Asda Clydebank Superstore: A Comprehensive Overview

Located in the heart of Clydebank, the Asda Clydebank Superstore offers a broad range of offerings that cater to the diverse shopping needs of its customers. However, feedback from shoppers suggests that the experience can vary widely depending on the time of visit and service received.

Shopping Convenience and Accessibility

With ample parking, including a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, Asda aims to ensure accessibility for all patrons. However, many shoppers have noted that free parking can be difficult to find during peak times, leading to frustration when attempting a quick visit.

Payment Options and Services

At Asda, various payment options are available, including credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the lack of no-contact delivery options and the availability of certain services during busy periods. Those using self-service checkouts often report long waits due to insufficient staffing, which diminishes the overall shopping efficiency.

Quality of Produce and In-store Experience

Many shoppers appreciate the great produce available at Asda, often highlighting the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. However, there have been numerous complaints regarding the cleanliness of the store, with customers describing it as “dirty” and “unhygienic.” This is particularly concerning given that some individuals have reported receiving expired products.

Customer Service: A Mixed Bag

Feedback about customer service at Asda Clydebank has been decidedly mixed. While several employees have been praised for their helpfulness, others have been criticized for unprofessional behavior. Many customers have recounted unpleasant interactions, particularly at the service desk and during grocery collection, where long wait times and poor communication have led to frustration. Shoppers have even reported feeling unwelcome or accused of inappropriate behavior during their visits.

Environmental Efforts and Recycling

Asda has also made strides in its recycling efforts, aiming to engage customers in sustainable practices. However, some shoppers feel that the overall management of waste in and around the store could be improved, with more bins needed outside to accommodate the volume of customers.

In-Store Pick-Up and Delivery Services

While Asda offers in-store pick-up and delivery services, experiences indicate that these can be hit or miss. Customers have shared frustrations about delays and difficulties in placing orders, particularly during peak shopping hours.

Conclusion: A Store of Potential

The Asda Clydebank Superstore holds tremendous potential as a one-stop shop for many local residents. With improvements in customer service, cleanliness, and efficient staff management, it could significantly enhance the shopper's experience. Despite its challenges, it remains a convenient option for those in Clydebank seeking a comprehensive selection of groceries and household goods.

Yesterday, on the 18th of March 2016, myself and a companion visited the supermarket. I must say, one of the managers there was truly exceptional! We had four full shopping carts between the two of us, and this manager not only helped us pack everything but also called in another staff member to assist. They even accompanied us outside to help load our van. The service was top-notch, and we had some great banter, especially when we were on the hunt for a toast rack. We even tried to tip the young lad who helped us, but he politely declined. Managers and supermarkets often receive a lot of negative feedback and endure a fair share of abuse, but I have to give credit where it's due - Asda at lunchtime yesterday was outstanding! Thank you, guys. We will definitely be back.

I had a rather unpleasant experience at the pizza counter today. The staff member serving a customer in front of me seemed rather rude, and when it was my turn, he abruptly informed me that they weren't taking any more orders. At 4 pm on a Friday? Absolutely ludicrous. What's the point of having a pizza deal and a counter if they don't operate past 4 pm? Quite disappointing, I must say.

Today, whilst shopping in-store, a young mother found herself without funds to pay for her groceries, which consisted solely of food and drinks for her child. Witnessing her predicament, I kindly offered to cover the £7.09 bill. Just as I was about to assist, James, a diligent employee at the supermarket, noticed the unfolding situation and promptly came to the rescue. Using his Apple Pay on his watch, he paid for the items, showcasing his exceptional kindness and selflessness. Such acts of generosity truly exemplify the outstanding service provided by Asda.
Sarah Reed (20/09/2025, 07:31):
I say, why do not you chaps have sandwiches on offer in the grocery section? When I pop into the store for a spot of shopping, I quite fancy grabbing a meal deal, but the sandwiches are stashed away over yonder past the tills. Then you have to queue up at the fag kiosk to settle the bill... Such a bother, I must say! I find meself popping over to Sainsbury's if I'm after some groceries and a bite to eat...

I would advise against placing an order through Uber Eats at this establishment. They are requiring a phone call upon arrival for item collection, which should already be prepared for the customer. Riders are only paid £3 for orders that are 4 miles away, while ASDA utilizes methods that ensure riders earn £3-5 per hour (before expenses). The employees at Uber Eats do not show concern as they are paid by the hour. This is completely inhumane. Despite claiming to assist people in times of crisis, they seem to be taking advantage of others instead.

