here all the time, but every time I use the toilet it's an absolute stinker, proper rank! It's so bad you'd rather squat behind a bush. Feels like they've got nae air con in there. And the smell of piss is everywhere. (It's pretty much always like that)
David Foster (29/06/2025, 07:31):
I purchased the vacuum cleaner, and it's not functioning properly. Additionally, the washing hose is damaged. I request a refund for these faulty items.
Jonathan Butler (28/06/2025, 12:51):
Asda is typically my final option for quality food, but today was an absolute disaster. It seems like you can't even be trusted to grab a carrier bag on your own, as you have to wait for an employee to assist you with one and then scan it for you. I waited so long today for someone to finally notice me trying to get their attention that I ended up missing my bus, which I had plenty of time for before impulsively stopping by the store. I've decided to steer clear of Asda from now on.
Janet Alexander (27/06/2025, 12:42):
Absolutely loved the supermarket! The prices are so much cheaper and they have a huge variety of products to choose from. 100% recommend checking it out. Cheers! 🛒👍
Ruth Wright (23/06/2025, 15:35):
Not open round the clock!
It's been shut a couple of times past midnight!
Larry Murphy (22/06/2025, 20:22):
The market is fine, you know? It's big, bright, and airy with a huge range of stuff, including a massive clothing and entertainment area. But I made a bit of a blunder by popping into the Asda cafe the other day, mate. It was a right poor choice, it was. Firstly, they only had a limited menu early in the arvo around 2pm, even though the cafe stays open until 6pm. And let me tell ya, the food was just dreadful. The chips were dry and overcooked, tasted like they'd been laying around for donkeys' years. And the burger, well, it was too greasy and dry at the same time, mate. I struggled to get it down, I did. Felt like I wasted my time and dosh, to be honest. Should have gone to the McDonald's they've got in there instead. No wonder McDonald's was packed and lively while the Asda cafe was as quiet as a church mouse. Wish I'd asked for a refund now 'cause I barely touched the grub anyway. Steer clear of the cafe if you're after more than a cuppa, mate. But like I said, the market itself is spot on.
William Myers (22/06/2025, 08:54):
This enormous shopping centre boasts a wide array of small enterprises. From quaint cafes to well-known brands like McDonald's, you're sure to find something to suit your tastes. With a vast selection of food and clothing items, speedy service, and numerous cash registers, I highly recommend a visit.
Christian Miller (21/06/2025, 16:33):
Just popped into the store at 9:45 p.m. to grab an electrical gadget on the top floor, only to be turned away as the store was closing at 10 p.m. "But it's just 15 minutes away." Yes, but we have to start clearing out everyone. And then, to top it off, two staff members blocked all three down escalators with a barrier, stopping people from heading downstairs. Truly awful customer service.
Aaron Barnes (20/06/2025, 20:40):
They claimed to be open 24 hours, but when I arrived at half past midnight, the darn place was closed!
Eric Hill (19/06/2025, 18:00):
The customer service desk at this Asda store is simply dreadful - the staff are so rude and unfriendly, it's like everything you ask is a huge inconvenience to them. Every time I have had to deal with a certain lady there, returning items or just asking a simple question, her attitude and facial expressions are just absolutely awful. Judging by other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who has encountered this kind of attitude. It's quite humorous, in a sad way, to have someone like that working at a "customer service" desk.
Ashley Sanders (18/06/2025, 19:35):
I am absolutely gobsmacked by the customer service I received at this supermarket. I felt like I was being shadowed throughout the store, and they outright declined to let me make my purchase. The staff were terribly impolite, and it seems like the manager lacks proper training. I will definitely not be returning to this shop. Sainsbury's is the way to go! Cheers!
Jason Collins (18/06/2025, 09:00):
I find myself in Aberdeen most weeks, just for a day or two. Garthdee's Asda is my go-to spot for odds and ends. It's usually nearing midnight by the time I arrive, so you can imagine my surprise when I saw the shutters pulled down at the supposedly 24/7 store. Several cars pulled up, only to find the store closed, resulting in disappointed head shakes before they drove off. Curious about this unexpected closure, I decided to give Asda's information department a ring.
After a brief chat with a gentleman from customer service, I learned that the store has to shut down briefly, around 20 minutes or so, for essential security checks. True to their word, after just 10 minutes of waiting, the shutters lifted, and I was able to resume my late-night shopping spree.
Kenneth Bennett (18/06/2025, 04:58):
Massive shop, tons of space, endless options. Quite bustling but hardly any waiting in line. Parking was a breeze. The staff were so welcoming. I've marked it as a favorite on my Satnav since I visit from Leeds often.
Ronald Smith (15/06/2025, 03:08):
On the whole, it's been quite satisfactory, but I must say their Halloween pumpkins this year have been rather dreadful.
Janice White (13/06/2025, 22:32):
I popped down to return some Asda brand cheese last Wednesday morning and had quite the experience with one of their customer service reps. She wasn't too friendly or helpful, and seemed fixated on my receipt even though I explained that I had bought the cheese about 10 days ago.

The cheese was unopened and all I wanted was a refund, not a lecture. A little apology wouldn't have hurt either, but instead I got a scolding. Service with no smile. Come on, Mr. Asda, a smile doesn't cost much.

Thanks for the response, Asda. You asked what was wrong with the cheese, so I included two photos showing the mold. I'd say that's pretty clear information.
Billy Walker (12/06/2025, 12:10):
I had the most dreadful shopping experience!

The car park was full of potholes.
While scanning items to shop, the scanner worked fine, but figuring out how to return it to the charger was a whole different struggle. You have to leave the store and come back in... They even set up security barriers... And taking the trolley to the car? Not possible if you park in the small side car park. There's a trolley stopper on the pavement, so you end up having to unload the trolley and carry everything to your car. Believe me, already in pain, the trolley came to such an abrupt halt that I nearly shed a tear. I also detest seeing trolleys left in random spots, but I couldn't budge it from where it was. I am far from pleased. However, next time I will remember to shop at a different store or park somewhere else.