So, I picked up some chicken drumsticks today and discovered a large white hair on one of them. Needless to say, that was the last time I'll be purchasing handmade food from that place. Definitely not worth the risk of getting sick.
Bruce Morgan (16/09/2025, 01:25):
It's a wee bit on the small side, but it's no' bad. You encounter the local rabble out and about, getting their smart price goods and the occasional quick snack. The self-checkout service can be a bit sluggish when the thing decides to act up with a red light tantrum. Despite that, I had a fantastic time as I always do.
Nathan Gutierrez (13/09/2025, 17:48):
It's quite alright, but it really grinds my gears when you step inside and find out they've rearranged the items you were after to a whole other aisle. They do offer some decent deals though. Additionally, I can't stand it when the store is packed with people.
Gerald Ward (12/09/2025, 01:50):
A top-notch market all around, but it's a shame they don't carry any brown sauce for your sausage roll.
Mia Sanders (08/09/2025, 10:46):
I recently went to Asda Clydebank on the evening of February 5th 24 and was quite surprised to see that they had raised the price of 20 Chesterfield cigarettes from 10.50 pounds to 11.20 pounds. This seems like a blatant rip-off, targeting smokers with discrimination and greed. Smokers already contribute significantly through high taxes and VAT on cigarettes to support the NHS, so it feels very greedy of Asda to take advantage of us with such a steep increase of 70 pence. It's pure greed, and I won't be giving my business to this store again as I strongly dislike when businesses act in such a greedy manner.
Matthew Anderson (07/09/2025, 04:34):
I popped into the Cafe today and I must say, I was quite impressed with the service provided by the lad, David Agnew. Despite being solo, he handled the rush quite admirably. He was incredibly polite, charming, and affable. Not only did he attend to the customers with a smile, but he also made sure the tables were neat and tidy. A real hardworking young man, he's truly an asset to Asda.
Layla Torres (06/09/2025, 15:43):
Excellent variety of products. The produce is always fresh and top-notch. The staff is friendly and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
Dylan Hayes (02/09/2025, 15:26):
I just noticed that your opening times are not accurate as it stated 6am but you were closed when I tried to visit shortly after the New Year. It might be a good idea to update your timings to avoid any confusion in the future. Cheers!
Patrick Sanders (31/08/2025, 17:19):
I used to do all my shopping at this place, but there's always a lack of stock and prices have doubled in the past year. The door on the meat fridge has been broken for months now, and I refuse to purchase warm ham. The whole situation is quite basic, so who knows what's happening behind the scenes.
Nicole Coleman (30/08/2025, 22:33):
One can clearly see that this supermarket has changed ownership, as some price increases are quite evident. I only stopped by today because I was in the area, but I won't be returning. With Tesco, at least I earn points and can take advantage of discounts through Clubcard deals. I left with less than a quarter of what I would usually purchase, and ended up going to Tesco for the rest.
Roy Jones (30/08/2025, 18:07):
If you're keen on experiencing a taste of chaos, do pay a visit to Asda Clydebank. This entrance to the underworld is inhabited by the living dead and various forms of zombies. And that's just the employees. If you enjoy challenges, I would highly suggest this dreadful place for your weekly shopping trip.
Jose Henderson (30/08/2025, 03:39):
It can get quite busy at times. I would recommend visiting early on a Sunday morning for a more pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and always ready to assist.
Cheryl Peterson (28/08/2025, 21:30):
I must say, the personnel and security staff at this establishment are quite lacking in professionalism. I was utterly shocked when they unjustly accused me, a long-standing customer, of shoplifting. I've been frequenting this store for years! I've decided to escalate this issue to the head office and spread the word on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, I will be reaching out to my local representatives and even consider involving the media. The only manager available to address the situation was an online trading manager, who, frankly, seemed ill-equipped to handle such matters. I sincerely hope that appropriate measures are taken in response to this incident, as I am determined to see justice served and ensure that no one else experiences this kind of treatment.
Jesse Young (27/08/2025, 14:29):
In my humble opinion, compared to other stores, it can be a tad messy... but still, not too shabby!
Zachary Long (23/08/2025, 07:29):
The staff at this Supermarket are incredibly friendly and helpful. Just like any other Asda, you can find everything you need here. The prices and promotions are great too.

However, it can be a bit of a challenge to find a parking spot during weekends or busy times. Additionally, they do not accept contactless payment or Android Pay, which can be a downside for some customers.
